AU NAME: KIV on this, haven't really given this much thought yet.
AU AGE: 19
AU OCCUPATION: Full-time café staff. See blurb for details.

BLURB:

• A very serious and intense person! If he decides to do something, you'll get nothing less than 100% from him.


• Also very polite, though very stiff.


• Not a Recolle native, though he moved into town 2-3 months ago. Has some relatives who currently stay in Recolle, but they don't really keep in contact with him beyond "You doing okay?" "Yes."


• Doesn't remember much about his actual parents - their locations are unknown to him for the past 15 years of his life. Maybe they're off scaling some unnamed mountain. Maybe they just decided to up and leave. Either way, he doesn't remember.


• Was bounced around to a couple of relatives in different states throughout his entire pre-college days. Didn't really have ace attendance at school so pulling his grades up was a struggle.


• Currently works as waiter at a café. Trying to decide which café in particular- on one hand, I'd like to go with butler cafés but cat café sounds cute. Can we have butler uniforms for cat cafés? Best of both worlds.


• He'll be attending Recolle Uni in the autumn sem. He'll be majoring in Asian Literature!


• Practices martial arts on the side, probably in a class at the fitness centre (if it isn't too spendy) or the community centre (the more economical option). Considering his limited budget, option #2 is looking more viable. He'll only specialise in one type of martial art of course, but I haven't decided on which. Judo maybe?

This is still pretty rough and I'm probably gonna be changing around some details.

LOOKING FOR: Roommates! Fellow café staff! Fellow martial arts practioners...? People who've known him despite his short spells of attendance back in (various) schools would be a plus -- even if he never did stay very long at one.

I guess in the end, friends would be nice? To make the jump from "acquaintances" to "friends" is a little tough with him, though.

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Honestly, I'm kinda on the fence about apping him or K's Shiro. Shiro's a lot friendlier and is more inclined to use social media, but Kuroh seems like a more rewarding option if he opens up to people...? Life's tough.

Kouran | Original Character

I had her in the last workshop but didn't app her for April, so this is slightly updated and with a shiny new PB!

PLAYER: Mori
CHARACTER: Kouran
CANON: Original. She's from a setting where a Japanese town happens to have a series of seals keeping horrific monsters from running loose into the world. Said seals also happen to be breaking, because the town is growing into a city. Kouran is a seasonal god (winter and spring) and one of the town's guardian deities, and a terrible mentor to a bunch of kids + one college student who have gained powers and are pretty much the only hope the town has if they don't want to be overrun by monsters. The problem is half of them are kind of asshats.


AU NAME: Kouran Yamazaki
AU AGE: 15-16
AU OCCUPATION: Student, part-timer at a florist shop
BLURB: - Born in Japan, has lived most of her life in Kyoto.
- Family owns a huge construction firm and is pretty rich.
- Parents are traditionalists and a little overprotective over her, so she's been raised to be a Good Proper Lady from a young age. Largely home-schooled and taught traditional Japanese arts such as calligraphy, tea ceremony, flower arrangement etc.
- They also have business ties to the yakuza, which has lead to a huge scandal involving fraud and blackmail around 7-9 months or so ago.
- She's been sent to Recolle to live with relatives and lay low until the fallout from above scandal cools off. She's been in Recolle for about 7+ months and lives with Sousuke's family.
- Lived a highly regimented and supervised lifestyle before Recolle, so she's been basking in the relative freedom she has while she's staying with her relatives.
- Polite, cultured, and probably gives off an air of being really high brow and upper class...
- ...But also something of an airhead and frankly just plain eccentric. She's prone to being absent-minded and it's easy to tell she's rather sheltered.
- Doesn't go out of the way to socialise a whole lot, but is generally easy to get along with. Really hard to anger.
- Likes to paint and genuinely enjoys flower arrangement, which is one reason why she's working at the florist shop. Prefers still-life painting and natural subjects.
- Adores cute things. Also finds many creepy things adorable. She enjoys things like ghost stories, occult stuff and morbid imagery, and thinks it's all entertaining in good fun.
- She's probably dabbling in trying to figure out her own interests since this is like, the most freedom she's ever had in her life to try new things. Does not invalidate the above, just that not being chaperoned constantly means she indulges her curiosity way more often, which will most likely get her into trouble.
- Has complicated feelings about her parents and the expectations placed on her, which is to say, she doesn't really hate or resent them, but she is also increasingly unhappy with the railroading and the looming marriage interview that they will probably want for her in the near future.

