AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY
Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc.
BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

they should totally walk their dogs together! and I heard Noct was getting a job so Ignis will def want to head there to investigate ~~for mother henning safety reasons~~ the place, it'll be a hangout of his for sure lol

the volunteer association sounds interesting so i'll have to look into that as a possibility for Ignis. do you have a rundown of information on that i could read? :Ta

I have the official IC write up here! Need to fix it up a bit to account for some of those characters having dropped, but the general idea is that it's the organization that plans and hosts a lot of events (both handwaved and logged) in the city, so we could easily figure out something for Ignis if you're interested!

now that i think about it more i may very well toss Ignis at this, since it sounds like something that could give a good sense of direction in his life (he's sort of having a WHAT AM I DOING WHAT DO I WANT TO DO WITH MY LIFE crisis). he's very focused on health (mental and physical) and well-being, esp because of his mother and uncle, and he understands how important teaching is from his father so this sounds right up his alley!

awesome! He could be part of the Youth Outreach division like Terra, then? Or you could make up a completely new one just focused on health, I'm easy haha

I think Ignis managing a program on his own would work out better for him if that'd be okay? :|a

like being his own coordinator? Of course! As long as you let me know and sign up for it on the page I linked once you get in I'm so down! What kind of program were you thinking?

FINGERS CROSSED THAT I GET IN i've slammed down my reserve already and my app is nearly done! o9 i was thinking something along the lines of what a health trainer would do, advising on good eating habits, exercise, just general TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND HERE'S HOW things, both in the practical sense and also lending some medical advice for everyday concerns or problems, kind of like a counselor

that may of course be too much so if i should narrow it down to something smaller please lmk! there's a lot of things OU Ignis would know and be serious about that AU Ignis would need to learn to be more... I guess, proactive about? i'd probably have a mess on my hands if i tried to push him toward doing too many things at once but it's legit what his normal canon self is like so trying to find a middle-ground to work with is hard ?_?

HMM maybe he could be a coordinator for the Health and Wellness programs at ReVA? Or an intern or general volunteer, whichever you feel would suit him better! Also I know this feeling, Minako is also a workaholic in her canon and AU so they can have coffee breaks and just be tired together hahaha

General volunteer sounds like it'd be best for him! His main priority is caring for Noct so he'd want something to do on his free time (not that he thinks he has much of it h-haha) that wouldn't need to occupy a large chunk of his schedule.

and yes god they'll just be exhausted and chug pots of coffee like it's going out of style

awesome! I'll leave it to you how often they've seen each other around then? Minako usually organizes bigger events so she might not have much to do with the health and wellness program...but I'd love for them to be coffee friends even so!!
