-Had a perfectly normal childhood with perfectly normal parents. When asked about his past, he would probably say something about how he “only looks forward” or something like that, but he’s not secretly hiding a terrible past, he just likes seeming mysterious.
-Because of how much of a wanderer he is, he’s moved in and out of Recolle throughout the years.
-Is probably some sort of masked vigilante or something. But since it sounds like there’s not really crime in the city, this probably amounts to heckling jaywalkers and pestering people who let their parking meters expire.
-Unless the above isn’t true in which case he thinks he’s fighting crime but really he’s just bothering people. Most of the time, anyway. He’s not a complete loser. He means well, he just doesn’t have it all together.
-He does, however, have a strong sense of justice just like in canon. As he’s from Berseria he won’t have the cynical world-weary attitude he has in Zestiria, instead there’s going to be a lot of INTENSE JUSTICE from Zaveid’s direction. It’ll probably make him come across as younger than he actually is, left over from being something as long-lived as a malak in a previous life.
-Probably has an apartment full of cats with hand-stitched name collars.
-Because of his INTENSE JUSTICE, he might come across as a little naïve; because he’s the kind of guy who would probably lecture people about using things like insecticide and rat traps. I just really want him to be That Guy who shitposts on the network about how weed killers are making the city less beautiful or something similar.

Some miscellaneous ideas I’m playing with:

I'm still hashing a lot of this out, but here's what I have so far:
•She's from a family of detectives, who used to be really well-known before they suddenly disappeared from the public eye.
•She was born in Japan, but most of her childhood was spent travelling, and she moved around quite a few times when she was younger.
•After her mother's mysterious death and her father's disappearance shortly after, Kyouko moved back to Japan to live with her grandfather where she lived until she decided to move to Recolle for university.
•She's currently studying forensics, and hopes to be a detective someday to restore her family's name and possibly figure out what really happened to her parents.
•Kyouko also works on cold cases she comes across, or on cases that people hire her for. She's still working on getting the hang of detective work, but being with her parents while they worked on cases when she was younger has given her a head start.
•Her personality is mostly the same! She's still quiet and often comes off as pretty cold, due to moving around a lot before and not wanting to get close to others as a result. She does have a soft spot for her friends, even if she's still somewhat guarded around them.
•She's also closed off when it comes to her past as well, since she doesn't like talking about it.
•As for hobbies, she enjoys playing the piano and shopping. She also spends a lot of the time in the library doing research on either her own family or for cases she's taken on. Kyouko also spends quite a bit of time studying, since she takes her schoolwork seriously and is determined to at least be near the top of her class.
•She also has a weakness for cute things.

• He has natural dark eyes and hair. Eventually he’ll regain his red eyes/hair and shark teeth and not be happy about it at first.
• He really likes "manly things" and is big into the idea of acting like a proper man. If he likes you he'll call you manly, no matter the gender or age.
• Because becoming a hero isn't a thing that exists in Recolle Eijirou has made it his goal to become a top-notch villain instead. (Both his parents and his godfather have some vague ties to the organized crime, which filled his head with all the wrong ideas about adventurous outlaw life and honor codexes. They sent him to Recolle in the hope that the time without bad influences will make him grow out of it.)
• He doesn't have a clue what being a villain is really like. He doesn’t care, he wants to become one that's respected by everyone and doesn't need to resort to any dirty tactics anyway! ~~Yeah, this isn’t gonna go good for long.~~
• He has way too much energy to burn and not enough methods for doing so. He loves competing with others and is a people-person who can't turn a blind eye on anybody in trouble.
• When he was little he got into martial arts (most likely capoeira, I'm not sure yet). Nowadays he is both a good dancer and regular at street battles and competitions.
• He gets often asked to join sports teams, but while he enjoys the competition and the company he doesn’t do well enough with structures to ever last long.
• Basically an ambitious honest idiot with a heart of gold who tries way too hard to be bad and fails regularly at it.
• He’ll still sock you in the face and not be sorry for it if given a reason to, though.
• An optimistic realist who won't let you talk badly about yourself but is pretty hard on himself.
• He has a silent constant feeling of being inadequate and a fear of being left behind or forgotten about by everyone else, even when he knows that it’s nonsense. It makes him both highly competitive and driven to make up with his actions what his heart keeps telling him he lacks in his skills and looks.
• Because of this he’s something of a scaredy-cat.
• Really good with knives and tanking blows, but embarrassed to talk about it.
• Okay student. Not really good with academics, but also not terrible. He misses class a lot, but makes sure to always have the amount of good grades and attendance that he needs to pass. Most of the time he just daydreams in class.

