AU NAME: Currently no change, but looking for possible AU family to hash things out with, so.
AU AGE: 17
AU OCCUPATION: College student / parttimer
BLURB: the quick and dirty version, because I'm going to bed...

- born here in recollé
- rather than losing his parent/guardian(??? AMATSUKI???), Kon never had one in the first place
- if no takers come for adopted/foster family, Kon will have been picked up by a teacher that saw all of his potential and wanted to keep him out of trouble
- regardless, though, grew up smarter than just about everybody in his age bracket, and was enrolled in a program for gifted youths
- he progressed through it, until graduating early from high school, with minimal social difficulties outside of spinning circles around many teachers and classmates (and probably downing a couple servers, as you do)
- rather than just fart off elsewhere, he decided to head off to Recollé University, especially since he was starting to get bored anyways (and that is very dangerous for smart/smart-mouthed teenagers)
- specializes in history and computer science, especially gifted in hacking, programming, and low grade engineering
- he's probably been in uni for about... two, three years? and admittedly probably changed his major/minor at least once during that time, but he's restless and trying to make sure he gets all of the knowledge he wants/needs
- nevermind that he's going to be one of those career school kids that keeps going until they have like five masters

- without a dead parent/guardian/mentor to spur him forward wrt revenge/vigilante justice, Kon didn't instigate nearly as many fights as he did in canon, thus he's... not as much of a yankee delinquent in this one
- without the aforementioned parent/guardian/mentor, Kon never took an interest in cooking, and thus will be very confused when he suddenly regains his fiery passion for food? it's great he probably lives off of takeout and will be horrified by this eventually

• Parents killed in car crash when Li-Na was eight
• Brother was halfway through university and allowed Li-Na to be placed in the care of a distant relative in China while he finished school, on the understanding Li-Na would be able to continue her dance studies
• Relative treated Li-Na like a servant, not a family member, and did not allow her to take dance lessons, instead using the money for gambling and drinking
• Worst two years of Li-Na's life
• Relatives chopped off her hair against her wishes and did nothing when the children at Li-Na's school bullied her
• Li-Na stopped talking after six months
• Though she was unable to take dance lessons, she found ways to dance on her own, and this period solidified her love for dance
• When Brother finally finished his degree and went to collect his sister, he was horrified at the change in her
• The next year is one of painful reconnection for both siblings, Li-Na fighting with her anger toward her brother and her brother trying to atone for, in his mind, leaving her behind
• So he found a place for her at one of the top dance schools in Hong Kong
• Where dancing was once her voice in a difficult time, now dancing helped her find her voice again
• Eventually their relationship mended, though Li-Na still harbors some anger and her brother will probably never let go of his guilt
• As she neared completion of high school, Li-Na started wanting to expand her horizons
• She decides to do her final year in Recolle after hearing about Dance!!! Studio and wants to eventually study dance at Recolle University

• He has been in Recolle since he was ~7, but he remembers how the community treated his dad back in Japan. Still a nice life in Recolle. Not bad.
• He owns a black cat named Morrigan. Morrigan is really loud.
• As a hobbyist, he likes to build stuff mostly. his room is probably plagued with miniature buildings, ships, helicopters, and robots.
• He stopped doing that because he cluttered the hell out of his room. He's learning magic tricks now.
• He's used to people avoiding him before because of his family's rep, so he keeps to himself even in Recolle. It's out of habit, but there's definitely some deep underlying suspicion.
• Doing well in school, planning to enroll into university. Not sure of direction yet.
• He feels like there's something missing in his life, so he really likes the horror and thriller genre. The adrenaline fills in the void.

♘ lila grew up very well-off and continues to live very well-off despite the fact that all of her finances are being looked into much more closely these days, THANKS DAD. she wasn't totally socially isolated as a kid but she was always very busy and kinda snobby so she probably has more college friends than childhood friends.

Revolver Ocelot | Metal Gear Solid

AU NAME: Adamska Romanov
AU AGE: Fifty-Six
AU OCCUPATION: Movie Star
BLURB: For those uninitiated to Metal Gear Solid, Revolver Ocelot is one of the main adversaries of the entire series. He's an ex-Soviet GRU-Spetnaz operative who works for the ever elusive "Patriots" as their spy. Not to give away too much, Ocelot here is an ace gunner who's known for his unique ability to ricochet bullets. His favorite gun happens to be the Single Action Army Revolver and he owns two of those bad boys. During the Afghan War, Ocelot served the Soviets as their main interrogator. Hence the nickname "Shalashaska" which is a Russian slang word for "prison".

