AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this. • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like. OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Are you torn between which character to app? Let us help! AU NAME: Tsuyu Asui or Susan "Sue/Suzi" Asui kinda depends
AU AGE: 16 or 17
AU OCCUPATION: high-school student-> college bound?
BLURB:
i haven't really set anything in stone yet so gomen for such a vague blurb but;
+ no frog-like features just yet. just a normal cute girl with a cat-like stance.
+ thinking about maybe training to be an olympic runner or joining the marines when she's out of high school. that or she's going to college to study frogs at frog university. maybe my own inability to decide can be something that's driving her to decide.
+ regardless of the above outcome she's a smart and athletic student. definitely sits in on at least two clubs.
+ debating whether to make her a student whos family is making the move to Japan or to make her a third generation Japanese-American. either way she comes from a smaller family and has more time to focus on herself as opposed to taking care of siblings
+ she's the same personality wise; laid back and quiet. able to speak what's on her mind. very kind and supportive
+ she can be your gf (good frog) or your bf (bad frog)
+ she has a pet frog named jeremiah
+ that's all i have so far cries

but no ok sits in here oh man.....HOW IS HER MATH YOU THINK the most relevant question here obvs since aizawa can have been either her current or former math teacher! who judges such things...but honestly he'll probably be fond of her as a student anyway because who wouldn't be lbr....if you need math tutoring he'll help you out fam....
and if you do decide to take her the recently-from-Japan route they could also commiserate over that at some point too ig? since aizawa's family made the same hop when he was around the same age she is rn haha, he sure does still remember the weirdness of that transition smh

current student works! i'm sure aizawa could use less troublesome students haha. she's probably like above average in her math!! like not quite top five students but she could really push herself to be up there. if she's aiming for college (leaning more towards that choice) she'd probably ask for help with college tests and entrance exams stuff.
i'm also leaning more and more towards recently-from-Japan route. she'll have all her teachers support!

If you want to, she can be a relative of Kiyoshi's. He has a whole lot of half-siblings, and most likely children he didn't intend to have but whom he would love wholeheartedly if he knew about. On the other hand his dad was a lawyer to the yakuza, at least when Kiyoshi left Japan about 12 years ago, and idk how closely related to crime you'd want her to be... While he has a new identity since coming to America, he does keep in touch with his favorite half-siblings and she could be a niece and live with him? He'll even make sure his cats and dog doesn't eat her frog.

anyway re: part-time jobs. i'd love for john to have a retrospec coworker at union grocery but also if she ends up working at freshens instead (they're kind of... opposing grocery stores lmfa), he'll jokingly think of her a rival. produce wars, they're real. (they're not.)
also friends... i mean john doesn't genuinely make those particularly easily but!! i think it could be fun to try. also if she ends up having moved to recolle from japan, pls let him show her all things grossly american

Mafuyu's currently 16, turning 17 this year) and could be a classmate if you're making a high school junior, but otherwise she appreciates people who speaks their minds a LOT because her personality's sort of the opposite, wild and loud and does what she wants without regard to consequences :") She's also in the boy's football team (in disguise...) and does other sports outside of school clubs, like baseball, soccer, basketball, hockey, etc. if Tsuyu's interested in playing too! Mafuyu is currently learning how to swim, it's a slow process haha

Tsuyu will atleast be a HS senior or junior. probably leaning more towards senior but she's definitely be in some sports clubs! I haven't quite decided which ones but cross-country is a definite one. maybe another one since some sports are seasonal but I also want to throw her in atleast one academic club too!

that said anya is happy to be her friend?? they're more or less the same age since anya just turned 16. she could probably love frogs just bc tsuyu loves frogs. very easy to lead around laughs.
