AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. that aside, since oda's also an avid book worm...and a constant visitor of the library... maybe that's where they could have met? oda's parents also have a local curry restaurant so... i don't know.......if....maybe..... what if they're childhood friends from ever since atsushi moving to recolle...

I have the official IC write up here! Need to fix it up a bit to account for some of those characters having dropped, but the general idea is that it's the organization that plans and hosts a lot of events (both handwaved and logged) in the city, so we could easily figure out something for Ignis if you're interested!

Atsushi moved to recolle at 18 (my dumb ass forgot to put that in there...) BUT he’s totally a glutton and is VERY LIKELY to visit Oda’s curry shop.

They could meet at the library and become friends, then Oda mentions a curry shop, and Atsushi’s eyes light up...

And tbh both of them might remember Dazai eventually...

i heard Rosalind basically adopted Noct! thank u for caring for his son ;_; i can totally roll with the two of them being familiar from ages ago. she may be the only person who is capable of embarrassing Ignis by knowing things about him as a child hgkjfds. please only use these powers for good and not evil, Ros...... i legit have gathered a plethora of ridic headcanons for Ignis as a child while he knew Noct so if you want any of that for Ros' knowledge then just let me know!

Omg please give me all the headcanon . . . BUT YES for her end, she worked for Noct's father as a researcher, and one time got saddled with watching baby Noctis, and then suddenly he asked questions and she taught him and he got attached and kept coming back and there we are.

So yes tell me about child Ignis and how he and Ros interacted, b/c I feel like Ros takes one look at another baby following Noct around and is like god please i am not running a school, where did you even come from.

okay so when odasaku was studying english he basically LIVED in the public and university libraries tbh. he's fallen asleep there too. besides that he was also a part of that same book club to talk about all the bizarre (even somewhat disturbing) or depressing books that he likes to read.

if waver works in the library then he may also see odasaku staring at the ceiling for over an hour because writer's block hit him like a ton of bricks and he's searching for a reason to live inspiration

Yeah, for now. I'm figuring chemistry for him because it's closer to his alchemic skills from canon and I'd love to see him acting as a forensics person one day because of plot.

That said, what are we gonna do when they realize they fought in the same war in their other lives?

Probably just school friends prior to this, though? She's been keeping a lot of emotional walls because she'd still been presenting as male and didn't want anyone to get close enough to figure it out, but that's going to be changing soon at least?

oda's already half way there...he already remembers dazai so when he realizes that atsushi knows him too he'll be like oh my god...

but that's so cute oh my gosh. atsushi and odasaku eating tons of curry while talking about new books that they've read??? though oda can't help but be shocked when he sees how much and how quickly atsushi is eating....he's worried that boy will choke.

now that i think about it more i may very well toss Ignis at this, since it sounds like something that could give a good sense of direction in his life (he's sort of having a WHAT AM I DOING WHAT DO I WANT TO DO WITH MY LIFE crisis). he's very focused on health (mental and physical) and well-being, esp because of his mother and uncle, and he understands how important teaching is from his father so this sounds right up his alley!