LOOKING FOR: Friends, teachers, people to make fail or serious enemies with, PEOPLE FOR HIM TO BEFRIEND WHETHER THEY WANT IT OR NOT AND THE OTHER WAY ROUND, bad influences, good influences, sparring buddies. I'm pretty clueless with what I want to do so far, so toss anything you have at me!

I'm still working out a lot of this, so sorry it's gonna be a bit shaky and all over the place! I haven't quite decided how much or how little I want her to be alike to her former self. Tentatively, I've been considering the following things (please let me know if I mess up any game related things, I have a very bad memory):

• Naminé has been living in the city for her entire life, with very well off parents.

• She's always been very sick and frail, so her parents always kept her at home as much as possible, and schooled her there as well.

• As such, she's very very sheltered, doesn't have a lot of friends, and has very little understanding of what the world is actually like, and what it's like to actually need for anything.

• Most of her socialization has come from the internet, and she has developed a fondness for coding, and aspires to combine that with her art and create video games that are more artsy and don't involve fighting, think along the lines of Journey.

• Her parents are very very strict, and have very high expectations of her. Naminé has to excel in everything she does in order to garner any sort of attention from them, and thus is a very big people pleaser and a bit desperate for recognition.

• If I do have her be in her first year of college, this will be her first time ever away from home and on her own, which she forcibly insisted on. Being as sheltered as she is, she is completely lost as to what to do with herself, besides attend classes and ???? at everything.

• Living on campus, at the school's dorms.

• She's majoring in art, I'm tentatively considering illustration, but what she really wants is to design video games, as mentioned earlier. Her parents won't pay for her to go to school if she does, letting her major in illustration was already stretching it enough as it was.

• As a random fact, Naminé's pretty good at playing the clarinet, since her parents had her learn an instrument in order to strengthen her lungs.

• Major differences in character: the biggest thing is, of course, she doesn't really despise herself and think that, as a Nobody, she isn't supposed to exist. Her canon self is resigned to doing what she can to help on the sidelines and let everyone's lives go on without her, but Cecilia is different. She wants to be involved, she has significantly more self worth and confidence in herself (though she does have a lot of performance anxiety and worries, and a need to be recognized), and doesn't have any belief that she deserves to be in someone's shadow. She wants to make friends, and have a place to call her own, and would like to attempt to step out and do so if she can. Cecilia isn't necessarily shy, but she is a little clueless as to how exactly you approach people with the intents of making friends, so she's a little anxious about that sort of thing. Naminé tends to speak with a lot more confidence than Cecilia though, who has a lot less assurance of what she does and says, and what her role in life is, since Naminé already knew exactly what it was she needed to do to make an impact. ??? More stuff maybe? Who knows yet.

LOOKING FOR: Critique and suggestions, most of all! But potential sources of CR are fine, too. She would've somewhat regularly seen the kids of her parent's friends, so being childhood friends isn't out of the question. You could also go to school with her and have seen her around, and maybe have talked to her a bit, or tried to take her under your wing. I think she'd still be working a bit on the actual like, real legit friendship thing though.

- He's born and bred jewish new york and has the matzah to prove it. Doesn't actually practice as much as he probably should but.... bacon is tasty.
- Here majorly on scholarship. Taking just enough classes to be Stressed Out nigh constantly because of it. Keeps long hours because he panic studies. Friends with most baristas near the campus, definitely knows a majority of them by name.
- Has a fount of useless knowledge because he trawls recollepedia when the hours get weird
- He's a bit (a lot) by the books but with enough convincing even he'll get swept up with crowd and do something wild and unexpected. A true neutral. He's definitely had a number of surprising experiences because of it.
- Definitely a bit old fashioned and not up to date with the latest. A majority of the time will not know anything entertainment wise with the niblings not around to keep him up to date. Someone help this child.
- #SUFFERS at being the straight man to Jack's shenanigans. Became roommates with him if only over the horror at the others lack of food skill. At least be can boil water dear god.
- His cooking skills is actually only about bachelor average. Can heat up cans of soup on the stove and put things in the oven for cooked food. Bakes delicious stress cookies however.
- For all his loner nerd image he's actually quite friendly and personable. A little harder to emulate now that baby bro isn't around to stop from talking to every stranger on the street but he manages
- I'm not saying he builds toy models but he definitely builds toy models
- I'm also sure he's also spent a good time of his younger teens addicted to WoW or the equivalent of but maybe tabletop gaming? Both? There's definitely a nerdy subgroup he's apart of online or not.
LOOKING FOR: People to get him away Jack. People for him to meet Because of Jack. Classmates. People he's bonded with over late night study jams. Small (or large) children whom he can big bro at to fill his sibling hole. Honestly anyone interested tbh

