OH NO, mista and kanji would be such cute friends in either AU i have for him... he'd definitely be friendly with mista at any of the markets and probably gravitate towards him once he moves. he'd definitely relate with him on having a love-hate relationship with cities. and moms and movies are SO IMPORTANT...

for fashion designer kanji, we can make them more like childhood friends from back before kanji got his internship/got interested in fashion?? kanji would actually be invested in helping mista with his directionlessness since kanji's found his calling.

either way please let me play with mista, i'm still chugging through part five but i love! him!!

kurama... please get in with jade's friends... even if they're all eighteen tops and having weird crises like "WHY ARE MY EYES RED/GREEN/ETC" lmao. honestly, once jade gets her doggy features back, they can just. hang. furry club. no one else gets it.

but that works for me! jade's generally really on top of her school work and working super hard :lb she's really into her school work!!! and since her mother is a professor, she's around the uni pretty often anyway lmao

honestly he's allowed to say a lot, Chuuya has a pretty high tolerance for drunks as long as they're not starting fights... he'd probably just get something like "what, are they not providing drinks, is that all you want me there for"

I'd be lying if I said he wouldn't sneak it in if necessary though because he definitely would

aaaaah Kanji!!! Both versions honestly sound so fun to play off of...would either AU version of Kanji have an interest in knitting? Minako here goes to the university club for it, and would participate in/organize events for knitting in the neighborhood!

omg kurama BEST BLAST TO THE PAST EVER...

but gosh, kashuu here is a tsukumogami of a.. sword...... and he's already well on the path to his own otherkin crisis, so if you wanna do something with that or the whole folklore/mythology thing, i'm super here for it!

on a more mundane au-y note, he's also a fashion & design student at the university and he Loves Flowers too (one of his regained abilities is actually basically "summons flower petals when extremely happy" lord), so we could also work with those if that's something you'd dig!

CHARACTER: Ikuo Ryuuzaki
CANON: Ouroboros

AU NAME: Tatsuo Kihara
AU AGE: 26-30, somewhere in there
AU OCCUPATION: CSI, assistant karate instructor

BLURB:

* Japanese, but born in Recolle. His mom had and affair with a married man and relocated to Recolle after discovering she was pregnant.
* However, Tatsuo ended up in ~~foster care~~ Recolle Orphanage (this is what I get for not reading the whole setting page) at 11 after his mother was killed by a drunk driver.
* Got into scraps as a kid and eventually found his way to a karate teacher. Now he teaches part time at the karate dojo he trained at as a teen.
* After high school Tatsuo attended Recolle University and earned a degree in forensic science, which he uses working for the Recolle Police as a CSI.
* Has the fluffiest hair ever apparently (idk I've never understood why his hair is considered so weird in the manga)
* Disgustingly cheerful and a giant dork. Very laid back and easy going, but will occasionally smile when he doesn't really mean it, kind of a bad habit.
* He doesn't have too many hobbies, as work and teaching at the dojo keep him pretty busy. But he is a sneakerhead.
* He has terrible fashion sense otherwise. Terrible. Someone help him. He tries to dress cool and it's just, no.
* Has canon amnesia issues, so this will be fun.

LOOKING FOR: Looking for people Tatsuo lived with in the foster home, people he trained with at the karate dojo, college buddies, roommates (past and maybe present?), coworkers on the police force, ex or current girlfriend? I just want to make his life as happy as possible before I start breaking this cutie.

ALSO. My first born for a Tacchan. Like, they don't even have to be in the ~~same foster home~~ orphanage. Or even roommates in college, though that would be funny. Hell, I'd be fine if they'd never met in Recolle before at all, because the image of Ikuo chasing after Tatsuya like goldfish poop as he regains his memories and tries to convince Tatsuya that he knows him is extremely appealing.

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Not so much another character, as I can go two ways with Ikuo. I could app him from the manga or the drama. Apping him from the drama would just be so much easier, but there is so much more to work with manga-wise. As in trauma.

jade needs more supportive adults, tbh. she hangs with her father too much (who is a supportive adult, but have you met bigby wolf.....)

but i cleared this with the elizabeth player if you'd like - since she and liz talk science often, jade would likely be familiar with rosalind if she's published, as well, so there would be something to work with there!

...also, jade is one of two teleporters in game, if that would be of interest to ros, now that i think about it! :o

YOU DON'T NEED TO BULLY ME when my arms are open so wide for luke or hiro CR, please ty, i am so famished... if either of them need some Muscle or fashion advice or cute gifts for someone, kanji is your dude.

and ahh that's good advice! it's so hard since it seems like lots of things can trigger regains... i love both of the aus, but there's probably one that makes the regains more interesting or easier to get. i'll think hard! thank you sm!

