AU WORKSHOP - SEPTEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. AU NAME: idk i'll probably just have her go by yona still
AU AGE: 16
AU OCCUPATION: K-drama actress/eventually a student
BLURB: An up-and-coming actress from Korea who will be coming to Recollé for a vacation now that a period drama she just acted in has finished filming its series finale. She'll be expecting to go back to Korea after a month or so, until she echoes back her red hair and is like "wtf I can't go home like this and also I guess I should help figure out what's going on here". I don't have much aside from that and that she has a bunch of exotic reptiles for pets named Raijuu, Hakuryuu, Seiryuu, Ryokuryuu, and Ouryuu because she's the worst.
LOOKING FOR: Anything! I don't have much planned in the way of preexisting CR but I'm glad to do whatever if you think we could make it work!
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Yona's really the only one I'm seriously considering at this point, but I'm vaguely considering Reyna from the Percy Jackson series in the future!

Aside from being a future schoolmate (since he just started high school this month), it's possible Xiaolang may have seen the drama she's in since his cousin is really into K-dramas? Maybe she dragged him in to watch it at some point and he got into it (not that he'd admit it out loud, of course....) and recognizes her from that?

Right now, I have no idea how they'll get CR, but I am very open to the idea. Ava is a 20 year old tennis player that comes from a well off family who like to build connection with everyone and anyone famous or loaded or both. So maybe somehow Ava's mother made the first connection with her, has been funding her career, and somehow threw Ava her way to befriend and encourage in her career? How old do you think Yona began her career?

I think that could work. I've been kind of running with the idea that Yona's been acting for a while (probably in commercials as a kid and minor roles as a preteen), but that she only started getting bigger roles within the last two/three years or so - the period drama she just finished filming is her first major starring role, though she'll definitely have acted in supporting roles or as a "rival" character for the star in the past, haha. I think that could work if Ava's mom would have seen the potential/could have been a part of why she got the starting role!
...that aside, Yona's going to want to learn sports while she's on vacation so maybe she'll badger Ava for tennis lessons, lmao

Leon is in college but maybe he could recognize her just from being somewhat aware of k-dramas? OR His family owns a really well known technology company in Hong Kong and they do have some business connections in Korea so maybe they could have reached out to her management and ask her to star in a commercial to promote their products? c: if yona was a main character in her drama, akutagawa here might recognize her since he watches j/k-dramas a lot. would that be okay if he did? he won't like follow her home or anything, he'll probably just be.....more inclined to not be horrible to her........ Hopefully.
also an ugly baby dragon/lizard comes out of his shirt, she needs to bond with the yuu triplets at some point ok

yeah, that would be totally fine! also please introduce her to the dragon/lizard, she loves all reptiles. they're her favorites. the ugly ones are the cutest.
