AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY
Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

do you want them to know each other already? besides both being in university, if lina went to high school in tecolle, soleil would be a super cool popular beautiful athletic preppy student that would never have been ok with the tiny nerd being picked on. she’d probably have been a junior or senior while lina was a freshman since this is soleil’s 3rd year at uni.

CANON: Nier and Nier: Automata.

AU NAME: Emil Snow.
AU AGE: 12-15?? Not sure what's best yet!!
AU OCCUPATION: Student.
BLURB:

- A pure cinnamon roll too good for this world. He tries his best.

- First of all, a totally normal boy and not a skeleton. Yet. But eventually!!

- They told me I could be whatever I wanted when I grew up so I became a truck.

- Entered foster system with his twin sister, but was separated from her after several homes for easier placement. He doesn't know where she is now, but he misses her.

- Has been adopted officially twice, but neither was permanent, clearly.

- Education is spotty after moving around so much, possibly held back a grade. Stuff kinda blurs together.

- I feel like most kids are 13 or 14? Ish? Since his human form is 10, even if he's a premie 15 seems like a stretch. But should he be 14 and held back into class with 13yos or 13 and removed from their class after he knows some of them already... Decisions.

- Aspires to create a business that makes it easier for foster kids to keep the things they need between home transfers and to find help. A type of store, sort of.

He'll have about twenty million sad arcs tbh because Yoko Taro is Suffering and he's been around forever, but he's an optimistic boy that doesn't like to trouble others. In addition to skeleton and truck forms, he'll also have a time where he's still a boy, but his eyes can petrify people and he has to blindfold himself. Look forward to it.
He's the mage of the party, with healing spells included!

LOOKING FOR: Foster family and friends!! Whether he's been with the family a short while already or has just been placed with them, I'm ready to hash it out. People that will support him when he goes back to looking like a skeleton, and people that will freak out and make him feel bad when he looks like a skeleton. In a perfect world, a Halua/twin sis.

I like that idea! Maybe John sees Atsushi looking completely lost trying to figure out how to connect his phone to wifi and is like “you too, huh?” ahaha. And of course Atsushi would love to start babbling about books he’d recommend.

Phos doesn't realize straight-up why that's so annoying since they live a cushy life, but they need that confrontation in order to better themselves. high-key the sort of determination lina pocesses is admirable and phos would be all over that as long as the short temper isn't aggressive enough to push them away.

Awesome! They could meet at the bakery he works at, or on campus, and maybe Theo recognizes him as one of the foster kids after a couple of meetings!

-I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT ATSUSHI MOVED TO RECOLLE AT AGE 18 TO GO TO SCHOOL THERE.
-Atsushi volunteers at the Recolle Office of Child and Family Services and also Recolle orphanage in hopes of getting a job after graduation, and also just to help!
-Lives in Birch Hills apartments.
-Is also fascinated by the stars and planets and can be found at the planetarium on occasion.
-He’s a bit of a glutton and wants to try every restaurant, cafe, and bakery in Recolle sometime!

Things I can offer: Penelope here hurr hurr I was clever with her AU name) is an older YouTuber at 22. She does a lot of collaboration with others, and could have worked with him on videos. Her channel is mostly crafts and costumes and games, with a few elaborate pranks.

Also he'll eventually get to deal with Yukiko and her Persona so that's a thing.

sakichi can keep a straight face on for a lot, but if you can annoy or embarrass him enough his reactions are pretty fun... JUST ASK BAREN!! whenever sakichi delivers a package(s) for futaba he'll do his best to stay at the door in case she's there to answer, especially if it seems like someone's home... he wants to make sure she receives her parcel(s) safely!! even if he's buried under like five boxes or whatever she's doing to tease/harass him

he will try... there's no saving anyone from mizukichin

maybe like, a mentor program or something??? or he could know him through student teaching since usually you have to observe lots of grade levels? I HAVE NO IDEA i just want something

I ALSO LOVE TWO AND WANT HER TO BE HAPPY!! but i think of the sisters the ones i could actually do sort of okay at are, like, Two and Five, and yeah, they also have to die just for the good of everything. eventually playing an intoner in a game like this has got to just become completely untenable.

but yeah I am totally into this! just... Jasmine probably shouldn't look at Anna as someone who's, like, older and wiser, because no, Anna's a disaster. actually I feel like if they start talking about greater purpose, the balance of the friendship might shift if she likes what Jasmine has to say? which could be an interesting kind of dynamic. surely nothing bad has ever happened from listening to One too much.

Okay so internet friends. Penelo(pe) here is 22, and a popular ish YouTube personality. She does a lot of work with crafts and music, along with games and pranks, and one of the things she's started in the last few years is outreach towards locals, especially younger girls that could use an internet vent buddy.

I'm all for exploring that sort of relationship with Maki, if you are.

Kiryu's only a little older than Phos and he's defs got his shit together, if they want to dislike Kiryu like a petty child I am here for it

i'm on the wrong account but chiyo and yachi could be super cute friends. chiyo actually lives near the beach, so they could run in to each other that way or at school

chiyo would also support all of yachi's artsy endeavors

baroona's self-taught so the only way he'd be in dance lessons is if he just tried to pretend he was a student there for fun--which we can totally say happened tbh
