On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. It could've been back when she was still poor income mom and she was having A Day and then on top of everything else her car breaks down outside his shop

And she comes in to ask to use his phone to call a mechanic but he offers to take a look at it for her

And ever since she comes to him for car repairs/selling stuff for money

If she's ever really strapped for cash he probably let her like, pay what she could (maybe like, pay the rest later in the month) to help her out
