Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

HE WAS PROBABLY SUPER GROUNDED...and No One Was Surprised after thinking about it because. of course he would text that much.

STRAW WARS would be intense and stupid and obviously therefore should have happened

see that's the moment where dirk'd be like "holy shit, you're becoming mom. dude." but also yes, fuck yes, feed him. he's still growing like a weed and eternally hungry.

(although look at him exercising some form of manners to help clean up dishes after since john did the cooking. he's a brat who'll raid your dorito stash but he knows how to be a grateful one, ok)

STRAW WARS... becomes the bane of their friends. for a while there their feeds were nothing but straws, and commentary on straws, straw philosophy, origins of straws... Dirk even wrote the 99 Theses on Straws and attached each sticky note thesis to Dave's front door.

the day dirk weed grows taller than dave is the day dave boycotts dirk (for like five minutes before giving up)

dave has kept the straw theses and they are now in a scrapbook what now

and in that five minutes dirk is fistbumping literally everyone in their immediate proximity. the cat. john. the cat again. read his chromosomes and fuckin' weep bro, he's won. he's won everything.

also: scrapbooking the theses?? listen he was joking about you becoming mom, man, no (surefire way to embarrass dirk: treat his dumb gifts preciously. it's the ultimate revenge.).

i capped him out at 5'10" so that day may have come already or may be coming quickly...

DAVE WILL ALWAYS TREASURE THE DUMB GIFTS? this is the child who wore a pair of sunglasses for 3+ years (i.e. the rest of his life) after getting them and who stated he was glad the universe cracked instead of his shades. he treasures things people give him fOREVER

nah he's just gonna whine vaguely at you about unrequited crushes and pretend like he's gonna do something to actually make a move and then chicken out every. time. so great at talking himself into taking action, and then talking himself right back out of it.

the stars weren't aligned. missed the prime opportunity. pretty sure he's not their type. tried an incredibly subtle hint and it went nowhere so clearly that's a dead end.

dirk no sometimes you gotta TAKE THE LEAP...sometimes the boy will kiss you back or ask you out

pretty sure that's your survivorship bias talking, dude. not all of us hit the lotto with a BF and a cat. in fact (and he did the math on this, got the entire proof written right out here), 99.9% of the time it ends in bitter humiliation and regret.
