AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. BLURB:
-No family, raised in an orphanage and scared off potential parents on purpose
-Lost someone very close to him when he was young and went off on his own
-He's in a biker gang, though mostly he just gets drunk and fights in bars and rides a motorcycle
-Has been to juvie and dropped out of school
-He kinda looks like he's slept on the streets because he has more than once and doesn't actually mind doing so
-Has some pretty bad attention issues, and can't hold a steady job because he stops going the minute he gets bored, but he's a surprisingly good mechanic due to working on his own bike and decent problem-solving skills
-He's a thrill-seeker. He loves sex, fighting, and rock n' roll to nUMB THE PAIN
-Has no self-worth and very little self-preservation instinct, and tends to push people away by being abrasive or lewd
-Often gets in trouble with the law for any number of reasons, sometimes on purpose. For fun and profit!
LOOKING FOR:
-COPS/law enforcement who might recognize him!!!!
-Others to be in his biker gang, people who work at/frequent bars who might recognize him

If he grew up in Recolle orphanage he definitely knew Majima who is 24 and did the same damn thing with potential parents and who also LOVES fighting please fight him

Mako is a cop.

Mako is also an orphan, who had a pretty rough time in the foster family system. There are sooooo many ways they could have met-- because he DOES have a bike in Recolle.

Hello!

Derek is a CSI and is also 25. What age did Nicolai drop out of school? They might have been classmates at one point. Also, When did he enter the orphanage? Derek was there from November 1997- November 1999 until he got adopted.

Ohhh, CSI! Niles probably will have done MORE robberies/muggings/bar fights than anything, but he's probably needed to be investigated before whoops.

I'd say he was about??? 16 when he dropped out? He got his licence and said 'fuck this place, I'm out', and he's been an orphan since he was about five, probably, having been dropped off by his mother in '98, so they could have very well met then!

Already talked about, but he will be the person to patch him up and maybe feed him hot spicy food when Nicolai is needing some free food!

He is a poor poor man who will never say no to it, honestly. And in return he will fight anyone for you. Even if you don't ask him to. Even if you ask him NOT to.

Kamui is absolutely the type to get into a fight with a drunk stranger and then ask to ride said stranger's awesome motorcycle afterward like they're besties. That's basically how he's made half of his friends up til now. He also fanboys strong people who pay attention to him because HE'S TOTALLY GOING TO KEEP GETTING STRONGER AND KICK THEIR ASSES NEXT TIME, JUST YOU WAIT.

He's been to juvie himself but managed to stay in school because he loves his mommy and doesn't want to make her cry. Now he's started running his own internet business designing and crafting custom blades, so he could have asked Nicolai for help with getting materials a few times.

That is very fair. Niles would probably do it too, honestly. One of the few things in life that he likes is his bike...

Don't worry though Kamui, you will definitely eventually get stronger than Niles. The fact that you stayed in school is a testament to that, nevermind physical strength ffff

If Niles needs a current or past job, he's welcome to come work for Jaeger! Jaeger runs a curio shop called "Leviathan's Claw" but since he can't pronounce it properly everyone just calls the place "Jaeger's". It's been open for around three years, so it could be a past employment opportunity if you've already got something lined up for Niles! Jaeger's in general very Shady, so I feel like he would get along with Niles even if this doesn't work!

He'll probably need a couple of jobs, honestly! He only works under-the-table and for as long as he's not bored HONESTLY. Not the best employee, but good at what he does if he can focus on it.

But also on the flip side, Fred used to volunteer at the orphanage when he was in the military! He's about 8 years older than Niles, so I think Niles would have been close to aging out when he did so?

He could have certainly been around to see this terrible trash child while he was still in the orphanage. Niles probably would have given him a hard time, like he gave everyone...

Soooo like Majima and Derek, Tatsuo was in the orphanage. He's 31 now, so he aged out in '04 when Nicolai would have been 11? I think. Tatsuo would still drop by the orphanage after he went to college though, to check on the kids. But he can't necessarily keep track of everyone?

He's also now a CSI with the RPD crime lab and has a motorcycle

Well Jamie here is a mostly straitlaced college kid, except he smokes hella weed (responsibly) and has no issues palling around with delinquents...
He rides a moped, is that rock n roll?? (Maybe he met / will meet Nicolai when it gets busted somehow??) idk, he doesn't go to bars (cause he's not 21 yet) but they could be friends!!

Where's that list of orphans who were at the Recolle Oprhanage when you need it?

Matt is 32/33 or so and was around during the time Derek was at the orphanage so I'm guessing they were both there at the same time for several years until Nicolai left.

He works as an assistant district attorney, meaning he's one of the prosecutors that gets called up and asked about pressing charges when Nicolai gets dragged in to the precinct for being naughty. If you'd like we can say some of Nicolai's cases have crossed Matt's desk before. Please try harder to turn your life around so you don't get sent to jail again!