LOOKING FOR:
- My dream is to have PCs as one or two of her older siblings who may or may not have flipped off the familial obligations and ollied out to do their own thing, if you give me any of them I will actually cry tears of joy,,,
- Friends! Classmates at high school! Please befriend this weirdo girl. People she might have met at the florist shop also count. She hasn't had many friends growing up so it'd be nice for her to actually make some here.
- Other rich kids or associates she could have known from back home or through her family's connections.
- Good influences! Bad influences! She's a sheltered kid so she's kind of impressionable.
- Really I'm game for anything, a lot of background details are flexible to accommodate whatever. My current plan is for her to have a relatively nice and normal life with friendships and growing up before I drop the "btw you're not actually human or very good at being a person, also have fun being removed from your own humanity" stuff on her via regains.

AU OCCUPATION: A college intern, and specifically a polisci major.
BLURB:
- His parents moved from Egypt to Recolle.
- So, he was born in Recolle and has lived here all his life!!
- He wants to be a politician like his father!
- At least that's what he thinks he wants. He never thought about doing anything else, and he was always about making his parents happy and living up to their standards. He likes the idea of being a civil servant and working towards a better future, but whether it'll be as like his dad or not who knows.
- He's burnt out and depressed, but heck if anyone will ever know it!! Bottle those feelings and let them age like a fine wine.
- MUCH LIKE HIS CANON SELF HE'S DIFFICULT TO READ. Humor will be a larger defense mechanism to keep people from knowing that he's depressed. He still makes bad puns.
- A huge online gamer.
- He's incredibly hush about it because he finds most hardcore gamers annoying, and he prefers his privacy.
- He's that jackass that procrastinates and finishes all his school work last minute, but somehow manages to ace his exams.

There's more I still need to think about, but that's what I have so far.

AU NAME: Lucas ???? no idea on last name but we'll figure it out
AU AGE: 18
AU OCCUPATION: Highschool Graduate/Upcoming College Freshman
BLURB:

• Brown haired and definitely not sporting all the crazy scars that are in his icons LET'S JUST GET THAT OUT OF THE WAY. He will look normal. /o/


• Incoming to Recolle U, majoring in Music and minoring in History. He is coasting by COMPLETELY on scholarship. He is not shy about saying so.


• Gifted with the violin just short of being a full prodigy - was accepted into plenty of universities for their music programs, but ended up choosing Recolle because of the location in relation to his parents. Only partially his choice. He also plays the harmonica for fun and has a decent amount of vocal talent, but the violin took top billing.


• His father is a CEO-type of sorts with an incredible amount of influence and his mother is a socialite and camera-hog to an obsessive degree. Moving locations for the sake of profit is not new, and Lucas has been bred to be hyper-aware of how important social appearance can be. He's also very, very used to being a poster child for classical music for the sake of his parents.


• He hates it. Normally a passionate and emotional person, he bottles everything for the sake of social graces, which results in a short fuse and constant amounts of stress. Music is one of his only means of expression, which is partially why he performs so well in the moment.


• In front of esteemed or neutral company (ex. visiting guests for his folks), he is cold, stuffy, and aloof in the way teenagers are, but tends to keep quiet. In front of everyone else, he's hotheaded and brash with a tendency to both run his mouth and punch things/people. He sent a classmate to the ER in 7th grade and was pulled from public schooling for a couple of years, outside of AP classes.


• Currently housed in his parents' swanky pad, where they've lived since Lucas started highschool. His father travels constantly so it is normally only Lucas and his mother, and Mom tends to spend most of her week talking to everyone that ever existed in her line of sight. Suffice to say he spends a lot of time alone.


