BLURB:

♞ Lazy is something Ritsu is here and in canon, while he can be helpful but it’s like pulling teeth just to get him to wake up and do it.

♞With a horrible sleep schedule because he does horror game and movie reviews, he’s constantly staying up all night then posting a video and sleep through the day. Though since he is a “vampire” it doesn’t matter, he even quotes he has an eye for realism in the movies and games with vampires. It’s hard to tell if he’s telling the truth or not.

♞In college he makes good enough grades but they could be a lot better if he wasn’t sleeping through class or falling asleep in random locations on the campus and missing his classes. It’s a problem he had even in high school and it caused him to repeat a year there.

♞From a fairly wealthy family he spent most of his life not seeing his parents. His only other family is a brother that he chooses to not speak about and if he is compared to him he might lash out. When he does refer to him he calls him by any other name than brother or his real name.

♞Spoiled by his friends, and even strangers that get dragged in, he has a knack for getting people to do what he wants and even praise him. In most senses he wants someone to pat his head and compliment him. Although it’s best not to do so when he’s sleeping since he will threaten to bite.

♞When he isn’t watching movies or playing games, Ritsu enjoys quiet activities like drinking tea or napping. He is even a good cook though his food looks like something out of a horror film.

♞He hasn’t decided on what degree he wants yet and it’s a wonder how he is passing classes at times even.

LOOKING FOR: Other College students and more. Ritsu posts a few videos so he might be around some doing Vlogs. He also has a skill for sleeping in strange locations and missing classes.

BLURB:
- Chloe is not a Recolle native. She moved here for higher education from her home town.

- Opposite of her life in Arcadia Bay-- While Chloe was expelled from high school for rebellious behavior, she's since gotten her GED and is seeking better opportunities and a better life. The purpose of this is to eventually catch up with her lost love, Rachel Amber, who disappeared a few years prior to seek a modelling career in Recolle. Chloe hasn't heard from her since, and her attachment and love for the girl has her seeking her with absolutely no progress.

- The only similarity between Chloe's AU life and OU life is that she hasn't heard from Max Caulfield in years.

- Chloe's abandonment issues come purely from Max and Rachel disappearing without a word. Her father is still alive. (Still not 100% sure if I want to keep this. I'm kinda winging it here).

- Chloe does have depression and anxiety, which had reached extremes when she made it a point to become successful enough in Recolle to support herself.

- She works as a reputable tattoo artist in a local shop. Chloe does rather well, and her talents have paid for her college education that she's still working on.

- Chloe maintains a high GPA in College.

- Chloe does have a minor drug and alcohol problem, but she's quiet about it. Doesn't stop her from partying, though.

LOOKING FOR: Roommates, flings, tattoo clients, the works! I'm happy to align Chloe's life with anyone else's.
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: I'm mostly nervous about attempting to join because I'm TERRIBLE at creating AU's. If anyone wants to give me ideas or help, that would be super cool too. Mostly, I'm wondering if anyone is interested in playing with her. I figured this might be interesting to play out because once she discovers her true background, it'll be a fun mess to clean up.

Chloe could be a great addition to the game, and I'd be glad to play with her! Kurt's a college student (and former teen tv star) so he could possible meet her if she's attending college. I dunno if I have any suggestions in mind for her AU, though, unfortunately.

So! Ardyn is a law professor at Recolle U, thus if Ignis hangs around the university, he may have seen the man around! Or maybe they're already acquaintances/friends? Just depends on the level of terrible we want to be, I suppose.

They will definitely run into each other eventually, though, especially if he becomes familiar with Rosalind! Since her and Ardyn are pretty good friends.

(Also they can quip back and forth with each other. Ardyn and Ignis repartee....all I ever needed in my life.)

✗ moved to the area a few years ago and started up a veterinary practice in Enprise, specializing in exotics (do you have a sad bunny? is your turtle sick? find an injured pigeon on the sidewalk? this is your guy)
✗ the sort of guy who absolutely works out payment plans and discounts and accepts that sometimes people cannot pay but doesn't turn down clients even if they abuse his forgiving nature (and might be living on a couch in the back of his office after getting evicted from his apartment because he hasn't been able to really take a paycheck in a while, being a vet is not a lucrative field)
✗ Bad At Technology. has a prepaid phone when he remembers/can afford to buy more minutes for it. nah this loser doesn't have a phone who am i kidding. uses the office computer to get on Retrospec (is it still running xp i mean probably)
✗ overly friendly. he loves people he has the best waiting room in the entire city there are snacks please visit him he is so lonely and just wants friends.

LOOKING FOR: Anybody!

If you've got a character who does front desk work and needs a place, Dr. Hayden might have hired one (1) person for that (they get paid even when he doesn't).

Maybe your character has a pet iguana or goldfish or chicken who's been in to see him, or even a cat or dog (he takes those patients too).

Maybe you've seen this slouchy man dressed in all black with his hair in front of his face lurking around the grocery store stocking up on discount tea or posting big flashy signs on the front of his office trying to get clients and struck up a conversation with him a couple times.

