AU WORKSHOP - JUNE Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. CHARACTER: Kon Shinonome
CANON: Amatsuki
AU NAME: Currently no change, but looking for possible AU family to hash things out with, so.
AU AGE: 17
AU OCCUPATION: College student / parttimer
BLURB: the quick and dirty version, because I'm going to bed...
- born here in recollé
- rather than losing his parent/guardian(??? AMATSUKI???), Kon never had one in the first place
- if no takers come for adopted/foster family, Kon will have been picked up by a teacher that saw all of his potential and wanted to keep him out of trouble
- regardless, though, grew up smarter than just about everybody in his age bracket, and was enrolled in a program for gifted youths
- he progressed through it, until graduating early from high school, with minimal social difficulties outside of spinning circles around many teachers and classmates (and probably downing a couple servers, as you do)
- rather than just fart off elsewhere, he decided to head off to Recollé University, especially since he was starting to get bored anyways (and that is very dangerous for smart/smart-mouthed teenagers)
- specializes in history and computer science, especially gifted in hacking, programming, and low grade engineering
- he's probably been in uni for about... two, three years? and admittedly probably changed his major/minor at least once during that time, but he's restless and trying to make sure he gets all of the knowledge he wants/needs
- nevermind that he's going to be one of those career school kids that keeps going until they have like five masters
- without a dead parent/guardian/mentor to spur him forward wrt revenge/vigilante justice, Kon didn't instigate nearly as many fights as he did in canon, thus he's... not as much of a yankee delinquent in this one
- without the aforementioned parent/guardian/mentor, Kon never took an interest in cooking, and thus will be very confused when he suddenly regains his fiery passion for food? it's great he probably lives off of takeout and will be horrified by this eventually

LOOKING FOR: Other college kids, adults for him to undermine a little (or a lot, depending), other tech/science/history people, coworkers/employees/etc I just don't know what his job is yet, but most of all POSSIBLY A FAMILY THAT ADOPTED HIM OR EXISTS?

if you need an adult to undermine please may I offer my yakuza who is a pencil-pushing real estate agent, I am willing to bend over backwards to get this CR. Kiryu is a boring guy who tries very hard and is really naive and easy to mess with and he graduated college last year (ans also still mostly eats instant food) so they could even have been classmates, let me know which option suits your fancy

Honestly that's a hilarious image to me. I will take CR with the crime dads at every opportunity but unlike with Koushuu Kon would 100% fuck with Kiryu whenever he can. Having been classmates with a 16yo is killing me right now.

that's a rabbit hole even I have fallen down and have had many, many regrets.
Also no reason to say it can't be both?? The classic met online and had later awkward first meetings until one of them opened their mouth and it all went downhill from there.