He's not a friendly son of a bitch, to say the least. His mother was a famous American war hero who died a "traitor" in Groznyj Grad by defecting from the United States. Ocelot's father was another famous war hero from Russia which explains his Russian lineage.

Now with canon out of the way, let's talk business!

AU IDEAS

I'm thinking of making Revolver Ocelot into a spaghetti western "movie star"! He'll be like old Hollywood royalty. Like all of you grown up watching his works whether you wanted to or not. He's probably popular with among your parents generation or something like that.

Ocelot will be known as "Adamska Romanov" in this alternate reality version of himself. He's originally from Russia much like his canon. As expected, he hails from a military family but eventually cut his ties with them for the sake of stardom.

Much like in canon, Ocelot was heavily influenced and obsessed with spaghetti westerns featuring legendary actors like Lee Van Cleef, Clint Eastwood and George Martin. His love for Westerns became something of an obsession for Ocelot who've begun to become increasingly more curious about America and their cultures.

His childhood obsession followed him all the way to adulthood

He traveled to New York when he was a teenager to live with his extended family.

Ocelot got his big break at stardom after accidentally crashing a movie set by doing his signature "finger guns" pose. He was a handsome young man in his youth, very handsome and quite...charming to some extent.


LOOKING FOR: I'm looking for characters who would like to manage Mister Romanov's career. He needs an experienced manager, a few assistants, trusted liaisons and all the works. In addition, I'm very interested in getting a few relatives for Adamska here. Does anyone want to be his niece or nephew? Knowing Adamska, he probably adopted a daughter or two despite still being a bachelor at age fifty-six.

I'm also hoping to find folks who are fans of his works! He loves to do movie cameos more than Stan Lee!

AU AGE: 18. The books just describe him as a "young mouse" and yet they let him drink October Ale. Seriously.
AU OCCUPATION: University freshman taking a writing course. Has a part-time job at a pet shop.
BLURB:

- Since he is a mouse, he will be humanized into a young man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is on the short side, around 5'5".
- Born to British parents who live in the countryside, and only moved to the city to take up his creative writing degree. His parents partly pay for his apartment rent.
- Growing up, Matthias has always shown a fascination for animals of all sorts, but mice hold a special place in his heart. He keeps two males as pets and calls them Matti and Morty. However, he never considered becoming a veterinarian as his calling. Ask him about mice; he knows so many fun facts about them.
- His family is middle-class; he gets allowance from them every month but he tries to do his part by getting a part-time job.
- He enjoys shounen manga, books and anime, and his dream is to write action/adventure novels.
- Matthias knows judo, but isn't an expert. One might say he's...a couple of steps below that, and he's trying to find time for it as well. He didn't compete in too many competitions.
- Used to write for his high school paper.
- ...writes fanfics under the pseudonym, "I Am That Is". It's an anagram of his name.
- For some reason he doesn't take to nicknames well and would rather be called "Matthias". No "Matt" or "Matti" for him, thanks.

PERSONALITY
- Kindhearted and always willing to help his friends in any way he can.
- However, he can be very hotblooded and has a temper. If you frustrate him enough he'll yell at you. Call him short and he'll explode.
- He's the kind of guy who will occasionally post about politics and how THIS IS WRONG, LEADERS AREN'T SUPPOSED TO ACT LIKE THIS, ETC.
- Very hardworking at anything he does, and determined to finish anything he starts.
- Speaks his mind, and can be a little annoying or pushy or Angry about it depending on what he's saying.
- Friendly, but not very outgoing. He will approach people by himself and throw himself out there to make friends but he's not much of a social butterfly. He'd rather have pizza with four or five friends at his apartment and play video games with them than go to a full-blown party.
- Has an impulsive streak. Likely to take on a mugger by himself before realizing he can just call the police.

LOOKING FOR: Anything and everything! College buddies, maybe a roommate or two (I'm game for apartment-sharing), classmates, judo buddies, fellow animal aficionados, maybe even co-workers and neighbors. People are free to tease him for his love for mice, get ticked off at him, etc. My gosh guys, friend the mouse-man. Oh, and childhood friends from the country who also moved into the city OR DIDN'T, yeah.

He's just kind of your average, everyday millennial garbage person with a quick wit. Likely got into a lot of fights as a teenager, may have learned something ridiculous like shillelagh fighting to get a leg up and stand out because he's kinda insecure about not being unique.

Mat's the eldest son of a (potentially) large family, probably has a reputation as a possible troublemaker with the cops, and definitely is happy to make your life more difficult for a laugh.