Aster is a 15 year old girl who happened to start making it big on YouTube around the age of 13. She plays guitar and sings for her videos. Hiro Hamada (zerotohiro), another Youtuber, is her best friend, and she absolutely adores her dad, Frank (batches). She's also pretty close with her aunt Penelo (mincingminuet).
She's!! A musician!! Her dad probably started getting her lessons when she started asking for them around age nine or so. She's always loved music and has a pretty voice. At some point she started recording the songs she'd sing and decided to post them online, and was shocked at her own popularity.
Most of the songs she does are acoustic covers, but she dabbles in original things here and there. She struggles with songwriting so she tends to shy away from it.
She's lived with her dad in Recollé for about two years and she's a student at Recollé High. They have a dog that she loves to pieces.
In part due to being a YouTube star, Aster is very outgoing and bubbly, often and very easily social. She can be insecure sometimes, as she took it especially hard when she first started getting popular - and thus, started getting mean comments. But support from her family and her friends has kept her grounded and she's mostly over any online harassment she received, or still receives.
Aster brings her guitar with her everywhere, even to school each day. It's a special 3/4 size acoustic that better suits her small frame and small hands, and has very pretty carvings and inlays. Her dad got it for her at a flea market when she was just ten.
She's an above-average student with an interest in computer science that stems almost entirely from having Hiro for a best friend. Still, she's actually pretty good with computers, though doesn't really have any ambition to do anything with that skill.
Though she's had less time for them as her YouTube fame has grown, Xion actually really loves sports and used to be on the track team until she got too busy. Now she just runs as a hobby/way to exercise.
Her handle as a YouTuber is "Xion," which she came up with when she first started out.
Her dad shows up in her videos sometimes. You guys. She really loves her dad because he's The Best.
She's got a soft spot for all cute things but most especially dogs and will go gaga over them.
In her spare time she's a total nerd who absolutely LOVES all things Disney and plays video games.
Mostly she's a pretty well-adjusted teenage girl of minor celebrity who is pretty happy most of the time and loves her family and her friends!
That said, she has no idea what to do in the future. She doesn't know if she can translate YouTube fame into a real career, and harbors concerns about what she'll do when she graduates high school.
Aster also carries some guilt over her dad being a teenage parent and having to sacrifice so much to raise her. She worries she's an undue burden on him and that she might've been a "mistake" in his life, though she hasn't told anyone this (aside from maybe Hiro).

She was on the school team team her freshman year of high school, but she dropped after that year because it took up so much time. Sorry, teammates. :/ Neri is half Egyptian (because wtf, canon, wtf) on her mom's side, but she doesn't do much at all with that. She knows a bit about rigging things. Like she probably camps out at the beach now and then when she's feeling full-on hippie. (In canon, she built herself a nest up in a tree. #justalienthings)

- When she finally got back to fighting form, she didn't even get to do one full match before realising her leg was still off. It turned out arthritis had set in around her knee due to the severity of the injury.
- She's been left with a permanent limp and needs a cane to get around.
- Luca works an office job in Recolle, but doesn't necessarily need the money to survive. She made quite a bit of money during her career and could live comfortably, as she isn't much of a spender.
- She is like. In her late 40s at this point I guess.

- Gets offered a modeling job at around 20 and quickly gains popularity with that due to his seemingly eternal youth and androgynous features
- Continues to model and give those sword lessons on the side at his place. Tends to be easily recognizable by when he goes out and fans know him by his stage name "Koga".
- Has a habit of calling his fans his children
- Lots of rumors about what his real age is but he never actually tells anyone the real answer so no one knows more beyond "Koga is older than he looks!"
- Habit of adopting others and letting them stay at his decently sized property if they need it and generally being a father to them.
- Enjoys going out for tea or to admire any scenary
- Yep, he's still a model, guys. And he treats all of his fans well. Those who hire him as well which explains why people want to keep working with him.
- Keeps a pair of crows as pets and they've appeared in some photoshoots with him.

