AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Where's that list of orphans who were at the Recolle Oprhanage when you need it?

Matt is 32/33 or so and was around during the time Derek was at the orphanage so I'm guessing they were both there at the same time for several years until Nicolai left.

He works as an assistant district attorney, meaning he's one of the prosecutors that gets called up and asked about pressing charges when Nicolai gets dragged in to the precinct for being naughty. If you'd like we can say some of Nicolai's cases have crossed Matt's desk before. Please try harder to turn your life around so you don't get sent to jail again!

Any interest in making Ai and Matt old acquaintances from childhood? Matt is a Recolle native about three or four years older than her who took piano lessons for years from one of the friendly local teachers. Maybe these two had the same teacher and crossed paths as one kid's lesson ended and the other's started and at their recitals?

Nic could most certainly be a bad influence and a weed source. There's defs a chance they could hang now and then but boy he'd rip on Jamie being straightlaced and try to get him to drink booze and commit crimes and knife fight

I'd love for his name to be known through various cases. Probably stuff like vandalism, breaking and entering, maybe a little armed robbery... And of course plenty of bar fights.

HELLO i'm mostly canonblind but i figured there could be some neat cr here because of the whole Canons With Anthropomorphic Objects thing...! kashuu here is a sophomore in college this year, studying as a fashion designer and working part-time as a barista! he's been in game so long that he also remembers he's A Sword™ and spends some of his time organizing self-defense stuff in case reality ever shatters again SO THERE'S THAT. if any of that sounds good to you, i'm here for it!

that sounds amazing & i would love to have cr with you! phos does fight later on in the series, and it's possibly something they might remember that before remembering that they're a giant piece of rock with disparate platinum-gold alloy, agate quartz, lapis lazuli, and synthetic pearl parts; so they'd probably join in on self-defense.

oho i'm glad and totally here for both of these things!! maybe once shit starts getting real kashuu can help them deal with the self-defense stuff but in the meantime, they can sparkle gently from afar... or stop by his cafe, or both. he gives out lots of discounts to customers he likes LMAO. and his work is largely clean modern lines in black/red/gold and other darker colors! sleek and elegant aesthetic, mainly, if that's phos' jam!

also, that's super neat! peyton might actually like kashuu's work; maybe not at first, but the sleek and elegance part might be something they're drawn to later on. in the series, their clothes are...well, designed to be mourning clothes? but they also get this super sleek flowy uniform in the moon. this is a fanart image, but a good representation of both the flowy outfit and the standard uniform.

He's been in Recollé for the past three years, so definitely a while now! And understandable, Tatsuma pretty much lived with their grandparents on accounts of his parents being perpetually Busy, so that was a harder hit for him.

That actually fits in nicely. I think I like that idea. Even if Ai doesn't have a great appreciation for piano at the moment she probably would have at least tried making friends with the other musical kids.

yes drag in all the friends, he's a social butterfly and positively mcdies whenever the cafe isn't busy

but oooh gosh, those are both so lovely! i could definitely see kashuu dealing in similar designs, especially with more somber color schemes. he sometimes does designs for other characters like wedding formal wear, costumes for plays, modeling outfits etc too, so there's plenty of work out there for peyton to have possibly seen!

AU AGE:18, a three year increase so he's at the same lifestage as in canon
AU OCCUPATION: Student at community college
BLURB:

- Foster child who doesn't know his roots and doesn't want to know them, because he might be ashamed by whatever dysfunctional people he was taken from
- He's ashamed of how terrified he still is of his foster father even after moving to Recolle. He has to make weekly phone calls just to make sure the leash isn't tightened round his neck.
- Less obsessed with setting fire to everything than in canon, just to save on him being immediately arrested.
- Wants to own a motorbike, partly so he's not a poser if he wears head to toe leather but mostly because he's a giant thrill seeker. He's saving up diligently.
- Wants to be a fighter pilot because piloting giant war machines is The Best Thing Ever, but because the US Airforce is nothing like the RAF I'm hedging my bets here and simply saying he's in community college to bump up his grades enough to apply.
- He needs a part time job and I'm leaning towards him being a mechanic, mostly because he has the opposite of every personality trait required for customer service.
- Is still the vainest thing ever and has an instagram-analogue following to match his ego.
- Practices a martial art to get out the emotional turmoil that lighting fires used to cure. I'm debating here, because I have a little experience with ju jitsu but he's the sort who'd pick something ultraviolent like Krav Maga
- Experiences gender dysphoria but is so far in the closet that he's in Narnia. He wants to believe that he's Normal. Behind his memories of Dilandau sleeps his original self, Celena, and though his memories of being her are suppressed his soul isn't meant to be in the changed body that it's in.

Mr. Nelson likes to take selfies with any students who sleep during his class so she has likely woken up to this.

He isn't the type of strict that makes people nervous. Mr. Nelson wants his students alert and paying attention and as long as they are he acts friendly and cracks jokes. If someone starts giving him attitude though he typically overwhelms them into submission via sass. Some students likely consider him strict because they've received discipline or witnessed it more, others likely consider him a funny teacher.
