AU WORKSHOP - JUNE Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. --Her family is probably involved in some Shady Shit back home, generally of the political side. Obviously there's nothing that connects her to them but the name Mibu may or may not be a thing.
--Hikaru transferred in this current semester, so she's new in town and is pretty aggressively seeking friendship.
--aside from being hugely into academics, particularly history, Hikaru likes math, music (she plays guitar and some more traditional instruments she won't cop to), and theater.
--Holy shit she loves theater.
--She will very easily get carried away and make stupidly overcomplicated solutions to simple problems. Foxes are real dumb, y'all.
Blurb Edit 2: Electric Boogaloo:
-Hikaru comes from an old money family in Japan, the Mibu family. By ‘old money’, we mean ‘can trace back to once being a part of the emperor’s court’ old money.
-The Mibu family is deeply involved in politics, particularly in the information and intelligence communities, as well as having a lot of investment in public works and theater. One of these is a front, no one’s really too sure which one.
-Hikaru is the only daughter of the current family head and thus, has been vastly sheltered and restricted most of her life.
-Chafing at the restrictions, she strikes a deal with her dad and heads on out to Recolle for her undergrad degree--in archaeology, a break from the ‘traditional’ Mibu occupation of acting. This is both a small, private rebellion and also due to deeply intense nerdery.
-Her end of the deal is to gain as much information on the various elements in Recolle, particularly the movers-and-shakers, as she can and bring them back at the end of the semester, as ‘training’ for what the Mibu do.
-Arrives at Recolle knowing very few people, with her parents having bought a house too big for her alone, realizing mistakes May have been Made.

maybe possibly they could know each other for money reasons pre-Recolle? I HAVE NO DOUBT LUTHA WOULD HATE HER INTENSELY but he wouldn't have much say to stop her from meddling in his family's affairs unless she was REALLY stupid about it.

she is exactly the kind of jerk that's probably poked at the line a couple times but not actually gone far enough to, you know, damage family relations. Although tbh she's probably nicer to him in Recolle just on the basis of she, doesn't know too many people in this city to start out with and angry hate person is still oddly comforting.