- Probably a criminal before he came to Recolle. Probably had jailtime. You'll never know.
- Once he got out he had a hard time establishing himself in Australia of just wanting to work and keep to himself.
- Decided to move somewhere else, picked America and then Recolle for no specific reason.
- Probably lived here about ten years? Twenty? He's been here a long time anyway.
- He started off doing repairs freelance. Eventually opened up a pawn shop he worked out of; while he isn't out doing his repairing rounds, he can be found there buying and selling unwanted crap people have. Scraps a lot of stuff too for cash.
- He, despite his past (and au self) is actually a legitimate guy. He gives everyone a fair prices to try and foster customer loyalty. He knows it'll make him more cash in the long run.
- At some point an old friend of his got in contact with him and said their son was moving out to Recolle after he finished up at college. They asked him to look after him while he was there, which he accepted.
- He regrets this
- That son (Junkrat) lives with him, and they both live in the upper floor of the pawn shop. They get along but also don't get along. It's complicated.
- He's actually secretly very anti-establishment but only if you get him drunk, at which point he doesn't...shut up.

LOOKING FOR:

- customers!! If something breaks in your house/place of business and you want to have a reliable guy who can fix it up for you, Roadhog's your man. I'd like him to have a base of people who call him up often for this kind of thing. It's a better way to establish past cr anyway because he's less likely to make "Friends" normally. But he'd have no problem getting to know people who frequently make use of his services.

-Senior at Recolle HS and one of the best hockey players in school. Also known for his somewhat unusual style of play as he throws in figure skating moves in here and there when dodging and weaving and getting around the opponents.
-This is because he had a little sister who was very much into figure skating and he often spent time with her after hockey practice to help her with her skating, often learning the moves with her.
-Sadly, he lost her when he was 12 and she was 8 in a car accident. He and his father survived, but she didn't make it. Jack had stopped skating for several years after that, it wasn't until high school that his father helped convince him to try again when they moved to Recolle.
-He decided to remember in the way he knew how and that was to do the thing she'd always wanted, not that he could ever be an actual figure skater, but using the very same moved she learned.
-Jack himself is a very friendly guy and loves kids, he sometimes plays harmless pranks but all in all, he's the guy not many can dislike because he tries to make it so people are happy. It has helped him move past his own grief. Most likely would be someone who volunteers at the YMCA or something similar to it or likes helping out at city events like fairs and whatnot that would involves having fun with kids and teens.
-He's not a loner this time around since, obviously, people can see him and he likes hanging out with people.
-Although he is a bit of a secret nerd when it comes to all things myth/folklore based. He adores the stories, and if the option is given in school, he'll take the corresponding class. ~~He's basically like Jamie Bennet, Big Foot and Santa are so real, fite me~~
-He'll most likely minor in the subject in college if Hockey is still a thing once he graduates, he's unsure if he wants to play professionally or not. Otherwise, he might put the hockey stick down and focus on literature and such.
-Also, Jack will be a brunette here with heterochromia, one brown eye and one blue eye.

LOOKING FOR: Friends, mostly. Wouldn't mind a dad character actually being his dad if anyone wants to go that route. Aside from that, mostly friendly CR, although I'm not opposed to negative CR either.

His mother had died prior to that due to sickness, and part of the reason why Rock hated his dad outside of him being a horrible human being who would kill anyone who stood in his way was that he wouldn't come visit or help his mother while she was sick. then blah blah continuing legacies blah blah must find out truth behind mother's death because my uncle who may or may not use me for his own purposes planted a seed of doubt in my mind blah blah blah. (actual legitimate drama/story from a fighting game. who knew.)

Anyway - this AU version isn't going to have much of that. Marie still is dead, but this time from childbirth complications, and the AU version of Geese (... which I'm probably changing his name to George or something because wtf SNK) isn't a colossal toolbag for once. So he's more isolated rich kid, really. He does have a bit of a mischevious streak, riding his motorcycle and sneaking out at night when he gets a chance.

In canon, Geese's "business" was touted as a security firm on the surface (with more police corruption and gang violence underneath), but I'm not 100% sure what (if) Howard Connection will be in the AU version. Maybe something similar.

-As you can see, much of his AU is taken from Goofy Movie, but regardless, a lot of his personality traits derive from KH. Around Max he's like his Goofy Movie counterpart though because who doesn't like an overprotective dad> Gawrsh!

Born in Cairo to an upper-middle class family as the oldest child. They moved to a suburb of Recolle when he was 5 to live with other relatives. He had some fond memories of his hometown, and he revisited Cairo a few times growing up.

Did very well in school while growing up and was involved on lots of community events - he's a people person. This also meant that people looked up to him and expected good things from him. Mohammed was happy to provide.

