AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. BLURB:

❀ Peyton was born in Recollé & has led a pretty ordinary, privileged life so far; hell, they live in Viea, safely ensconced in Suburbia. Peyton is the youngest of [insert number] siblings, all of whom are probably more successful than they are.

❀ Peyton was signed up for almost every extra-curricular activity imaginable, and they stuck with none of them. Zero. Nada.

❀ Their grades took a dip during high school and were mediocre/average throughout; when the time came for graduation & university admissions, they were completely unprepared, missed all deadlines, and in the end completed their uni enrollment late with the help of their parents. Peyton's major is undeclared.

❀ Although unreliable and a little bit irresponsible, Peyton does crave a sense of belonging & purpose, and strives to do better academically, they’re just nnnnot really sure how to go about it because they don't know what they want in life!! A part of it has to do because they're spoiled, the other because they've never had the chance to do things on their own.

❀ Peyton has difficulties landing onto and keeping jobs, so they still receive a monthly allowance from their parents. Despite their short-comings, Peyton still sends out resumés with the hope that they'll get employed and make enough money to live closer to uni. They really want a job.

❀ Dyeing their hair mint-green gave their parents a heart attack. They did it straight after high school on their own, and it was messy. The sink had green stains for days.

LOOKING FOR:

-sibling(s?). preferably one they mostly get along with. also: they must have their life together. or sort of together. more together than peyton, at least.

-friends! be it old high school pals or college buddies peyton wants to emulate, it'd be fun to have people around someone who's so... extroverted.

-enemies/rivals. peyton can be kind of obnoxious in a way that rubs people the wrong way. pick a trait, any trait: from being kind of a burden at work to being so proud, despite never having accomplished anything! take your pick.

akira was pretty much a loner until recently, so they probably would only know each other in passing if they did at all, but i wouldn't mind them maybe knowing each other through classes in uni??

well, phos does have a thing for loners, so it wouldn't be weird to stick to akira because everyone needs a friend; they're also kind of nosy, so hohoho. is he still undeclared? they could also be undeclared buds. unfortunately, peyton would still be kind of useless, though i'm entertaining the idea that they would be good at...geology...

...they...would... could this be? the job that puts them out of unemployment, and helps them move out of their family home? stay tuned and find out!

Omg, the prospect of being mean to Phos hurts me, but I can see Lina being very short-tempered about the whole 'want a purpose but don't know what' thing as a fellow student who is pushing herself crazy-hard.

Phos doesn't realize straight-up why that's so annoying since they live a cushy life, but they need that confrontation in order to better themselves. high-key the sort of determination lina pocesses is admirable and phos would be all over that as long as the short temper isn't aggressive enough to push them away.

Astolfo/Astin is also going to be a university student and kind of a slacker. They might have known each other in high school or just met in university, but he's the kind of person to haul people out to like, try new restaurants and just wants to enjoy life. He doesn't really try at uni b/c he acts like he doesn't care. Probably springs last minute study sessions on Peyton? Just throwing stuff out there.

if they study together i foresee them doing their best anx failing terribly at keeping Focus. they'd probably end up doing something else entirely or peyton would fall asleep.

HELLO i'm mostly canonblind but i figured there could be some neat cr here because of the whole Canons With Anthropomorphic Objects thing...! kashuu here is a sophomore in college this year, studying as a fashion designer and working part-time as a barista! he's been in game so long that he also remembers he's A Sword™ and spends some of his time organizing self-defense stuff in case reality ever shatters again SO THERE'S THAT. if any of that sounds good to you, i'm here for it!

that sounds amazing & i would love to have cr with you! phos does fight later on in the series, and it's possibly something they might remember that before remembering that they're a giant piece of rock with disparate platinum-gold alloy, agate quartz, lapis lazuli, and synthetic pearl parts; so they'd probably join in on self-defense.

or admire kashuu's work from afar, as long as it's not too extravagant and fits phos's aesthetic? :oa