• All throughout highschool and into the near future, Lucas will have been sneaking out on a regular basis from his home to go wander the streets in the evenings, mainly to find karaoke bars (he's only sung maybe once or twice) or just places to get into a good fight and let off some steam. Sometimes he'll just throw on hobo clothing, curl up under a lightpost and play his harmonica for spare change, which he tends to pass on to other street musicians when he thinks no one else is looking (or he'll give it to a kid and tell them to give it to said musician and threaten a punch to the teeth if the kid runs off BUT YOU GET THE IDEA).


• He is Ridiculously Not Straight and still in slight denial about it, but it took a couple girlfriends and a lot of drama to nail just how miserable he was feeling with girls. He hasn't bothered talking to his parents about it. He'll just be in the corner flustering HILARIOUSLY QUICK about cute boys nbd.
• 
  
• Average grades, but LOVES reading for the sake of it. If he's not practicing he's curled up somewhere with a book.... or out somewhere with a book............ He spends a lot of time in the library if he knows people won't swarm him.


• A horribly picky eater and could stand to gain some weight, but he has a soft spot for citrus and berries and tends to be a regular at shops and bakeries that use them well. Sorry to the people that work there in advance.


• Likes cats, can't have cats because his mother thinks they're pests and make their house look/smell horrific.
  If you have a cat he'll spend more time with the cat than you.

LOOKING FOR:

• FELLOW RICH BRATS??? Possibly people that have heard about him or his family, been to houses or parties or award ceremonies or whatever, etc etc. His family isn't Kardashian-levels of loaded but both of his parents get their noses into everything and present him in conversation like a crowning trophy, so I'd love to play with connections there.


• Music people! He'll know the most through the classical crowd, but people that have seen him out at karaoke or on the streets with his harmonica would be fab.


• People to beat him up/for him to beat up. He's incredibly easy to provoke into a fight and gets so antsy to search for one at times.


• Previous classmates as well as upcoming college kids or people he took AP classes with!


• EXES....... failed girlfriends mostly. Childhood crushes would be wonderful if people wanted to go for that, though he's a pretty brash and tsundere personality.


• On the flipside, the dude needs a boyfriend, come tell me why your character should be his boyfriend.


• A mentor type in a teacher would be great. He doesn't have a lot of adult support for being completely and healthily independent, and he's making plenty of stupid decisions with his emotions, so to have someone to slap his wrist and be down to earth with him would be so nice.


• RELATIVES/CHILDHOOD FRIENDS WOULD BE COOL he is an only child so no siblings, please, but he's lived in so many places that I could totes be flexible to meeting people and then just being penpals because "connections are important" is his family's whole deal.

OH MY GOD he's like... Fai's younger self help....

Fai is/was a music prodigy, plays the violin (and basically everything else, but his best is the violin), plays the harmonica randomly because it's small enough to keep in his messenger bag!! and used to be a monster at karaoke. Except Bad Things Happened and he doesn't tell many people about the music thing anymore.... (He's also very much Not Straight and would be super supportive about that!)

Fai isn't a teacher but I'd kind of love to throw them together anyway?? Fai would try to adopt him so fast I can't even tell you >_>;

BLURB:
• Yugi’s lived in Recolle his whole life, with his grandfather. Due to his grandfather’s game shop, Yugi aspires to be a game creator, which is why he is in college studying German and International Business.
• His dream is to go to Germany to participate in an international Game competition in hopes to have his future game chosen.
• Yugi was bullied a lot of the time in school. Short, shy and kind of awkward, he wasn’t the most popular kid in school. However, he always seemed to be playing some kind of game, which eventually gained him a really close-knit group of friends. Once this happened, he started to do better in school and was able to get closer to his dreams, graduating a year early.
• At some point he met Atem (Adam) and they are (possibly) roommates. It seems that Yugi is the only one who knows what that guy is thinking…
• His sense of style is rather punk/goth, so he has a few piercings in his right ear. The problem is that it doesn’t really match his personality, which is typically pretty cheerful and polite (albeit a little bit awkward still).
• As for AU explanation of his hair and eyes, his hair is actually jet-black and curly, with a few blond highlights he does himself. His eyes are a deep blue, instead of amethyst.

