Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU NAME: Ranmaru Rindou
AU AGE: Maybe late 30s, early 40s?
AU OCCUPATION: Gym teacher/student counselor at recolle high.
BLURB:

Ran's lived in Recolle her whole life! When she was a teenager, she started a gang called the recolle wild tigers mostly to give other teenagers friends and something to do...it was mostly anti-social or troubled home types who she wanted to keep out of any true delinquency. But when wind was caught of it being a gang and it started getting pretty big in terms of numbers, another group of actual delinquent teenagers came looking for a fight, and since most of her friends weren't actual delinquents they weren't really prepared to get into a scrap, so.

She kinda just. Fought them all herself. And she actually won, but she came out of it pretty badly beaten up herself. The police showed up and took her in, but enough people came forward to testify that she was just defending herself/her friends, so even if she didn't end up getting into any serious trouble, her parents were infuriated and concerned enough they told her to knock off the whole "gang" thing and actually be a goddamned normal person for once.

If you think this all sounds really naive and dumb, it is. Ran's both very very much.

So fast forward to /now/ and she's a normal person living a normal life. She really, really enjoys physical activities (who knew beating up a bunch of thugs would get you into sports) so in her free time she's mostly into martial arts, rock climbing, hiking...most stuff honestly. Also as said above, she gets paid to throw a dodgeball at you and then insist it builds confidence. She loves her students a lot (especially anyone who's come for counseling after hours) and would die for them. They're like her own kids.

LOOKING FOR:
- Hey if you want a wife who can kick your ass, I'm all for that married life stuff. Same goes for anyone who wants an embarrassing mom who is/was your teacher.
- Catchall family option. Siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews...whatever!
- Friends her own age! Other teachers, other SPORTSBALL types or just people she knows in her off time. Come drinking with her.
- Students...you'll climb that rope if it kills you. But it's fine cause it builds confidence.

Would you like to be on of the older siblings of the Matthews/Nelson clan and older cousin to two awesome people? Derek has 6 siblings. The Matthews is a large, warm, love smothering kind of family and all of the kids ore adopted.

I'd actually prefer her to be biologically related to her parents, but if you don't mind a non-blood family relationship, her parents could've been close friends with his, they could've known each other when he was growing up and she could just treat him like a little brother and call him that anyway...she'd be the type to do it tbh.

Well, how long has Ranmaru been at Recolle high? Derek was in high school from 2007-2011. And what kind of counselor was she? emotional or academic?

Noah is a junior that is pretty obviously to see has moooore than a few issues (is very sullen, gets into fights at school, has a rough past, dad's sick, etc) - so it's probably likely he's been sent to the counselor more than a few times.

I'm down for it. The next time he's sent to see her she's just gonna be like YOUR ARM

Also he has his facial scar back now as of the end of October. So. That'll be special.

i'd love her to be her gym teacher but like. well in this au, sucy's real mother died and her father remarried so is it okay if she can be her mom.... it'd be so cool to have a delinquent as her mom omg

HONESTLY the anime is the best way to experience it...the further on the manga goes, the worse it gets...but Ran is still too pure for this world and deserved a better series. I'm really glad to see someone else who's watched it though!!

But yeah I'm 100% down for this. I kinda skimmed your au info post so how would things be between them on the rocky relationship scale...cause obviously her approach to her will be different depending on that

ACTUALLY I CAN CHANGE THAT UP A BIT and sucy can actually bond with her stepmom, shockingly enough!! she would've been a little wary at first during the first few years of marriage but she'll have warmed up to her later on! since ran would've let her decide stuff on her own pace as opposed to her suffocating family, rip

THERE SURE COULD BE...kids who weren't involved might have grown up with an outsider's perspective and tell their kids she was terrible or smth

prom is not in school anymore but if rumors floated about he could probably have heard some of them? but was always 2 shy to talk to the teacher anyway so,, i mean he's lived in recolle all his life so he's bound to have heard some things

IN ANY CASE.......... with or without rumors, feel free to remember prompto as this kid who started middle school/high school all chubby-like but gradually lost a ton of weight out of an obsessive exercising routine

I feel like there's a chance Matt is at least acquainted with Ranmaru. He's younger than her, 32, so he'd still be a kid during her "gang days" but at the time his father was a cop and might have dealt with her case. Little Matt might have heard the story about the girl who beat up multiple people all at once for her friends and he'd think that was totally cool. Not sure they'd meet at that age but either way they could have met somewhere on the streets of the city at some point.

Sounds good!! I see Mary is still in high school so they could've met at her school through her at some point? And then when Ranmaru mentions her name he's like "oh shit it's you, I remember you"

But if that's too late I'm sure we could just settle on some kind of chance encounter earlier on. I tried thinking of something else but I see he kinda gave up on sports (obviously) and she wouldn't really need to meet with him for work related reasons...she's usually on the right side of the law.

I like the idea of them meeting thanks to her teaching. Just imagine this grown man smiling and saying "Wait. Were you that teenage girl years ago who took on an entire gang of bullies to defend her friends? My father slipped up and told me the story- he was one of the cops on the case. I wanted to be like you when I got older."

Along with Matt's niece being a student at the school I was thinking that Matt sometimes shows up to the high school as the professional expert who helps with the mock trial club, so that might give them a chance to interact, especially if she ever fills in for whatever teacher looks after the club.

FELLOW RECOLLE HIGH TEACHER! This guy started teaching English and Drama there in August. Foggy will take her up on the offer to go grab drinks. Just please don't force him to climb any ropes.

IN ANY CASE she won't, i promise, not unless he was within climbing distance and brought it up. otherwise she's glad to keep it to a normal teacher to teacher relationship, no rope climbing required

You want students? Here's a student. She won't have trouble getting him to climb up a rope though, since he's gonna be kind of an athletic overachiever and hideously competitive. Might have issues with getting him to cooperate with team sports though...

okay but do his best if he wants at everything but she's failing his ass on teamwork if he doesn't learn to play nice with other people
