AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this. • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. AU OCCUPATION: Pawn shop owner/coin collector/potential host club member? IDK One of these things
BLURB:

- Owns a pawn shop that’s known for being extremely picky about condition. He won't just buy anything even if it appears to be valuable.
- Due to traveling the world he amassed a coin collection and has just enjoyed collecting them since. So coins he's less picky with because...
- It’s said he smiles widely if someone brings him a coin that he’s never seen before and they’ll be blessed for days.
- Opposite for when someone tries to bring him a coin or an item he doesn’t want and he tells them to quit wasting his time. Bad luck for days. Rumors are that he's bad luck in general.
- Basically, his dumbass shop is just filled with superstitions or something.
- His personal luck is shitty. Probably has gone through four cell phones this year, his car has been in the shop far too many times over stupid things, had a dog and a cat who both died at random, stuff like that. But despite all that he seems to have a positive attitude and not have it affect his outlook on life. Basically a lot of things,
living and objects, die on him.
- There are probably jokes about him being the grim reaper as a result.
- Likes to feed the squirrels.
- The oldest child in his family and the only male. Probably has at least two little sisters and he talks about them all the time.
- Probably traveled the world before settling in Recolle so he’s well versed in cultures as well as some in history.
- Potentially a part time host club member by night because why the hell not and I got bullied into the idea.

LOOKING FOR:

- Characters who will go out and have a beer with him.
- Patrons?
- Middle aged man CR that would be fitting
- He’s married to traveling so romance won’t be a thing for him, but people can try?
- Little sisters to dote on!
- Maybe he tutors stuff on history and culture when people come into his shop. Until he gets off track about cool shit he’s found overseas.

Kiryu is defs the kind of guy to have a beer with him! He's also like, a (relatively) normal and nice guy and he's moving soon, so he might as well pawn some of his old stuff off and see what he can get for it!

we will probably do both because I imagine his shop doesn't get him a living wage but he refuses to give it up BECAUSE PRECIOUS ARTIFACTS. so yes, that's what he does. I just realized that after a bit because it's late and it's been a long day.

BUT MORE SERIOUSLY if he's working at the club they're probably at least friends! like, actual friends and not "bonding over murder and a lack of morals" friends LMFAO. she'd definitely go out to have a beer with him (although he'll also probably have to put up with them potentially getting thrown out of any bars since she'll probably end up in a fight sooner or later, gotta love that hair trigger temper). if he's working a pawn shop, she probably swings by with useless junk and garbage just to mess with him. what a great friend to have, right...

Sounds like a great friend, but I mean if she gives a good fu-- him a fun night out in the town then I'm sure he's forgiving. It's probably why he'd put up with her giving him useless shit. But he'd probably get along with her just because she probably brings him down to earth or something.

So Zaveid has had a conga line of bizarre Eizen memories, but that being said, depending on AU appearance/name, Zaveid miiiight not really be able to connect the dots. Alternately, since he works for Jaeger, hes probably come in to bug Eizen about how he looks JUST LIKE THIS GUY FROM HIS MEMORIES which would be pretty damn hilarious.

But yeah I am open for pretty much anything.

Yeah, Eizen probably won't look too much different. Maybe not as muscled up, but definitely blond haired and blue eyed way too much eyeliner that he'd look similar.

But yes, that would be hilarious because why are you like this? You're weird, but that's fine because it makes the day go by faster when he doesn't have customers.

Sorey is also a history nerd (he's getting a degree in archaeology this year, big shocker) and I'd love for them to know each other! Or at the very least they could hit it off easy... I'm sure he'd bring Eizen coins. Move over wheat pennies, here's a coin from the rule of [goes on for five minutes about British monarchy]

Sorey knows a great deal about his own canon now, and he knows Zaveid and Magilou are from the same world, so that will also make him an easy target for regains!

.....I would almost be tempted to offer Sakura as a little sister. Though I've said hers is more like nineteen than Eiz--er, Isaac's age. Really though I thoroughly approve of all of this omg. His Curse, man. Poor guy. Even in au he is not free of Everything Happening around him.

But Sakura would be such good little sister material. I mean, maybe step families could be a thing, etc. etc. or if mom had him at a young age, but it would require a lot of planning out how that'd work (and how many little sisters there are. There's never too many little sisters).
