Oh, Elliot. Sweet, perfect, pure Elliot who has never done a thing wrong in his life (Rean will hear no counterarguments).

He respects Elliot deeply – he genuinely thinks Elliot's a musical genius, he's awed by Elliot's magical talents, and after the whole fire ordeal he's also pretty convinced that Elliot's a stronger person than he is for shouldering all that.

So, really, Rean would say he doesn't understand why Elliot has self-esteem issues, except... well, he can totally relate, so yeah, he understands perfectly.

He also thinks Elliot's a sweet, fun person to talk to, and he's really glad to be able to call Elliot a friend! All of his memories of Elliot are fond ones, too, so in general Rean just has a lot of Nice Squishy Feelings about this Nice Squishy Mage

That said, BECAUSE Elliot is a Nice Squishy Mage, Rean kind of feels like he needs to hold a lot of things back around Elliot. He's not even sure why? Like, he knows Elliot's an adult and he's been handling a pretty harsh reality for a pretty long time, but he still just wants to protect the soft boy. He's not angry at Elliot for not telling him things, he's just... ashamed that Elliot had to see him in such an awful light, and afraid of doing anything that might make it worse (or, God forbid, hurt Elliot).

tl;dr Rean is the #2 Elliot stan, only because Eren is very loudly #1 and he's not stupid enough to fight him for that place.

STRETCHES FINGERS ok

Crow's opinion on James is somewhat nostalgic because his gruff army-like personality reminds him a lot of his Uncle Rutger down in Florida who also kinda has this seasoned veteran vibe. It's probably why he's so quick to ease into the shitposting with him (that's right, James, he doesn't offer to just have a dicking contest with just ANYONE) and he's glad that James at least plays along with him regarding that.

That being said, he's gonna come to really appreciate his advice when he's shopping for that "So I think I might be a Terrorist" hallmark card, because...somehow he has a lot in common with both him and Eren Jaeger and that's

That's a discovery.

I CAN'T REALLY WRITE A WHOLE ESSAY HERE like I have for some others but.

His feelings on Al can be boiled down to just. A sympathetic sidelong glance and "he... he tries."

He can tell Al's working through a lot of Issues, and it makes him really hesitant to judge Al too harshly as a result. Rean is basically a therapy dog given human form and also anxiety, so naturally, he just wants to help out! And when Al's more stable, he's a nice enough guy!

But there's no doubt he's pretty worried, too. Like... how do you not be. The kid wants a cookie for not murdering people. Like, yes, okay, he'll give you a cookie because that's a small ask, but also NO? MURDER IS BAD? HE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SPELL THIS OUT FOR YOU FRIEND.

Al... tries. And Rean knows this, and he loves him. But he might also love him while backing away slowly.

HAHA.... She's sorry that she's like this, Rean, but in the novels own words, she doesn't want to distrust people but she just does and there's no explanation for it at all, she's just [constant anxiety] all the time and she even thinks that she's suffering because she wants??? To trust people, and especially her brother because she cares about him so much but she is just Incapable and winds up suffering since she's caught in between.

She doesn't hate him though, and honestly it's going to take a lot for her to hate him, really? Even what happened in February didn't get her to dislike him but largely because she blames herself for that situation as a whole, really :/

And she will tell him that it's okay for him to have friends! Or things further than friends! Live your best life, big brother, she'll watch from the sidelines...

too long, read anyway: He's. Really not sure how to feel? Because on one hand, he's had a lot of positive interactions with Derek! They've had some interesting conversations, Derek invited him out to have a good time (granted he invited everyone, loudly and repeatedly, but still), he was grateful with the whole slug incident.

On the other hand, the being a dick in the cafe thing, even now that the moody traits are gone, was kind of. Hmmm. You do know bullying people isn't fun, right? Please tell him you know and understand this. He WANTS to respect you, dude. :

MUSIC BOY LETS GO

Crow adores Elliot. If Eren and Rean are his #1 and #2 stans, then Crow's the one who's cheering at him behind the stage (and #3).