BLURB:
HISTORY

• Born in Tokyo to Japanese parents; mother was a lawyer, father was a cop. Always admired his dad's altruism and devotion to being a police officer. Said dad was also a huge comics nerd and Shouta's childhood memories of him largely consist of reading said comics together. Tldr the memories are fond.
• Dad dies on the job while Shouta is midway through middle school; not taking this well, Shouta promptly clams up emotionally and stays like this. His mom notices this and eventually steps away from being a lawyer in an attempt to be more present in Shouta's life. Meanwhile the household begins to fall on financial hard times. After Shouta graduates from middle school, his mom pools their remaining finances to move in with family in America, where there might be more support and opportunities for Shouta.
• Makes his way through high school morosely, but graduates with grades high enough to earn him scholarships for college. Works two or three different part-time jobs at once over the course of his studies, sending most of the funds to his mother; having free time becomes more commodity than necessity, and there's little room for socializing. Or sleeping.
• Discovers he likes math, the reliable rationality numbers can provide. A stint as TA for a calculus professor reveals that helping people with math isn't a terrible time either. Shouta figures he might as well continue doing both of these things, since the only other childhood career dream he ever had was--being a policeman?? But that would mean dealing with years-old feelings first, so let's not do that.
• Graduates. Finds a teaching position at a high school in Recolle, moves into an apartment in Recolle as well, and has been there ever since. Currently teaches several math classes, notably AP calculus.
• Has probably gained notoriety among the student populace as a strict and nigh-unfairly difficult teacher to end up with, but it's generally agreed-upon that by the end of a year in one of his classes you either know how to do calculus or have gotten expelled. Since Mr. Aizawa has allegedly racked up a larger track record of students expelled than any other teacher in the school. ...Which is entirely the student rumor mill talking tbh, the number of actual students expelled on his behest being one or two at most. But numbers sure do multiply through word of mouth....and Mr. Aizawa hasn't tried to debunk it. Might even be encouraging it?? Why are you like this Mr. Aizawa
• His classwork is accordingly intensive, especially for AP students. But he's still a good teacher despite the initial harshness, willing to slow down and help students who are genuinely trying their best to learn. It's not unheard of for him to put aside time to tutor a pupil or two outside of class hours; all you have to do is actually get the courage to ask for math help.

PERSONALITY/ETC

• Still very professional on the job, with an edge of acerbic wit towards students and colleagues alike; can come off kind of prickly and antisocial as a result. Teens beware though, he will still lowkey dad the shit out of you if you start growing on him long enough
• Much more cynical about heroics as an idea, thanks to mixed feelings wrt the circumstances of AU dad's death. Currently kind of salty about hero comics/media in that genre in general by extension, how ironic
• Still tired as hell all the time. Became practically nocturnal during the three-parttimers-and-college stage of his life, and his sleeping habits continue to be terrible even now that he has a job with sane hours. Takes a lot of power naps at his desk during class--some on purpose, some accidental. Has lately taken up long city-round jogs at ungodly hours of the night to kill time when he can't sleep, in the hopes of wearing himself out or at least getting some decent exercise out of it.
• Since hobo mummy aesthetic actually isn't an acceptable teaching dress code in this AU, will be found in Decent Teacher Wear most days (though it's not impossible to catch him in sweats when he's home). Wears his hair up more often in this AU too probably.
• Absolutely has his own cat; probably picked it up as a stray shortly after moving to Recolle. Looks like it's already been in at least a dozen fights, complete with notched ear and eye scar. It does what it wants. It doesn't have a name, because he's still awful at names (somebody please give this cat a name before he settles on "You", that's all he's been calling it for the past year). Rare Aizawa sightings out of school and around town often involve him carrying cat food or misc toys alongside groceries.
• His eyes are not actually dry in this AU, what a blessing!! This would change as soon as physical/quirk regains hit though, rip

LOOKING FOR:
- Students! Could be in one of his classes, or maybe his reputation just precedes him around the school, how does your kid react to passing him in the hallway...
- Fellow teachers/coworkers
- Other misc adult associates his age! Friends are a bit of a stretch for a guy like Aizawa but acquaintances aren't impossible. Maybe he knew you in college, maybe there was a bonding moment over cat treats in the pet store aisle, maybe you also jog at night?? etc...

BLURB: OKAY! Work in progress but here's what I have so far...

• Since there was a Noctis here previously, the only decent thing I can think of to make up for the memory loss is that he's been ill in the time he hasn't been around. Noctis has had health issues since childhood (he was sick multiple times as a child in canon), so his poor health strikes again! Noctis fell into a coma and has amnesia (insert cheesy Novella music here). I'm not sure what kind of illness yet, but that's my story unless anyone has a suggestion. I realize mine is pretty corny.

• Noctis is the son of a very wealthy, very successful businessman. We'll say "Caelum Industries" for now. The company resides in a different country. But Noctis moved to Recolle with the intention of getting a good education and supporting himself.

• He is still a spoiled rich-kid who's been accepting financial help from his father.

That's... All I have so far. If anyone would like to align their AU stories with mine, please let me know!

