AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. AU NAME: I'm still working on this part! He's definitely keeping the last name "Zhong" but as for his first name, I'm torn between Lucas, Leon or Liam.
AU AGE: 19
AU OCCUPATION: Student at Recollé University & future heir to his family's technology company
BLURB:

☆ Born and raised in Hong Kong! He comes from a wealthy family who are the head of a large scale technology company that produces laptops and computers. He's fluent in both Cantonese, English and knows a fair amount of Japanese due to his family having buisness partners in Japan.
☆ He's an only child and once he's finally of age, his father intends on naming him the heir of their company.
☆ Originally came to Recollé to study abroad and has been living here for about a year now. His family also sent him here in hopes of starting a new branch for their company.
☆ For his whole life, he's always been an A+, AP honor student and graduated at the top of his class when he lived in Hong Kong. Because of all the success he's had in his life, he's let that gone to his head and has become arrogant because of it.
☆ He's currently studying as a buisness and marketing major.
☆ Has a cute poodle that he constantly dotes on and treats like a princess. Forever his best girl :')
☆ He's secretly into video games (especially mmorpgs and first person shooters) and plays under the game handle theChosenOne. Due to wanting to appear as the perfect honor student, he hides his love for video games but he does secretly visit arcades here and there. He's basically a huge tsundere for games.
☆ I'm undecided on if he'll take on a job while living here, but I'm leaning towards him possibly tutoring people?
☆ Wears reading glasses but lately, he's been needing to wear contacts more often due to his eye sight getting poor.

Yato isn't a schoolguy, I have no idea where he lives right now, doesn't have a computer/game console still, and doesn't love dogs enough to go to some dude's obnoxious dog bday parties BUT

Yato will be there to make fun of people always...!! If the Zhong family owned anything related to the music/entertainment business like event venues, music production companies, even TV stuff, then Yato might've hit them up at some point... but as you know, NPCs can't remember him personally so lmao it might be hard to establish CR based on that.

THOUGH. Yato is not above blackmail to get what he needs for the sake of the Anya Empire, so maybe he could spot Zhong at an arcade, recognize him as big name family, and take advantage immediately... idk lmao

Oooh, I like both ideas! I'm still debating if I want to add anything onto his family's company, but I can totally have them do dealings with music companies and produce TVs? So if you want to combine with two then maybe Yato has dealt with his family but Zhong Hui has never personally met Yato, until arcade shenanigans? If that works! :D

Xiaolang's also from Hong Kong and from a wealthy business family (they specialize more in science research than computers, though), who is also set to take over the family business once he gets old enough?? (or, at least, help his mother and sister out until they retire, anyway) THEY CAN TOTALLY BE COUSINS?? Maybe on his mother's side of the family, too? They're so similar in terms of academic ambitions and personality (because Xiaolang is... also a prickly pear who is embarrassingly easy to fluster) that them being related in some way or another just makes sense, hahaha

ALSO EDITING THIS, but if he isn't already in a dorm, would you be down for him being Xiaolang's guardian?? Maybe Xiaolang's mother heard her sister was sending her son to Recolle and had the idea to send Xiaolang along with him as well? He can cook/clean/run errands/walk the dog like a champ, so as far as 13 year old roommates go, he's... pretty ideal HAHA

Yes, all the yes!!! This is literally like the perfect match, when I read your comment I was non stop gushing irl. IT'S LIKE they were made to be cousins. ♥ Ooh yeah! Maybe since their moms are sisters, their families have always had a tight knit buisness partnership? Their dads could have also been like friends even before they married their moms? ABSOLUTELY YES!!! I would love for him to be Xiaolang's guardian. I've been really unsure on where I want him to live so this works out perfectly! DESPITE HIS PERSONALITY Zhong Hui does care for his family a lot, so he would be happy to take Xiaolang in with him and live with him I was also thinking about giving him a car, so he can totally give Xiaolang a ride to school and anywhere else that he needs to go? HAHAHAHA THAT'S GOOD BC ZHONG HUI CAN'T COOK TO SAVE HIS LIFE, so he's the perfect roommate. AAAAAA I'M SO EXCITED, THOUGH?? Everything about their histories line up so well too, it's amazing ;-;!! And OH NO THAT'S SO CUTE ABOUT THEIR PARENTS?? I kind of headcanon Xiaolang's dad as the kind-hearted, gentle guy (and his mom as more of the overbearing, serious type), so it's possible Zhong Hui's dad introduced him to her while he was dating her sister? (Which probably makes it even more heartbreaking for the family when Xiaolang's dad passes away, cries ) But I can definitely see that? Maybe it was through Zhong Hui's family's business that Xiaolang's is able to provide high-end computers and machines to researchers? Xiaolang is already heavily interested in electronics and programming, so maybe that was something that was influenced by Zhong Hui as well?? Oh gosh, I can see them having huge New Year's get-togethers as well, and Xiaolang either following Zhong Hui around like a puppy or being sort of shy/jealous of him, because he's so smart and cool??? UGH (also might I add that Mio has already claimed the spot of Xiaolang's unofficial big sister here in Recolle, so IF WE NEED SOMEONE TO TEASE THEM SIMULTANEOUSLY.....)

I've been joking about Xiaolang sneaking into the university campuses to borrow books and peek in on lectures, BUT NOW HE ACTUALLY HAS A REASON TO BE THERE?? He probably stops in to drop stuff off for Zhong Hui or wait for him to finish class so they can head home together if he gets out early! But oh gosh, XIAOLANG IS GOING TO GET SO FLUSTERED OVER THAT, WHY ARE YOU TELLING EVERYONE THIS, ZHONG HUI?? He'll also be a bit hesitant about asking for rides because he doesn't want to be a bother?? But I can see him every so often calling Zhong Hui all 'HOW SOON CAN YOU GET OVER TO THE PARK??' 'Why??' 'I WANT TO TAKE SAKURA TO THE SHOPPING CENTER, IT'S AN EMERGENCY' (also on the subject of Sakura, we've mentioned in a few threads that she's been to their house before for science project stuff, so Zhong Hui is 100% cool to give Xiaolang a hard time for his embarrassing crush on her, sobs)

I am also super excited for the poodle, fyi, because poodles are the best and Xiaolang will probably take very good care of Zhong Hui's precious girl (although he will probably draw the line at the birthday parties...... seriously, why...............)

Byakuya's a business major too. Though he's in his junior year, maybe they can still have some kind of rivalry! As for Kurt, he's closer to his age and could also be a video game friend/rival!

I'm thinking that maybe her older brother works for Zhong Hui's family's company? he's an electrical engineer, and a tech company would need a few of those in the house. he would have started working for them seven years ago after finishing university.

wrong journal but hi I'm sarah and I play lelouch lamperouge who I can absolutely volunteer as an academic rival of sorts? he's That particular asshole who sleeps through half his classes, cuts a quarter of them and somehow still ends up with an almost perfect grade point average :'D

he's a psych/pol sci double major but he's also doing a lot of gen ed classes for extra credit so I'm pretty sure they could run into each other somehow.