Maybe it's because Elliot's just so different from him and in need of someone to push him forward that Crow took a liking to him. Aside from being a fan of his music, he's glad that the person behind the violin is so honest and genuine. That's actually a perfect term for it. Elliot's just genuine.

If there's one person Crow places his respect into, it's Elliot Craig. Elliot's not the bravest or strongest person physically that he's ever met, but when it comes to pushing himself to be the best he can be despite his shyness and despite his shortcomings. When the fire hit and Elliot was brave despite that, Crow could have been more proud of him, and even moreso after the fire when he found out Elliot's been going to therapy to HELP that problem.

He's a man who looks after himself and others, yet doesn't mind also being looked after too.

And he's also someone who doesn't mind bopping Crow on the head with a newspaper when he's being a bad Samoyed. That's important too.

All in all HE IS FIGHTING REAN FOR VICE PRESIDENT IN THE ELLIOT FANCLUB

LET'S JUST SAY HE PROBABLY STILL THINKS DIE HARD IS A CHRISTMAS FILM.... (and the jury's out whether anyone's had the heart to tell him otherwise)

But aside from giving him questionable interpretations of action movies, Crow hasn't been that bad of an influence on him yet! Xiaolang is still minorly salty about having the kid card pulled on him (though it was for the best..... please do not have the minor watch an R rated film), but Crow's proven himself to be a decent, reliable adult when the situation calls for it! Or, at least, Crow allows him to do his thing, and steps in when he needs it the most, which is important when Xiaolang does stupid stuff and pushes himself to his limits 8'|

So yeah, Xiaolang's on the fence about whether Crow is the cool adult who'll let him fight with the others, or the strict one who'll keep him out of it, but! He's definitely not someone he minds talking to, and hopefully of these days they'll get their magic/sword sparring on when things are less hectic!

okay like there's no nice way to say this, but honestly anna is, like, a hair's breadth away from cold-cocking derek at basically all times. she doesn't think he's capable of reading situations and reacting like a regular normal human person would, she's still pissed about the dream because it still doesn't feel like a dream to her, and she doesn't feel like he cares about her or listens to her when she talks.

but she doesn't think any of it (except the dream) is on purpose, usually, so she's willing to tolerate him and acknowledge when he does actually say or do something useful, and whether she likes it or not he is still here. so that means she has a duty to try to keep him safe because of who she is as a person. he's just, like. he's so Much, sometimes.

HAHA

HAHAAAA

Man, this really is tl;cr, but long story short... Xiaolang does not like Al.

Granted, their reconciliation thread is still in progress, so the intensity of his dislike may fade after that... but Al's had so many strikes against him at this point that fully forgiving him might be a while. Xiaolang has absolutely no idea what Al had went through during the AU switch, so from his perspective, the fact that Al absolutely snapped when he shut down what he (assumed) was flirting gave him... the completely wrong idea about the guy. Because he doesn't want Sakura to be stuck dealing with a person who reacts violently when she says something that they don't like! And especially not throwing something that's made her cry in private straight to her face!!

So Al already has a massive strike against him for that! Granted, Xiaolang knows what he tried to do to Al during the event was wrong, even with the influence of the virus and his intense dislike of him, and he's not entirely proud of that-- but contrary to what Al believes, he most definitely does not want to kill him. What Xiaolang does when he dislikes people is that he ignores them, or at least outright avoids them, but!! Al keeps butting into things!! And trying to talk to him!! And making things worse!!!! And so of course Xiaolang's going to be testy with him, and mean (although he really is lapsing into bad habits), and getting punched in the stomach by him (however well-intentioned) really... made things worse

Of course, he's too naive to really grasp the full scope of what Al could have done to him, but he's wary enough about him that he doesn't trust him around Sakura... and he's even warned her about him too! So he's pissed that they met up without him knowing (pissed at Al, not Sakura... Sakura never listening to his warnings is a sad, universal consistent), not because he was trying to keep it a secret, but he just-- does not trust Al around her, at all.

Again, talking some of this out will lessen some of his dislike, but he'll never truly be able to shake off the salt. (And boy, once Rean tells him what AL told him about their feud....)