• yusuke's aunt is a line cook at a seafood restaurant and works crazy hours so isn't home a lot, and his dad works from home editing translations of BL games (???).
  
• i can't decide whether i want him to stick with painting or have him start somewhere else like photography (or both)?? but either way, he is still Into The Arts and Good At It
  
• keeps up a blog thing on the side that he mainly uses to post his art/photos and occasionally crab videos
  
• his favorite art subject is crabs and shit like octopus, but sometimes inspiration will strike when he sees a cat (recruit him into the cat cafe i guess)

AU OCCUPATION: University student with an undeclared major... while aiming to be a pro rugby(*) player *still undecided...
BLURB:

★ Actually born in Alaska in a remote area, but was sent to the city when she was little because she wanted training and was adamant she'd be a pro player of ... a sport i'm not 100% set on yet
★ Despite being happy in Recolle, she does keep going to the ocean area to feel like she's "home"
★ She partly wants to be a pro for the fame, but partly because she wants to give other people something/someone to believe in and give them encouragement
★ Probably spends half her time in the fitness center
★ Living with a family friend (? maybe) in Veia Village who has a few kids and keeps trying to stop her from doing whatever she wants, but we all know how that goes. She'll probably keep trying to find somewhere else to live tbh.
★ She's starting university on a scholarship but outside of wanting the training she has no idea what to study so keeps taking classes in different subjects. She doesn't have the patience to sit through a full class half the time smh.
★ Has a Samoyed dog that she brought to the city with her when she was younger. It's surprisingly spry for an old dog though??? It also really likes food.
★ She doesn't really have any need for money as the family she's with pays for her food etc so isn't convinced on actually doing part time work even though she has the time.
★ Really cannot drive so rides a bicycle most places or uses public transport. Everytime she tries taking driving lessons things break. Despite that, she really loves the look of cars and finds them pretty awesome. Same goes to motorbikes.
★ Also not great with technology... she's probably broken her phone a few times by throwing it, too.
★ With that in mind has a horrible habit of losing her patience and lashing out instead of handling situations well.
★ Later down the line i might look into the underground fight scene for her too maybe???
★ That's all I have for now...!

I suspect, though, they're more likely to meet soon as opposed to before, and might have some mutual interests.

➡ has good taste in clothes (read: mostly black stuff but hey that's the most fashionable color ok)
➡ lowkey longs to have some kind of sibling figure in his life.
➡ relationship with his mother becomes more strained over the years. he moves out after entering college and barely speaks to her now.
➡ token smart kid. has a hard time making friends, but he’s alright with it. tends to attract weirdos for some reason.
➡ right now he double majors in business and biochemistry, and supports himself with part time modeling on the side.
➡ has a reputation as a terrifyingly strict but effective tutor.
➡ still extremely grumpy in the mornings. coffee is his blood.
➡ his main hobbies are reading and gardening. the best green thumb around probably.
➡ not great with kids.

- Very unenthusiastic about life. He's at the point where he doesn't think good things can happen.

- Likes videogames in his free time but can't afford newer stuff--still playing Gamecube.
- Has one real friend in Ayano Tateyama, but no one else has managed to get through.

→ he is also very very flirty. to the point of being obnoxious. what do mean people don't like water puns?
→ living in dorms at the school but working part-time to save up for college/send money home
→ currently working at a cafe of some kind because his incredible charm gets him great tips c: also probably a waiter??? when he can???
→ wants to be a pilot!!! but currently just needs to get to college first.
→ loves the water/swimming/the beach/pools and will drag just about anyone to go out with him
→ is very good at distracting himself despite how much he misses his siblings and parents :c
→ he....isn't sure how he feels about college? mostly because it was very much 'you are going here and doing this' and he's not sure he likes that. he feels restless and like he wants to go explore, but he also has to help his family.

BLURB:Bear with me, the below will be threadbare, but I wanted to get my ideas out there before I go out and do anything else.

⇒ Born to a blue-collar, working class family here in Recolle.
⇒ Has always possessed boldness and a definitive independent streak. However, her family's lack of money and her yearning to fly led her to join the military straight out of gaining an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at Recolle University
⇒ After seven or more years of training and working as an Air Force fighter pilot, both domestically and overseas, she's been granted a three year hiatus to pursue a master's degree in aeronautical engineering.
⇒ Became a pilot was more out of ambition and determination than natural intellect.
⇒ Retains the same badass personality and demeanor of Aranea that we all know and love. But, I believe if any character knew her before she went to war, there would have definite change in her personality to something far more pessimistic and less carefree than there was before.
⇒ It was largely these experiences that led her to take a break from the military.
⇒ Currently struggles to maintain her previous ideals about justice, far more cynical than before.
⇒ Still LOVES teasing and messing around with people, this will never change.
⇒ Has also been using this reprieve from military life to have some good, old fashioned civilian fun.
⇒ Also works as a teacher's assistant for an introductory Physics course.

LOOKING FOR:

Also, I'm open to reconciling past AU CR if there's stuff you really want to keep... this AU background is obviously different though, but the canon personality is fundamentally the same.
