AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! Tomoyo Daidouji - Cardcaptor Sakura
CHARACTER: tomoyo daidouji
CANON: cardcaptor sakura
AU NAME:..I want to be cheeky and say ‘Madison Taylor’
AU AGE: I’m not sure on this. Maybe like.. 12-14 or something.
AU OCCUPATION: I think she’d work in either a laundrymat or apprenticing at a tailors. Something she could reasonably do at her age.
BLURB: 'Madison' was born into an unremarkably poor family. Her parents are always working and this often leaves her to her own devices. She goes to school and simultaneously works a part-time job repairing clothes.
She took up sewing out of necessity since her clothes would often find themselves torn up and she wouldn’t have the means to buy anything new. She doesn’t enjoy seamstress work though and doesn't recognize that she has any talent in it. It's just a skill she has that helps her get by.
When she does relax from work or studies, she likes to host small tea parties with any extra money that she has. Her favorite thing to do is to dress up 'fancy' for these tea parties! Though 'fancy' for someone who can't afford cool-looking dresses is subjective.

UH UH FOR IDEAS THOUGH-- since Sakura and Syaoran are already 13 here in Recolle and were in the same classes (to a point... Syaoran's now in AP stuff because he's a dumb nerd), Tomoyo/Madison could be one of their classes too?? Capri (Sakura's mun) sort of went with the idea that NPC Tomoyo was in the sewing club and encouraged Sakura to be her model, so you can play with that, if you want!
she can also drag in Syaoran for the ride in case she ever needs a male model hahahaBut if Madison's working at a laundrymat, there's a good chance that Syaoran may have ran into her more than once already, since he's the one who takes care of the chores back home and takes care of that sort of thing hahah |Da He would probably be ?___? over the fact there's a classmate his age there but assumes she does laundry there at the same time (that is, until she goes into the back or something)

Okay. Perhaps she tries to goes to a sewing club to improve skills and learn that when she has the time, so they may know one another in passing? But yeah, I can't see her being modest about needing models and would drag in whomever was walking by like "BE MY MODEL".

Like she could spot him talking with Sakura one day and be like OH GOOD, I NEEDED SOMEONE FOR A MATCHING OUTFIT SET and strong-arms him in there and when he tries to get away she's like BUT YOUR PROPORTIONS AND LOOKS FIT SO WELL WITH SAKURA'S THOUGH..... and he's too embarrassed by the compliment to continue trying
... which would make him seeing her at the laundrymat all the more hilarious, because he'd probably duck behind the nearest machine the moment he sees her face

And he'll put up with all the pin poking and whatever ridiculous designs Tomoyo comes up with just to spend time with Sakura, cries (who'll probably say something like LI-KUN YOU LOOK SO COOL? When she sees him in an outfit and turns him into a red, embarrassed mess)
And when he finally connects Madison to that one girl he keeps seeing in his memories, he's just going to be like ..... do we need to tell her we knew her.......

Or....Madison omg flashbacks to when I first saw CCS with the dub forever ago. Goddamn. But seriously. I could see Sakura wanting to help out if she saw Tomoyo struggling or something and that leading to their being friends. I kinda took inspiration from Tomoyo with her (currently still npc) best friend with the sewing interest at least, for her au.
But yes. I am here for this. Tomoyo needs and deserves all the love!

It might be like what I was talking about up there^ where she just goes in the hallway at school and steals an unsuspecting Sakura from the hallway to model. Because even as an AU Tomoyo has to be a bit weird.

Sakura eventually maybe getting used to being dragged to model or fit whatever Madison had made this time. While the rest of her classmates are all '....??? what? Did Madison just randomly pull Sakura into that other classroom?' Look this is probably just because Madison knows her measurements from her first having ended up offering to model something for her? We love Tomoyo really.
