AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. chiyo will accept sucy no matter how creepy or rude she is, then or now. chiyo is also a senior in high school, so if you do want to go the reuniting route, they could've just drifted into different friend groups over time?

Yes, all the yes!!! This is literally like the perfect match, when I read your comment I was non stop gushing irl. IT'S LIKE they were made to be cousins. ♥ Ooh yeah! Maybe since their moms are sisters, their families have always had a tight knit buisness partnership? Their dads could have also been like friends even before they married their moms? (saghaiog CUTE, OKAY we need someone to tease them both at the same time!!)

ABSOLUTELY YES!!! I would love for him to be Xiaolang's guardian. I've been really unsure on where I want him to live so this works out perfectly! DESPITE HIS PERSONALITY Zhong Hui does care for his family a lot, so he would be happy to take Xiaolang in with him and live with him I was also thinking about giving him a car, so he can totally give Xiaolang a ride to school and anywhere else that he needs to go? HAHAHAHA THAT'S GOOD BC ZHONG HUI CAN'T COOK TO SAVE HIS LIFE, so he's the perfect roommate. I'm also sorry in advance to Xiaolang, because Zhong Hui's totally going to brag about how smart his younger cousin is to everyone. :'D;

Byakuya being his adcademic rival would be great, Zhong Hui's rival in canon is actually older than him so it works out perfectly. IN FACT, since Byakuya's the upperclassman, it will make him even more fired up to challenge him. GIMME ALL THE GORE CR! If Kurt plays online games maybe they could meet that way?

That sounds perfect! His family has a ton of partnerships and dealings all across the globe. He's also all about attending them rich people parties, so they def could have met that way? Ryousuke could probably always catch him in the library, and they can go eat super spicy curry together. He might appreciate Suga's mischievous side - just imagine them teasing others. Or tag team chop people!

Alice is also an early 20's apartment dweller so it might be fun to have them be neighbors! She probably pounded her fist on the wall for a week straight when Ibuki was practicing at all hours, until Ibuki met her dog who is way, way too big to live in an apartment and now there's a sort of understanding that nobody bothers anybody else and they might even be half friendly, or more than half if Ibuki is especially pushy about it?

I just suggested this in a comment above this but I thought it might be fun to have Alice be their long suffering neighbor. She's kind of a tough nut to crack but as long as he avoids setting off the fireworks when she's got her dog home it's probably essentially peaceful. Upset Greta and it's all over.

Hello though! Yeah I'm so down with some network of cousins who knew each other and interacted a lot over the holidays and possibly online too. That sounds fun.

And sort of being able to be close to them again in Recolle and in time for some big Christmas thing seems novel too.

Honestly no she's not the sort who projects the need to be doted on, but she's also a one-armed wonder who is only part timing college due to sort of flip flopping her way through majors. I mean she has a stable job (in a casino run by her best friend) so. YOU MAKE THE CALL. I promise that her memories are going to be a mess though.

I think I might end up taking the Fairweather name actually though thinking about it more. I mean when she remembers her canon dad that's going to get to some cognitive dissonances so sorry about your uncle but hey. That's life.

AAAAAA I'M SO EXCITED, THOUGH?? Everything about their histories line up so well too, it's amazing ;-;!! And OH NO THAT'S SO CUTE ABOUT THEIR PARENTS?? I kind of headcanon Xiaolang's dad as the kind-hearted, gentle guy (and his mom as more of the overbearing, serious type), so it's possible Zhong Hui's dad introduced him to her while he was dating her sister? (Which probably makes it even more heartbreaking for the family when Xiaolang's dad passes away, cries ) But I can definitely see that? Maybe it was through Zhong Hui's family's business that Xiaolang's is able to provide high-end computers and machines to researchers? Xiaolang is already heavily interested in electronics and programming, so maybe that was something that was influenced by Zhong Hui as well?? Oh gosh, I can see them having huge New Year's get-togethers as well, and Xiaolang either following Zhong Hui around like a puppy or being sort of shy/jealous of him, because he's so smart and cool??? UGH (also might I add that Mio has already claimed the spot of Xiaolang's unofficial big sister here in Recolle, so IF WE NEED SOMEONE TO TEASE THEM SIMULTANEOUSLY.....)

BUT AAAAAA YESSSS I AM SO PSYCHED FOR THIS???? I noticed after the fact that you mentioned him living in an apartment near the university, and we can still totally go with this? I've been joking about Xiaolang sneaking into the university campuses to borrow books and peek in on lectures, BUT NOW HE ACTUALLY HAS A REASON TO BE THERE?? He probably stops in to drop stuff off for Zhong Hui or wait for him to finish class so they can head home together if he gets out early! But oh gosh, XIAOLANG IS GOING TO GET SO FLUSTERED OVER THAT, WHY ARE YOU TELLING EVERYONE THIS, ZHONG HUI?? He'll also be a bit hesitant about asking for rides because he doesn't want to be a bother?? But I can see him every so often calling Zhong Hui all 'HOW SOON CAN YOU GET OVER TO THE PARK??' 'Why??' 'I WANT TO TAKE SAKURA TO THE SHOPPING CENTER, IT'S AN EMERGENCY' (also on the subject of Sakura, we've mentioned in a few threads that she's been to their house before for science project stuff, so Zhong Hui is 100% cool to give Xiaolang a hard time for his embarrassing crush on her, sobs)

I am also super excited for the poodle, fyi, because poodles are the best and Xiaolang will probably take very good care of Zhong Hui's precious girl (although he will probably draw the line at the birthday parties...... seriously, why...............)
