AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Shuji's an RU student, but he's in his third year or so, I don't know if they'd share classes... They might see each other a lot at the library, though!

John has been an English Lit prof at the University for nearly a decade now so it's possibly Jamie could have had him? Especially if he were in Derek's class!

offers zero here as a darts/pool buddy?! (except she's short-tempered and aloof and doesn't really do friends much.) (except i want her to make friends oops.) she's not particularly good at either, and frankly she's more likely to end up in a bar fight before she ends up killing time with either game, but she can be competitive and enjoys a challenge. she'd be around to play!

ALSO it looks like Jamie has a deeper appreciation of English/writing than some of his classmates would have, I've always said that John's teaching style was kind of like Keating from Dead Poets Society, which means that people who get it really love it and him and then there are probably those who don't get it and think he's just plain weird. He might have been associated with some clubs through the years, maybe not which is a roundabout way of saying how much do you think Jamie appreciated him as a professor through the years/how well do you think he got to know him while at RU? :)a

Oh... I saw Dead Poets Society myself, it was quite heartbreaking in the end. Well, Jamie might have him as an entrance exam proctor firstly before he found himself in Professor Lyall's class along with Derek and his current sweetheart. Let's just say that they hit it righ out of the park with their interest in Literature and Prof Lyall could give tips in writing for news, mabye he could be the head of the Book Lovers Club in Recolle U during Jamie's time there. As I mentioned above, Jamie just loves to troll around couple shippings, even pairing Derek with his crush on said girl before they could date each other officially. Even though Jamie wasn't heading for a full-on Lit degree, he still can keep in touch with Prof Lyall even to this day.

You can thank Jamie's adopted mom for his love for Literature and Writing as a whole, she's a former English high school teacher.

Yato isn't a schoolguy, I have no idea where he lives right now, doesn't have a computer/game console still, and doesn't love dogs enough to go to some dude's obnoxious dog bday parties BUT

Yato will be there to make fun of people always...!! If the Zhong family owned anything related to the music/entertainment business like event venues, music production companies, even TV stuff, then Yato might've hit them up at some point... but as you know, NPCs can't remember him personally so lmao it might be hard to establish CR based on that.

THOUGH. Yato is not above blackmail to get what he needs for the sake of the Anya Empire, so maybe he could spot Zhong at an arcade, recognize him as big name family, and take advantage immediately... idk lmao

AU OCCUPATION: Gym teacher/student counselor at recolle high.
BLURB:

Ran's lived in Recolle her whole life! When she was a teenager, she started a gang called the recolle wild tigers mostly to give other teenagers friends and something to do...it was mostly anti-social or troubled home types who she wanted to keep out of any true delinquency. But when wind was caught of it being a gang and it started getting pretty big in terms of numbers, another group of actual delinquent teenagers came looking for a fight, and since most of her friends weren't actual delinquents they weren't really prepared to get into a scrap, so.

She kinda just. Fought them all herself. And she actually won, but she came out of it pretty badly beaten up herself. The police showed up and took her in, but enough people came forward to testify that she was just defending herself/her friends, so even if she didn't end up getting into any serious trouble, her parents were infuriated and concerned enough they told her to knock off the whole "gang" thing and actually be a goddamned normal person for once.

If you think this all sounds really naive and dumb, it is. Ran's both very very much.

So fast forward to /now/ and she's a normal person living a normal life. She really, really enjoys physical activities (who knew beating up a bunch of thugs would get you into sports) so in her free time she's mostly into martial arts, rock climbing, hiking...most stuff honestly. Also as said above, she gets paid to throw a dodgeball at you and then insist it builds confidence. She loves her students a lot (especially anyone who's come for counseling after hours) and would die for them. They're like her own kids.

LOOKING FOR:
- Hey if you want a wife who can kick your ass, I'm all for that married life stuff. Same goes for anyone who wants an embarrassing mom who is/was your teacher.
- Catchall family option. Siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews...whatever!
- Friends her own age! Other teachers, other SPORTSBALL types or just people she knows in her off time. Come drinking with her.
- Students...you'll climb that rope if it kills you. But it's fine cause it builds confidence.

AU AGE: I’m not sure on this. Maybe like.. 12-14 or something.
AU OCCUPATION: I think she’d work in either a laundrymat or apprenticing at a tailors. Something she could reasonably do at her age.

BLURB: 'Madison' was born into an unremarkably poor family. Her parents are always working and this often leaves her to her own devices. She goes to school and simultaneously works a part-time job repairing clothes.

She took up sewing out of necessity since her clothes would often find themselves torn up and she wouldn’t have the means to buy anything new. She doesn’t enjoy seamstress work though and doesn't recognize that she has any talent in it. It's just a skill she has that helps her get by.

When she does relax from work or studies, she likes to host small tea parties with any extra money that she has. Her favorite thing to do is to dress up 'fancy' for these tea parties! Though 'fancy' for someone who can't afford cool-looking dresses is subjective.