BLURB:

• TL;DR: Wealthy Heiress Creates Secret Identity To Get Time Away From Overbearing Father
• Said overbearing father is probably Ganondorf (because I love suffering). That's not set in stone yet, but I've been talking to a couple people about apping him!
• At any rate her father is a Very Important Man, so Zelda's filthy rich. She's likely not as famous as her dad, but she's still pretty well-known, especially among high society types. She's wanting to separate her "brand" from her dad's a bit now that she's an adult.
• Education level: probably college freshman or sophomore?? I'm pretty sure she graduated from an expensive private school rather than Recollé HS, though. In college she'll most likely be taking honors classes, and she gets really good grades. Was probably on Student Council in HS (maybe president? am I allowed to say she was president? it's a different school, so...)
• Sports: MANY. Officially, she does cross-country and lacrosse through school, and archery and ballet outside school. Also she secretly does parkour.
• Music: She doesn't play harp, but she was in orchestra in HS and plays violin and flute.
• Occupation: Possibly does modeling and/or advertising part time? Especially in relation to her dad's company/political ambitions/whatever
• seriously i have no idea how she juggles all this shit without the ocarina of time. she is just one of those crazy people who thrives on being constantly busy i guess
• Secret identity: Zelda regularly sneaks out in the middle of the night and does parkour while disguised as a dude. Dunno if she has a name for this alter ego yet but tl;dr it's Sheik, we are all completely blown away by this stunning revelation
• Since she can't magically change the length of her hair yet, she just has short hair all the time instead.
• might unironically enjoy pro wrestling, it is a mystery

LOOKING FOR:

• Zelda characters obviously! I like the idea of having Link as a Long-Lost Childhood Friend, for instance
• Fellow rich kids / private school buds!
• Late night parkour buddies!
• College friends! She is going to Recollé U in the fall, whichever year she is, and she's going to do sports for sure
• An agent maybe! Or paparazzi! No escape!

Lutha isn't as much the socialite type but his PARENTS DEFINITELY ARE and shove him into all sorts of connections, and he'd be coming in as a Music major completely on scholarship, if you wanted to play around with something like that. He's not as attached to his family's stature as a whole but he knows how to act and play the game properly, so maybe they could have a little bit of a bond over that kind of desire to separate from the whole?

Also he's a brat please feel free to punch him gracefully when the parents aren't looking.

BLURB: i can't believe that it always comes back to this but
☼ A GOOD BOY who was born and raised in Recolle?! actually a pretty normal childhood, he made the local news once for saving an injured dog out of a river when he was like 7 and other courageous acts followed
☼ clearly this is the good influence of TV because you will not find anyone who loves superheroes more than Chiaki?????
☼ had aspirations to be the Red Ranger since he could figure out how to make his arms pose
☼ has always been a big dreamer to the point of not listening to any common sense
☼ naturally athletic, tried his hand at all sorts of sports! basketball, baseball, volleyball, swimming, track, triathlons YOU NAME IT he wasn't part of any specific team while he was in high school because he was constantly being asked to sub in for different teams
☼ graduated recolle high 2 years ago! barely. his teachers are still amazed. me too.
☼ all throughout high school he was taking on small acting jobs - JUST TO BE ON THE SAME SET AS SUPERHEROES - and worked as a stuntman!

☼ those were the best 2 years of his life
☼ but an incident struck someone close to chiaki - one of his coworkers? - and rattled him enough that he hung up his acting career for a bit (details still being mulled over)

His family moved from France two years ago, transfering over during his sophomore year of college, so he's been around for a bit. However, despite being a well-off college student, he sticks to the seedier parts of town, and likes to fall in with bad crowds and take part in dangerous shit. Like, underground cage fighting. He's definitely a part of that, and damn good at it too! He's liable to pick fights with people if he feels they've wronged him in some way, as well. However, secretly he does a very "unmanly" thing and practices gymnastics as well, and has since he was young since he first had interest in it as a child. But as he's aged, he's kept that bit separate from his TOUGH MAN image people know him for.

So, besides being a full time student, he's a part-time cage fighter (secret gymnist), part-time bar hopper, and has a sweet motorcycle, and dresses like a goddamn tool trying way too hard to seem like a badass (leather studded jackets, ripped jeans, fingerless gloves, etc). In reality, he's a rich boy that tries to present as anything but, while still reaping the benefits of it regardless and without much thought about it. He's kind of a huge asshole like that.