Studied English/History in university and then got a Master's in Library Science. He was a teaching assistant for a while, so he could have met some college students that way! He was the guy that always participated in discussions and really, really loves the reading material

Works either at the library or museum preserving old texts. He might also be involved in a book club?

He's a huge history and culture buff, and he's always reading up on places around the world and taking notes. His dream is to travel around the world and ~~have a bizarre adventure~~ see all of the neat historical sites and stuff.

He's pretty proud of his accomplishments, but he's not going to brag about it to your face. It's just expected that's he's smart and mature and responsible,
so why bring it up? This also means that he tends to be the mom friend even when no one asked and gives out advice like he knows best. He usually does.

Dresses up very nicely and holds himself so that some people mistake him to be older than he really is. His default demeanor is to be polite at everyone (though if you're an asshole to his friends, fear for your safety). Please relax and have fun, Mohammed.

Actually he can relax, but he's got an image to maintain and he won't share his dirty sense of humor or goof around unless you have a high enough Social Link with him. H

Owns four pet budgies named after 80's musicians (I haven't decided on the names) that he loves and talks to every day. He has a secret YouTube channel where he posts videos of their daily antics and talks about bird care.

He's kind of an animal lover, which is how he got involved in volunteering at the animal shelter. He's organized and patient and thinks animals deserve respect. He's also somehow managed to win the grudging affection of a Boston Terrier that was the terror of the shelter, and now it kind of only listens to him. No one really knows how he does it. Mohammed may or may not be considering adopting the ugly dog.

He throws himself at any opportunity to help out the community and talk to people to the point that he probably should start scaling back a bit.

Independently wealthy by way of an inheritance and as such has never really needed to work a job, but I'd so be down for her having worked various gigs in the past because she was bored.
Unlike canon she does not have a nuclear family of her own and has not really found a lasting life partner. This means that Elda is as if not more lonely than she is in canon and given her lot in life probably fills that by being as obnoxious in other people's business as possible. Shopping? Local town councils? Maybe even fostering kids? SHRUGS
In that same vein, I'd considered her attempting to join this modern world and trying dating sites. Not sure about that. But anyone want in on that? I'm all for stupid shit man. She'd actually love to have some sort of partner and probably would be okay with romances but. Uh. She's demanding.
Another sort of amusing gag I'd considered would be that she actually has schooling (because I think she'd have gone to college either way) through like nursing and pre-med and such, so I was considering (because hurr hurr vampire) her being a phlebotomist largely just to have something to do with the day, in contradiction to what I said up there. Maybe just for blood drives or whatever? I'd need to look into that more.

LOOKING FOR: I'm down for anything except family relations (unless we're like friends OOC and we know each other and in that case hit me up on pp or im or whatever) unless they're like... distant high minded old family shit like you'd need a genealogist or at least a family tree to place them because that shit sounds hilarious to me. Other than that stipulation, however:

Friends? People she plays cards with? People she goes to the bad or wine club with? People she treats to dinners or invites over to her house? Fellow cat (or bat?) aficionados? Neighbors or people who'd know her from like a village council? People who work at places she frequents and thus she feels like she's friendly with them? There's a number of options here.
"Enemies" by way of some sort of old petty grudge that doesn't necessarily need to be mutual. People who annoyed her back in her elementary or college schooling. People who she thinks are prettier than her and thus she hates. Those damned kids who sneak onto her lawn (okay girl you're not that old). Honestly, Elda has a lot of openings for petty bullshit.
Maaaaybe kids she previously tried to foster? Maybe. People who knew her from previous jobs she tried to do? People who she follows the youtube videos of unexpectedly given her age and disposition? I'm not sure. I'm open for literally anything though so throw it at me.

* - I'm not 100% sold on this one. She's a grandmother in canon and while like I said I'm not really looking for family outside of like my friends I've sort of played around with what if she was younger (given her appearance, though I know that can be changed) or older (given her canon vibe) I've also played around with her being in a more dire economic situation, but the AU I've presented here is the one I'm most happy with so far? I think?

-Robin is an exceedingly intelligent and very friendly man who is currently in the process of changing careers after his time in the military
-His parents died when he was in his teens and he forewent the adoption process. Instead, he entered into religious studies in hopes of helping people as a way of paying forward all the help he received when he was younger.
-He has no living family that he knows of, but he looks at his friends as a kind of extended family
-He left the military because he couldn't take seeing people he knew personally get hurt any longer.
-Much of his personality remains consistent with canon-- he's a friendly bookworm who is just as willing to play pranks and jokes alongside/with the people he's close to. He has a dorky streak, and is incredibly optimistic.
