AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. AU OCCUPATION: Given his mysophobia I'm opting for something clean and neat. So maybe a librarian or an assistant to someone in an office setting?
BLURB:

- He was kidnapped at a young age in his original town in Japan. His larynx was damaged due to trauma from the incident so he has two vertical scars along his neck to show it. But also the psychological trauma will aid in his muteness.

- After the incident he and his parents moved to Recolle, since a change in scenery would be a good way to help Shigeru with his trauma.

- He'll also developwd ocd and mysophobia from the incident as well.

- He's still a pure sweet cinnamon roll trying to manage his phobia and get over everything that's happened to him! He pushes himself entirely too much but that's how Shigeru is in canon.

- His AU self will basically remain much the same as his original self for the most part. But how he became mute is completely different!

LOOKING FOR:

- adult friends if possible for drinking and other shenanigans
- people to get him out and about (he is a wallflower and pretty anti-social but get a few drinks in him and it's all downhill from there)
- people to teach sign language to because he could really use some friends that know it
- please play video games with him since that is one thing he's really good at
- please let him cook for you too?! He is a good cook and will feed people delicious things

office setting...Minako is an event coordinator for the volunteer association in the city, called ReVA. She's usually out and about on site helping with the events, but ReVA does have an office building, so if you're interested, he could be her office assistant?

otherwise she's very friendly in general and would be easy to make friends with in any other setting!!

Hm well I did have something planned with Ax already. But maybe he could do some part time work for her if that works?!

But either way I'm sure they could meet and get along real well anyways.

If he needs friends to get him out and about and pals to drink with I can offer Zack here! He's really sociable, kinda loud, and talkative so he might end up being a bit of a bully in that sense, but he's a good guy!

And he'll feed him most definitely for his services in trying to help him out.

Sign language!! Kouhei is hard of hearing, which makes these two interesting from the start, but he's a tutor in a number of subjects including sign language! He knows both JSL and ASL, so he could use whichever Shigeru prefers. In addition to that, he also loves to cook, so they can swap recipes or something!

He's also an anti-social sweetheart who's just starting to come out of his shell due to his own trauma, so given their similarities, I think these two would get along beautifully!

They totally gotta meet and talk for sure. I think they'll get along really well.

Oh gosh, I'm so glad! It's one of my favourites, if that wasn't abundantly obvious. He's absolutely pure, it kills me every day.

He's obviously a little different than he is in canon (fluency in sign language being one of the main differences), but he's still largely the same as far as personality goes, so I definitely think they'll get along wonderfully! I'm really looking forward to this!

Same! They'll be pretty good for each other since they both know the hardships of being unable to speak.

I'm looking forward to it so much. Shigeru isn't really used to talking to people that know how to sign so he'll just be super excited. Prepare yourself Kouhei.

Honestly, Kouhei hasn't met anyone who could sign since he came to Recolle, so I'm sure he'll form a connection with Shigeru right away. They can be excited together!

It's Stark. My girl Felicia here love to drag all sorts of people around, and she's kind of a health nut in this setting. It's not the same as being a total neat freak, but there are some overlaps... they probably crossed paths while she was studying in the library.

Otherwise, I'm contemplating apping one Waver Velvet as a chemistry and video game nerd who can't cook for himself and will likely also end up in Kara's employ. So! We have options!
