AU NAME: Katherine Last-Name-Undecided-Yet (Anderson?)
AU AGE: Probably 20 or 21, though I'm also toying a little bit with the idea of her being a high school senior if folks want to play that way? :|a Basically trying to avoid her having the same main crowd as Dante does
AU OCCUPATION: Student, majoring in law, potentially double-majoring with French? And also likely balancing this with other activities because what is a reasonable workload nothing that she knows, that's for sure

BLURB:
- White upper middle class family, parents are Very conservative, her dad is a somewhat prestigious prosecuting attorney running a law firm in Recollé. Nico di Angelo (parrotwhisperer) is her cousin on her mom's side and they grew up seeing each other over the summer and winter holidays--he's like the little brother she never had c:
- Which means she speaks Italian in addition to English and French
- Grew up in a very regimented household as the perfect daughter; took jazz, ballet, tap, ice skating, showed horses chocobos, after-school French lessons...
- Attended whatever private academy there is in Rec, was a cheerleader and yearbook editor and graduated with top honors (though she was not valedictorian to her eternal shame)
- Interned at her father's law firm in the summers between classes, so she's never had to hold down an actual job
- Basically carries Most of her father's beliefs, will tell you that raising the minimum wage only hastens inflation and doesn't help the economy, global warming is real but it's not as big of an issue as people think it is because the world naturally warms and cools, trickle-down economics totally works... she's been sheltered most of her life and hasn't had to confront her beliefs and make her own decisions about the world yet!
- Honestly she's a very well-meaning girl, she's just a bit misguided. Kath genuinely likes people and wants to befriend them!
- She's got a sharp sarcastic streak though; she'll normally be very kind to everybody around her UNTIL YOU TEST HER PATIENCE at which point all bets are off
- Living Kind Of on her own, after her first year and a half of undergrad she insisted it was time she learn to live on her own. Her parents compromised... by offering her the guest house on their property. Hey, it means she's got her own space AND she doesn't have to worry about blowing up tinfoil in the microwave! ...again...
- Nico is also living with her for the time being while he's in high school! They've got three rottweilers and Kath's own cat so... that's fun |D

LOOKING FOR: Friends! Classmates! People to challenge her worldview! People who might know her father, whether from past cases or because they have a working relationship? Come after me, my friends~

I'm open to immediate family members, but I am fairly settled on her parents/upbringing just because it's going to be a big part of the arc I've got planned for her c:

AU NAME: Tyler Sulez
AU AGE: 25-26
AU OCCUPATION: Graduate Student (Master's in Social Work & JD Candidate; dude's earning a dual degree)
BLURB:
→ A wealthy law school student, Tyler grew up in a physically abusive home. Attending college, and subsequently law school, in Recolle has allowed him the physical space and distance he needs from his parents and/or whoever raised him, since I'm still being purposefully vague on that end.

→ As part of his schoolwork for his MSW, Tyler's been a teaching assistant around town and in various middle or high schools (and he sincerely tries to connect to those kids). He hasn't been there recently, but it's a point of connection for anyone who has characters around that age.

→ Secretly an infamous shitposter online. You know those memes about hungry wolves or those tumblr posts wondering about frat brother werewolves? Or hell, just anything online about supernaturals in college? THAT IS PROBABLY HIS HANDIWORK. Tyler even draws and illustrates some of them himself, partially as a stress relief.

→ On that note, Tyler also draws a lot, and even posts some of it online. He's not as open about his comic book knowledge, but he loves visiting his local LCS and supporting indie and smaller comics. (On that note: he's pretty talkative and eager to show people how comics can appeal to so many different audiences. If you need someone to introduce your character to this, Tyler's your dude.)

→ He can be brash and aggressive, given that he's a werewolf and TVD werewolves have so many aggression issues! That said, Tyler's actually going to therapy for said issues so he tries. He tries really hard, and yet the anger is still strongest around the full moon.

→ He's a pretty social guy. He attends mass every Sunday and is involved with the Catholic student organization at the university (as well as any interfaith movements there); he's part of the law student government; and he tries to keep in touch with any and all friends he's made. Tyler isn't perfect but again, he tries.

LOOKING FOR: Everyone. But since that's cheating - I'd love for him to be related to any Latinx characters in-game! If anyone's looking for a grumpy werewolf lawyer cousin or brother or hell, even son or grandson, Tyler is your dude. I'd also potentially love a fiancee or significant other (gender doesn't matter), as well as roommates! Also, students he's been assisting through his social work OR potential peers in law, should those exist in-game. Also, Tyler is a notorious shitposter online with a decent twitter following, so if anyone wants to be his meme fan or meme rival, there's always that angle.

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: I'm alternatively considering Bonnie Bennett (from the same canon; she's the most powerful witch around) as a 25-26 year old Ph.D candidate for anthropology, who's coming back to Recolle after long years of fieldwork in Kenya or Morocco. If she sounds more along someone's alley, lemme know! These are flexible plans.

AU NAME: Kazuhira Miller
AU AGE: 28
AU OCCUPATION: Accountant
BLURB:

• Kaz was the product of an affair between an idealistic immigrant Japanese girl and the older American soldier she got a crush on when he was overseas (we're talking a massive unacceptable age difference, something like sixteen and mid-forties). Turned out that he was married and the relationship led to a nasty divorce, something that he always held her accountable for when she moved overseas to ask for help with their son (he initially refused her).


• Kazuhira desperately wanted his father in his life and his mother even allowed him to take his father's last name. Said father actually bothered to take an interest in him after his older brother "died".


• To make up for what he did, his father paid for his education at an Ivy League school. But Kaz's mother grew increasingly ill with some degenerative brain disease so he's had to dedicate himself to taking care of her after he graduated.


• His father refused to have anything to do with her up until the point that he committed suicide over having ruined his relationship with his first wife. At this point she barely remembers anyone and almost can't communicate at all.


• Kaz used his school connections to become an accountant so he could afford to take care of her and then some. He actually doesn't talk about her much to people, though.


• On weekends he'll go out on the town and get completely hammered. He's also been known to sleep around when he does, but never sticks around until morning.


• He's fussy over his appearance. He keeps in shape and dresses nicely and is careful to tend to his hair. He's almost never seen without a pair of pricey sunglasses.


• He has a tendency to uselessly crush on some of his clients. The more stern/dedicated they are (and therefore practically impossible to appeal to) the more likely he is to have an eye for them. It's more of a distant pining thing, because if he tries to ask them out on a real date he's likely not very good at it.


• He likes cooking and playing guitar and is great at both. He's a terrible singer that can hurt one's soul.

LOOKING FOR:

• Friends.


• General clients.


• One-Night Stands (23 years old or up).


• People for him to have stupidly checked out of the Big Boss, Integra, Furiosa, or Nick Fury type personalities. Way out of his league probably (I don't expect anything to come of them, they'd just be crushes).


• People to have had past trysts with. A possible older brother to turn out to be ~not dead~ or something (hard mode).