Um because he actually legit is, obviously??

Kokichi is a huge jerk and a troll but Yuuki knows better than anyone else how kind and caring he is and the lengths he'll go through for others, especially her. She knows he worries about her, and for a long time that was a very one-sided thing, because she kind of figured he knew how to handle himself well enough. And why wouldn't she? He's always confident in himself and being silly with his lies and jokes and trolling - of course he has things together. Even if she knew there were layers to his actions and figured he was taking some things more seriously than he liked to give off, it never really occurred to her that he might have struggled with anything outside of her being sick.

But with Retrospec things happening, it's becoming clearer to her that her impression wasn't the case at all. She's a lot more worried for his sake as well, and although she's trying to stay upbeat (and does legitimately equate a lot of this to ~*RPG ADVENTURES*~ whoa), she absolutely doesn't want anything bad to happen to him, as a result of the physical dangers presented by the wonky state of the world or anything that could come of traumatic memories.

It's been weird for her, remembering a life where he wasn't her brother, but after everything they've been through, she's already decided that no matter what she remembers, it won't change her views on them as siblings.

He thinks Elliot is a nice person!! Anyone who hardly bats an eye at someone randomly switching bodies with their roommate already earns his gratitude, but so far, his impression of Elliot has been a positive one! Granted, he does feel bad about making him run up the mountain after Fie (he's surrounded by so many athletic folks that people who aren't in shape are a rarity for him), but he's... sure Elliot won't hold it against him. Probably??

He's also pretty curious about the magic from his world since he's... less allergic to discussing magical-related things now, and Elliot's staff reminds him a bit of Sakura's own! One of these days he's going to have to ask him for some sort of magic practice, spar or advice, because it's obvious Elliot's got a better handle on it than he does.

Derek thinks Rean is an amusing kid and he also really appreciate Rean for helping him with the vomiting slugs incident. Brownie points for Rean! Derek does think Rean needs to loosen up more, though he is probably not going about it the right way. He is interested in how Rean's magic works and does plan on asking him about it one day. Overall, a good impression that leaves Derek open to getting to know him better.

IT TAKES A NERD TO KNOW A NERD

But man... Shinji and Xiaolang's relationship has grown a LOT since that first fateful thread about otherkin. At first Xiaolang mostly saw Shinji as some bratty elementary school kid who played dirty at Children's Card Games, and now...

... well, he's still a bratty elementary school kid, but over time, Xiaolang's gotten kind of protective over him? Considering he's the youngest on the app and has to deal with the rest of this crazy shit, that's reason enough, but knowing that Shinji's got some messed up memories thanks to all of this certainly helped too. He doesn't want to coddle him, since god knows he hates that himself and he knows Shinji is a clever, whip-smart kid, but he'll do his damnedest to keep him safe if he can help it. Xiaolang's always the baby of the bunch, be it with his sisters or at home with Leon, or whatever group thing Retrospec is doing that doesn't involve Shinji, so being the older, mentor figure for once is... new? And a bit different? Of course, Xiaolang's always been a mature kid, so he's good at being responsible, but it's just... a whole other experience for him.

He'd probably be a little embarrassed to call him his friend, since what self-respecting 9th grader is friends with an elementary schooler, but... they definitely friends. Even if Shinji calls him out on never using Snopes and Xiaolang refuses to let him touch his sword 8')

Well, here we go. This is gonna be quite the TLDR

Rean is pretty much his other half in all meanings of the word. The straight man to his ridiculousness, his partner-in-crime, his best friend, and the girl on the playground he pulls the pigtails of all at once. It's safe to say Crow's never been this close with anyone, even including people from his hometown, and it shows in just how much he seeks out Rean's company. He wants to be by him, not just be entertaining while in the presence of him.

His current situation with Rean, however, makes this a pretty awkward moment for him. By now, he knows that his past life self was not a good person. All the pieces are falling into place and he's starting to see just how two faced his past life was. He has no idea if he's faked everything back in that life (thanks, vague memories) or if there was someone else pulling the strings of fate, but facts are facts and Crow is trying to work out what might transferred over, if anything.

