AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. office setting...Minako is an event coordinator for the volunteer association in the city, called ReVA. She's usually out and about on site helping with the events, but ReVA does have an office building, so if you're interested, he could be her office assistant?

otherwise she's very friendly in general and would be easy to make friends with in any other setting!!

AS I UNDERSTAND IT, soldiers are given government issue phones meant for communication within the chain of command... connections in the middle east especially can be pretty spotty and soldiers in combat zones are generally not supposed to have cell phones on them for security reasons

there are some posts that have internet and computers for use, but i'm just gonna say sakichi didn't have access to those LMAO

in addition, his particular job involved a lot of time spent isolated in enemy territory, so he might've had periods of time where he just couldn't write back regularly... SORRY YACHI

on the upside, his job in theory would not have involved as much direct enemy contact! he would've tried to emphasize that point... DON'T WORRY, EVERYTHING IS FINE MAYBE

As for CR opportunities...it's kinda tricky because James/Bucky is 17 and still in school, buuuut I'm thinking maybe they meet via some charity thing that Rand is doing? Something related to supporting military families and/or veterans could work, because Bucky's an army brat so he gets involved in those sorts of things sometimes...

(Otherwise, James could punch him at some point. That's always an option too.)

his mom being chiyo's aunt works for me! for reference, chiyo's dad is dead, and her mom is a lawyer.

why are the older boys in chiyo's family like this.... she would do her very, very best to keep in touch! her au brother rin went abroad in his middle school years and was shit about keeping in touch (for his own reasons) despite chiyo's best efforts, so she would've .... tried to compensate for that even more with people who would respond to her! honestly, as a child, more than playing house or anything like that, she probably would've just shown him her budding drawing skills and asked for his honest opinion.

despite that, chiyo isn't super clingy either? if he ever expressed that her trying so hard was at all annoying or a hindrance, she would back off. mostly, chiyo just wants to be a family that's like a family.

rip gladio was a hellion as a child also like his preteen-to-teen years are like......... pre-getting into athletics and he just completely acted out in all respects. hes probably been child arrested like thats how bad he was before he found a less destructive outlet (basically because he noticed his little sister was trying to copy him) so yeah

hes definitely..... way different than when she knew him as a kid but yeah he probably resents her like most students do teachers of classes theyre bad at and then also the familial connections/childhood comparisons make that worse