He also doesn't give much of a shit about current technology, and is kind of a hipster in the fact he has a flip phone in this day and age, and prefers all the old school stuff like CDs, cassettes, etc. He's a stubborn mule stuck in his ways, and is too insufferable for basically anyone to convince to change. You'd have a better chance convincing a rock to stop being hard, than Estée to stop being how he is.

As for his schooling, he's barely getting by in his classes—not because he lacks the intelligence, but because he lacks the interest. He's taken up this line of schooling for his adoptive-father's approval, and that's about it. His lack of passion is very apparent, and you're lucky if he's not late more than twice a week. Even luckier if he's paying attention in class at all.

Oh yes, and if it wasn't obvious already, he's bilingual, and actually speaks pretty fluent English, but he still has a pretty obvious accent.

LOOKING FOR: ANYTHING, which isn't helpful. Estée isn't a very social dude, and he's more of a negative CR generator than not. So, fellow college students, enemies, acquaintances, etc. If you have an idea on how they might fit together I am all for it, but chances are he won't have many friends, if any.

- A helpful and supportive and friendly, there's a reason Kasen's the person students are told they can take their baggage to. However, she's a bit pushy, and tends to heavily focus on and criticize other people's flaws. (This is more likely to happen in more casual settings outside of her work.)

- Tries to think of herself as an ideal voice of reason, though she definitely has her own issues as well.
- Lack of self-control when it comes to eating and the occasional drunken night;
- Can hold a hell of a grudge. Especially against herself.
- Tends to make assumptions in the back of her head.
- Feels like if someone has an issue or problem, its her responsibility to help out.

- Can be kind of stubborn in her views.

- Her past and her missing arm is a sore spot, and she still has a whole lot of regrets to deal with.

- Has the typical straight man's response to other people's shenanigans and insanity. Unfortunately, she causes a little of her own at times.

- Expect a whole lot of spiritual teas, mediation, and breathing exercises from her, especially in how to deal with stress and anxiety.

- Suffers from depression, and has a bit of a guilt complex, blaming her injury and her own foolishness for both the loss of her sister and the pain she caused her mother during her delinquent phase. Part of the reason she obsesses over everyone else (or goes binge drinking or eating) is to distract herself from the feelings of emptiness and self-loathing on the inside.

- Tends not to trust government officials when in regards to children and minors; there are still scars from the whole child services debacle she went through as a child.

- Grew up in a poor family in San Francisco, though they managed to make due. However, everything fell apart in a single year: her father walked out on her and her mother, shortly afterwards it was found that her mother was pregnant again. Kath lost her arm in a car accident, and between medical bills, rehab, and everything else, Kath's mother thought it would be best to place her newborn in adoptive care to give her a fighting chance. However, this also resulted in Kath getting placed into the same orphanage as her sister until her mother could get it back together. When Kaath was returned, they lost track of her sister altogether. Katherine has never stopped blaming herself for it, and developed depression over time.

- Trying to find an escape, she get mixed up in the wrong crowd and became a delinquent overnight, using their escapades as a means - She's got a few ticks on her record, mainly for theft, underaged possession of certain substances, and a few other things. It takes a car crash in her high school years (this time less nasty) to give her an epiphany and pull things back together.

- After salvaging her high school grades and getting into college (a lot of odd jobs were worked, trust me.), she managed to pull through with a masters - She still has a lot of regrets and scars, but she's just trying to get by at this point.

- Got a job offer in Recolle University, and took that chance as soon as possible.

- Still keeps in contact with her mother, though their relationship is still sort of strained.

Since he is being homeschooled, he isn't taking college classes full time-- but this does give him some freedom of movement around town that lots of kids his age wouldn't have.

Which is helpful, because he is very nosey... and a very charming kid.

He is from a fairly well off family, and he has side hobbies that run the gamut of the usual standards-- movies and video games with a favoritism toward the mystery genre, especially when it favors the thieves-- to blogging about his minor grade acts of tresspassing exploration that he photographs and blogs about under the name of MONA online.

He also dislikes cats. Unfortunately, he's going to be in for a few surprises...