It does worry him, though, that he was apparently so easy to turn on someone he respects now, and probably back then. Rean's not the only one who feels like he doesn't know who Crow really is. Crow's feeling that a lot about himself, too, and that maybe the distance Rean has put between them is for the better. After all, there's no proper Hallmark card to announce you were a terrorist. If only he weren't so damn addicted to his presence, it would be a lot easier. But Rean always catches his attention and no matter what, he's gonna give that boy the time of day.

It's also something that he's afraid of losing, too. That his past life has come back to now sabotage what he'd hoped was his life starting to get on track. He's felt happier in the past few months at Recolle than he ever has since mid-high school, and the idea of going back to that is something that keeps him up at night. Losing Elliot, or Eren, but especially Rean.

And that's just the friendship part of the deal. Let's not even get into Crow's romantic life (or let's)

Because YEAH, Crow's hella got it bad for Rean, and wishes that the boy could at least see how great of a person he is for himself, especially when he's everything Crow's ever wanted. His typical 'playboy' attitude shields a lot of his emotions from Rean's view, to his benefit, but it's also making it incredibly frustrating to try and flirt with. Rean's someone you have to tell outright, and telling outright is something Crow's having trouble finding himself doing as well.

Combine that with the past memories and how he believes your soul can retain some of your previous self's attitude...he trust Rean, and he wants to trust himself. But he doesn't know if there's something like past life's Crow hidden somewhere in him, and the idea of breaking Rean like that is a real possibility and fear to him.

All in all, Crow's a mess of feelings right now that'll only get more and more emotional but DEEP DOWN HIS KOKORO BEATS FOR THIS WEEB

Crow's fun! Cat adventures, candy adventures, he's cool with impulsive activities which is great because Yuuki is also down for those types of things. He's laid back but still gives off a reasonably reliable vibe, so she trusts him well enough on whatever shenanigans they happen to be getting into that day. The fact that he backed her up against the wendigo added to that immensely, thank u for looking out for her.

Also her brother is perfectly fine... probably... don't worry about it.

Al's fun to be around! He's friendly and helpful and she appreciates that, although he does sometimes remind her mildly of some of the more overeager guys online who have tried to accost her. It's nothing too negative though; so far she just kind of figures he's like that. Would hang out and probably spar with swords now that she's actually got some of those skills back!

Elliot with Crow

Elliot adores Crow. Ever since the day Crow approached him in the cat cafe, he's taken such a liking to the guy. Crow is very different from him and isn't a musician himself, but he's one of those few people that can actually keep up with him when he's in music mode. They make a great team, no matter the lifetime - and that's big to Elliot!

Not only that, but Crow's been nothing but a very good friend. He hasn't forgotten all the times Crow has helped him over the past few months, and he's so grateful for it. Whether the sky is falling or not, Elliot feels like Crow is a person he can go to. I wouldn't say he idolizes Crow, he sees that he has faults, but he definitely looks up to Crow in a way.

As for the past life memories, it's funny in a way that the memories do matter to their relationship- it's what really helped their bond get deeper. But at the same time, Elliot doesn't put much weight into the memories to judge what kind of person Crow was. He's already kinda figured out that Crow was the traitor and.....it doesn't affect how he views Crow in this lifetime at all. That was the past, and Crow's clearly a good person now - that's what matters. He mostly worries about how Crow's going to take it whenever it comes up (which is very soon haha). He's seen this song and dance enough times to know that people rarely handles memories of being a terrible person super well.

But yes all in all, he adores Crow. He's totally the founding member of the Recolle Crow Defense Squad and would stan him anytime.

also please hook up with Rean, you two are his otp.

Boy...he doesn't think Derek is a bad person or dislike him...but he wouldn't call him a friend either. He feels a little that the guy is only interested in him for his magic and nothing else, which is disheartening. He also feels a LITTLE concerned that this guy is too reliant on his own magic. He hadn't realized that they were related through marriage, but he's from a big family so he's kinda like "huh about that". Basically, hed help Derek and talk to him sometimes, but I don't think he'd consider Derek a friend.