Oh man, he runs the Inkwell, right? (It's been a long month of waiting and gently stalking the comms) because they should definitely like partner business wise or something or at the very least majima has been to his bar.

I like they idea that they knew each other from those days!! Majima loves to fight so they could've totally gotten into some fights back in the day -- maybe he knows that even going to his bar and that's why he goes? as a like man back in the day we were little shits but now ill support your endeavor to do things the right way

of course that doesn't bar them from awkwardly also running into each other w/karaoke :')

He'd definitely have noticed her for being one of the standout students! He used to be that kind of student himself, actually, so he'd probably have a certain fondness for Jade in that respect anyway.

sora and jade would be the same age and she gets along with everyone, forever, or at least tries to, so i think they'd get along pretty well! jade also is a huge animal lover and volunteers at the shelter, maybe they could know each other through that or have had some kind of wacky adventure as kids involving trying to bring a bunch of ducks to school or something?? lmao, if you're open to them having known each other for a bit, that is!

yes good more criminal friends! Chuuya used to be a mafia executive so he's slowly figuring that whole situation back out, and I would love to have more cr with people who have similar stuff going on o/

AU NAME: second verse same as the first
AU AGE: 22
AU OCCUPATION: paranormal blogger and amateur ghost investigator, but also graveyard shift at one of those 24 hour drugstores.
BLURB:
• born into a family that takes care of a shrine in japan, was being raised and trained to be part of that.
• however over a series of years there was a string of incidents of people having horribly bad luck after seeing him or being blessed by him, and with no common factor but himself he began to see himself as the curse that was afflicting them as the amount added up. when finally a mother and child came to be blessed for the future, he did it but ended up convincing himself he screwed the kid up for life and didn't want to see the results.
• his escape came in moving to recolle to help take care of his disabled aunt - ostensibly to help her and to grow his own independence, but also in large part influenced by how he doesn't feel worthy to work as he does. of course, he's also in his 20s and stupid, so the truth of that doesn't matter.
• anyway he runs a paranormal blog (blog being half legends and half documenting his explorations, contact him if you have something you want him to look into), and he works graveyard shift at some place to make actual money. possibly taking online community college courses as well.
• has heavy sleeping issues and so is often up at ridiculous hours - hence the need for work and school to accommodate.
• social even though he's still kinda weird and honestly ready to get into disastrous ideas because he's ready to say yes to bad suggestions.
• perpetually smiling, all the time, every day.
• internally aware that having no solution to his problems is bad but trying to avoid both that and crushingly low self esteem from seeing himself as bad luck.
• been in recolle anywhere from one to three years.
• and because it bears mentioning, instead of his canon hair and eyes, his hair is black and his eyes are one dark brown, one natural green. his hair covers the green one, but it's equally long.
• so much of this au is still open to being worked on though, i'm keeping my mind open about this.

LOOKING FOR: anything and everything! friends, people who've seen him at work, people to vaguely wonder why this weirdo's going out in the dead of night, internet chatting types, even people who've got some degree of family! i'm open to see how it could work.

Um. So, Togusa's preeeeetty much think of him like pre-canon, but if he never had someone like the Major notice him. Beat cop, been trying to prove himself, five and a half years on the force now. He'd been slated to make Detective, but an incident a year ago where Togusa couldn't fucking leave well enough alone, made him miss his possible promotion.

Japanese Immigrant for school. He went to Recolle University, was doing pre-law by way of a criminal justice major, but changed his mind on law school and went to the Police Academy after graduation instead. Was really involved with the Japanese Student Union.

What can we do, how can I help, who can I throw you at?

I'm sorry I have nothing else of worth to contribute except if Cherche's a homemaker and would be involved in the community, then maybe she's seen Minako around? She works a lot with the city volunteer association.

i could offer jade as a potential fan, and probably super talkative at him on...twitter and social media - she actually has her own youtube channel with dave strider where they blow up things for views (i wish i could explain, they are unexplainable) so maybe he could have an Opinion on that? idk. she plays ukulele though and grew up in a musically inclined family so if you'd like to work out a way for him to be aware she's a musician too i can work with that! THE 1975 JUST PINGED ME HAHA since they're one of the bands jade listens to in game.

True story I have been giggling about the phrase "otherkin crisis" for like the past fourteen hours

But yeah, I'm all about grabbing Kurama some uni friends and if they share an interest in gardening, so much the better! I'm thinking that he's probably going to do like he does in canon and be weird and hanging around school even when he doesn't have to be At School so people could easily see him messing around in a greenhouse somewhere or checking floriography books out of the library or something like that!
