AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. BLURB:

☆ Just started her first year of graduate school in September and is working towards getting herself a Master's degree in Education. Her goal is to be able to teach elementary when her degree is complete. She started at NYU and took her undergrad there and moved to Recolle for a change in scenery and to see what else is out there. The current job market in New York for teachers is also too competitive for her.

☆ She comes from a well-off family. Her parents own and work as mechanics and own a shop in New York, so she has some background in all things mechanical since they did a broad range of work. She doesn't have the business mindset and she wants nothing to do with running it. Yoko's always been a bit of a free spirit and wants to do her own thing and forge her own path. It's another reason she left New York.

☆ She lived a very comfortable life growing up just outside of New York City with her mom and dad. Nothing out of the ordinary.

☆ She can be frequently found at local pubs and bars that hold pool or dart tournaments. Some evenings, Yoko spends hours here practicing her throws. She participates in these tournaments for a little extra money on top of her part-time job because the girl's got good aim.

☆ Works part-time as a waitress to make money for school. (Need to figure out what restaurant she'd be working at!)

☆ Yoko likes to keep fit and can also be seen at the gym often doing all kinds of intense workouts. She works to stay fit and she's proud of her body.

☆ She's very studious and school will always come first, which is why she's also at the library a lot with her nose stuck in a book or on her laptop. And no, she is totally not playing video games on her laptop at school???

☆ Other hobbies include occasional video games (she's mostly into first person shooters), learning about astronomy, and pool. She also enjoys sports once in a while, dodgeball being her favourite.

☆ She's never held a real gun in her life, but she can wield an arcade gun no problem.

☆ She needs glasses but wears contacts most of the time instead when she's out and about.

☆ Personality-wise, not much has changed from her canon self. She's still got a bit of a temper when given a reason for it to flare up, but she's usually very level-headed and a logical, rational thinker. She doesn't believe in violence of any kind and will punish anyone who takes anything out on children especially. She tends to be very protective about those she cares for and will probably big sis anyone who manages to wiggle their way in there!

I'm amazed we posted at almost the exact same time, oh my god. Rossiu's also interested in becoming a teacher, so maybe they've run into each other at the university? Alternatively they could know each other from video games because Rossiu's into that too. Orrr we could have them not know each other until later and recognize each other's names after they start getting memories back! I'm cool with anything, I'm just really pleased to see Yoko here!

I saw it and I laughed really freakin hard and I was going to go to bed and reply in the morning but YOU GOT TO IT FIRST!

I'm so excited to see Rossiu, oh my gosh. He's one of my faves from TTGL. I like all of your suggestions and I really wish we could pick all of them at the same time, but I'm cool with having them run into each other on campus or something! Maybe one of them could spot the other playing games while they're there or something and that can spark some conversation?

It might be fun to build some CR up and see where it goes and then slam them with memories down the line!

Elliot is also a transplant from New York! He lived in Queens with his family, but maybe he was familiar with her family's shop or by some other means?

That would be neat! I still need to come up with a name for their family shop but I gotta decide on whether I wanna AU name her or not :P

I'm imagining it was a place that sold or worked on a lot of mechanical things, mostly robots cars!

Is Elliot a student? We could always have them run into each other and meet through school somehow!

Foggy here has been teaching high school for eight years and he also just moved to Recolle from the NYC area. Perhaps their paths crossed previously. She might have even been his student when he was first starting to teach. He'd be happy to talk to her about teaching over a game of pool.

offers zero here as a darts/pool buddy?! (except she's short-tempered and aloof and doesn't really do friends much.) (except i want her to make friends oops.) she's not particularly good at either, and frankly she's more likely to end up in a bar fight before she ends up killing time with either game, but she can be competitive and enjoys a challenge. she'd be around to play!

Yoko would definitely enjoy a challenge, but she's gonna be pretty competitive when it comes down to it! Which is why I am all for this!!!

i have a fellow education major!! nazuna's a little younger than her but he's a senior so he's student teaching kindergarteners right now :3ccc he's also the doting caring big brother type so let him love you

East coast transplants unite! Maybe Yoko and Lillian could be friends in school? There's not a ton of overlap between Polysci and Education but they could be in the same building or something. Or maybe they met at the gym?

Ava is an exercise junkie, so I imagine she goes to the gym to do specific strength training for tennis, and has noticed Yoko from the distance...? Ava can be a little cautious around other women due to her mother so she doesn't really interact with her at the gym, but they coincidentally meet up at the same bars/pubs every so often, have a competitive darts show, and somewhere along the line they decide to secretly team up to tak--I mean convince people to make wagers against them or one of them. Ava is pretty good at playing darts too.

Reed's eighteen and will be the class clown for everybody. He also works as a mechanic, so things that might come up, even if she doesn't do much with it.
