AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this. • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. SO I WAS THINKING LATELY about some ideas, if we wanted Nat and James to know each other prior to meeting in-game somehow.

1 - She/her parents (depending on if you go teen or adult with her) could be the listed godparents that the Barnes siblings would get sent to should his father die while serving. They'd know each other at least a little in this scenario, even if they don't interact all that much.

2 - I've arbitrarily decided that James doesn't play drums for his band and instead gets someone else to do them, who right now is basically a complete NPC. If Nat seems like the type to play drums and wants to be a part of James's teen angst emo band, anyway.

or 3 - we can just have them meet for the first time in game, that's always a thing too

clover probably both hates and loves that rose and jasmine can't get along. I think she'd drum. She's going to paint, and since she uses batons in her "real life" I'm just thinking she's subconsciously awesome with anything that's remotely a stick. Paintbrush, drumsticks...

And I like the idea of the godparents more than I probably should. Because it does give them a loose history without being fully explored yet. I mean, probably knew each other better as little kids. Grew apart for a bit, now they're coming back together.

no, she won't be like that on the surface. she will (appear to) be accepting because that is what good sisters are supposed to do, and anyone who likes her sister and volunteers is a good person, so clover would be friendly with her, at the very least! clover was likely friendlier and warmer before tiffany and jasmine started dating, though.

no, i'm kidding it won't be that bad, but she'll staunchly ignore him if he tries to bring up her party days. i am 100% down for him knowing her that way and also for them to meet each other again because of rose since clover likes to barge in on rose a lot.

/CRASHES IN HERE EXTRA LATE but sup, hi?!

Kirishima is still going be the nickname of Cutter in the game (born Eijirou Kirishima, switched to Alan Sharpe when he was adopted because he wanted to show that he feels more connected to his adoptive parents than a family he never knew, then Cutter happened because dumb boys will be dumb), and has sort of switched sides in his Recolle AU aka. he's thinking that villains are cool and heroes stupid because his family is knee deep in the organized crime. Because of that he has sort of a history of trying to be badass and a Bad Student and troublemaker and all that jazz, except he's sorta fail at it because he still has his morals and code of manliness and yeah-

TLDR: he recently got into parkours and has been doing capoeira (not to mention dancing classes but those are a secret shhh) for years, maybe they can know or run into each other over that? Or maybe Mina first stood up to him and then for him when he tried being a delinquent with fail success again |D In any case, I'd love to get some CR with them!

Foggy's birth mom was like an evil witch so his dad divorced that monster and remarried a very nice lady and that was how Foggy ended up with step sisters and/or half sisters. Totally stole the evil mother idea from the comics. Allow him to interrupt your painting time to remind you about your homework. Worse comes to worse distract him by talking about Murdock and he'll ramble for at least ten more minutes while you keep painting.

Even more family fun, the Derek/Draco player wants to be the adopted son of Foggy's step mom's sister. THAT'S RIGHT. COUSINS. Possible other cousins and additional sisters to be recruited. Natasha can really have that big loving family!

Natalie Nelson actually has a nice ring to it in my humble opinion.

I completely support stealing from the comics in that regard. He will end up covered in paint if he pushes her too hard. Also, PLEASE come up with some stupidly dorky nickname that he can accidentally call her in class and MORTIFY her with #teendrama. she'll paint him a pretty picture that he can stare at all day long

Oh my gosh, cousin Draco is way too amazing. That would be all kinds of awesome! And seriously good for the hurt/comfort when she realises she doesn't have a family in her other life.

You know, it really does... This is going to be amazing.

Well, mostly I see her doing a lot of abstracts where she looks like she's creating a huge mess but you step back and it's actually pretty cool. If she does do portaits they do look like the person, but they're far from polished oil paintings. They'd still have a messy background. Kind of like what Felix does in Orphan Black if you've seen that.

I was just talking about how Foggy might have gotten his nickname in this AU and someone suggested that it could have been a mispronunciation of "Franky" via a younger sibling when they were a toddler and it stuck. Would you like to give the honors to Natalie?

I just talked with the Natasha Romanoff player and Natasha/Natalie is going to be Foggy's younger sister so just like that Anemone has another cousin! She's going to be a teenager in the game.
