AU WORKSHOP - SEPTEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. i'm not sure who i'll end up apping/tdming but i've got sun jing and ishikawa here as high school students! both would be seniors, so they might have crossed paths with dirk here and there? sun jing herself can be kind of a miscreant and definitely gets into her fair share of antics (if not outright instigating, then definitely fanning the flames); ishikawa just tends to be the sort to get drawn into antics despite his best efforts.

and ishikawa... oh that poor, poor kid. dirk'd be great at convincing him to go along with bad, bad ideas with the slightest reason. and then they both end up in detention, and hmm, yeah, maybe that wasn't the best plan. (but can also be sporty with him! lots of games of catch and soccer and climbing things that probably shouldn't be climbed.)

ACTUALLY I'm really lazy and can't swap journals but aside from John I'm also apping Hiro Hamada from Big Hero 6 who's about a year younger than Dirk but he's also into building things, drawing and would probably think Dirk's Too Cool because of parkour (and also he skateboards.) So technically I have a couple of people to offer you for future shenanigans

Hell yessss the best windsock boy. And oh no that's cute... I can bet Dirk'd think John's aight (but doesn't really know what to make of the dude who his bro's in-dokis with). But I think they will be able to bond over giving Dave a hard time. It's a time-honored tradition.

And Hiro would be an awesome buddy, oh my god. They do share a ton of interests (even if Dirk makes his stuff kinda weird). Mainly I'm just imagining these two thinking it's a fucking delight to go digging around in the scrap yard for free parts. And maybe trying to "fix" things that don't...really need fixing. Xiaolang just started as a freshman this month, so he and Dirk would be schoolmates! And god, there is a lot of overlap here

He's similar to Dirk in that he's introverted, smart, independent and competitive also low-key insecure af so high five inferiority complex buddies, but unlike Dirk, he's....... nowhere near as weird or a sassmaster since he's like a 60 year old dude in a 14 year old body most of the time, sob-- but!! If Dirk enjoys tinkering with things/making stuff out of electronics, maaaaybe they might wind up being in the same engineering club together? If Dirk is part of it, anyway-- that, or they might wind up being in anime club (Xiaolang's more of a closet weeb but HE STILL GOES.... FOR WHATEVER REASON.....) or even go HELLA HARD in sports because he's also athletic and doesn't like to give in, so please indulge him in the stupid competitive streak that he has

and dirk's not much for organized group activity (outside of the animes) but he is the type to kinda hang around and watch what everyone else is doing, and maybe trade parts or tips. eventually he'd come by regularly just to pester his fave frosh bro, honestly.