❀ The second child in a very large family who got used to acting like the oldest anyway. It’s very likely her fam contributes to the very high orphan population in Recolle.
❀ She’s very responsible and a classic overachiever. It’s likely that I’ll give her a history in music—probably she’s quite talented or at least has worked hard enough that she has a lot of skill or she is just mind-numbingly awful. It’s one of two extremes lmao. She has synesthesia and it’s really intrusive, but she doesn’t talk about it a lot. It’s sound related, but I’m not sure which specific type just yet. If it’s chromosthesia, the loss of blue and green is probably ruining her life.
❀ Given her canon origins in a fantasy (no matter how much it looks like an upside-down map of Europe), I’m thinking about making her a Recolle native. That means like, 20 years of potential CR! She probably had an opportunity to go out of town for college and may or may not have taken it (chances are she wanted to stay close to home).
❀ She’s involved with a lot of service projects but ends up leaving a lot of them because she doesn’t always give the friendliest first impression. The fact that the world is kind of garbage most of the time has definitely caught up with her and she’s jaded or w/e. There are certainly people she’d take a bullet for, but you wouldn’t know that right away despite her really obvious attachment to doing good in the world.
❀ Because she is a real adult in this universe and there’s no magic BS currently going on with her body, her growth isn’t stunted and she looks…her age, more like the adult form she had for .5 seconds in one of the spin-off manga (essentially, taller with longer hair).

- Adopted child of relatively well-off Greek immigrant, but currently they are rather...estranged from their father and have been for two years. In related news, is somewhat desperately looking for a summer job: they're not yet at the point of their career where they can teach summer classes + a part time research assistant position is definitely not enough to pay the bills.
- Also has a moderately popular Youtube channel that they originally started out of exasperation at their students and used as a teaching tool. It was meant to be basically a sarcastic historian's guide to wtf they missed in lecture/discussion section, and then it caught on and they expanded it.

Despite his foster parents being strict and running their house like a tiny military squadron, they provided rigid structure and discipline. Arguably something that a group of rambunctious, wayward boys could benefit from.
- At the insistence of his foster parents, he joined ROTC in high school
- Upon graduation, he joined the military as infantry. There he met and fell hard for his commanding officer, Sarah. It was a whirlwind romance, but Axton was young and head over heels for her, so he proposed. Stupidly, she said yes, and things sort of went downhill from there.
- Despite his upbringing, or maybe because of it, Axton had an overwhelming desire for glory and recognition which, unfortunately, clashes with militaristic ideas. He was amazingly skilled but terrible at his job.
- Axton lasted just shy of 5 years in the military, but after a number of increasingly significant incidences, he was politely asked to 'retire' before he caused any real trouble and was honorably discharged. Sarah was the one to deliver the news; she also told him she'd filed for a divorce and gave him back the wedding ring he'd bought her. An all around great day.
- After being discharged, he sold his expertise as a mercenary, traveling far and wide as a gun for hire
- Although the money was good, very good, mercenary work didn't usually result in cheering crowds and gratitude. He was too soft to be cut out for merc work anyway. Now Axton's found his way to Recolle hoping to find security work and a quieter existence

-A haughty woman attracted to power with a questionable taste in men who does nothing to dispel the rumors about where her income comes from.
-Probably came to Recollé from elsewhere, but has been here for like 20ish years and isn't leaving, deal with it.
-Not afraid to get her hands dirty when necessary, whether it means squishing bugs or defending her spawnling with her bare hands. Almedha's surprisingly brave sometimes, and can show up in unexpected places doing unexpected things. She's not as numbed and jaded as she is in canon, since she hasn't been metaphorically neutered and powerless for decades, but she's still very possessive. Like a dragon.
-Super protective of her kid. She doesn't have any other family in the city, had a falling out with her father, and rarely speaks to her brothers. Despite living here for years, she still feels like a stranger—and clings to her child as one of the few familiar things in her life.
-Did I mention the helicopter mom thing?

LOOKING FOR: Do you play a younger character? Are they in need of an overbearing dragon mom?

No, literally, her other form's a dragon. Or was. If I go through with this I'll be saving up for that, though. And Almedha is that kind of super invested parent who has to poke her nose into everything her kid's getting up to, mundane things or blood pacts. Come here child, let her fuss at you, don't talk to the peasants, etc etc. For this AU it doesn't matter what age or gender they are, Almedha just needs a duckling to get broody over, okay.

She can be very manipulative and intrusive into her kid's life, though; I plan on toning this down, but it's not going to be for everyone and that's cool!

Adult friends are also very welcome! People she can drink tea with and complain about Kids These Days, or be snarky midlife crisis friends with, etc. Almedha's probably appeared in the Recolle social scene occasionally.
