BLURB:

• 16 year old military brat whose full name is Vrischika, but she goes by Vriska. Daughter of an Indian mother and European mutt father who is no longer in the picture.
• Her mother is disabled, and Vriska has grown up needing to take care of her. She pretends it's fine, but growing up needing to look after her mom has actually really messed with her head.
• Her rebellious streak is a mile wide and she's constantly in trouble at school for cutting class. At the same time, she's also a competitive overachiever. Her academic record is very uneven.
• She owns an electric guitar and fancies herself a one woman rock band. She likes metal and screamo and annoys all her neighbors by blasting music and shrieking along.
• Vriska is a gaming YouTuber of some fame. She plays mostly FPS games and is semi-famous for viciously roasting dudes who mock her because she's young or a girl. Her Twitter account has a decent following as well.
• Secretly she's a big nerd for history and loves studying the downfall of empires and other doomsday scenarios.
• Vriska hates and disdains everyone she's ever met while also deeply craving their approval. Underneath her extremely prickly, mocking, mean, and petty facade, she's actually got a soft heart and desperately wants friends and to be liked and accepted. However, she's also scared of being rejected and will shove people away in a heartbeat if she thinks they're making fun of her or don't like her.

LOOKING FOR: Anyone who can put up with someone as prickly as Vriska is a treasure. Negative CR is always delightful with her. Classmates are definitely welcome, as are fellow gamers. Family CR is totally welcome if you want to be related to this, uh, pleasant young lady. I haven't decided what she'll do for a job yet, though she definitely has one in order to help support her mom. Maybe fast food? Come to me if you want a prickly coworker!
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: So, I for sure, DEFINITELY, won't be apping Vriska until September's app round if I app her at all. But, I wanted to get this out now to start working out some ideas! I've been going back and forth on her AU build slightly, so if anyone wants to work on tying AU elements together that'd be awesome.

I would love some military brat bonding(?) between Vriska and Bucky here! I haven't seen any other folks playing military brats yet so i'm honestly kind of hype to get another one HAHAHA

Also I've got a one man punk/emo band to match her one woman metal/screamo. If you're down for them doing a collab or just shredding guitar aggressively at each other, I am also down as hell

so, most of my experience with military is friends and family; kind of secondary. but, i'm thinking her dad was air force.

the idea as it stands is that actually her parents got divorced a couple years back, at which point vriska and her mom moved off base. she hasn't lived on base in a few years, though she did for most of her life. honestly yeah i figure they'd probably be good pals most of the time, but once the guitars came out it'd be like they never met and were just in a fight to the DEATH. tbh vriska is the same way, she's both a total contrarian and desperate to be liked so any contest would immediately be one she HAD TO WIN (be impressed, bucky, look how cOOL SHE IS)

LMFAO GOD so basically, vriska really looks up to her dad even if he left her mom and thinks of him as a hero. she wants to go into the military really bad, but actually isn't married to a branch even if her dad was airforce. she'll go where her skills take her; the familial loyalty thing isn't a big deal outside of BEING military and being a hero. so, in short: she doesn't care but shE'LL CARE IF YOU WANT, SCRUB

but okay yeah that makes sense! bucky's relatively new to recolle, he's only been here two years so they probably didn't ever see each other on base. BUT, we could have them be like. casual friends at school or something and establish pre-existing CR there, and then escalate to Death Guitars from there. (DO U HAVE AN ALBUM OUT YET, VRISKA, BECAUSE HE DOES!!! GET ON HIS LEVEL!!!!)

also you fuckin bet bucky cares, he's the proudest goddamn army brat you'll ever see. he bleeds black and gold and probably knows an entire book's worth of obscure facts about how the army is better than every other branch. but it's not that big a deal really, he's only joking about it like 60% of the time. Welp, you already knew I was going to be coming here I think. The only question is how do I throw this idiot at that idiot. *ponders* There's a certain age difference, as the two of them are basically two years apart and one of them is a foreign exchange student turned citizen. So, 'meeting in the halls' is a possibility (as Chloe's the sort to be friendly regardless of age), but I'm not 100% sure how they might have met more socially, or if they would have.

somewhere between the music (he's more a classical snob but he sneaks out to karaoke bars like A LOT) and the history buffs and the fact that they're both prickly as fuck these two would either get along or absolutely hate each other

He'd have to be a previous upperclassman since he'd be just leaving the highschool and getting ready for Uni BUT SHE'S NOT PEACHES AND SUNSHINE and he'd kind of be drawn to that even if he ended up hating her guts over Other Stuff

so yeah Ami is a little younger than the rest of the homestucks thusfar, so I don't know if she and Vriska would have prior CR? but Ami's a minor YouTuber (it's a makeup channel haha) so if there's been any big internet drama surrounding Vriska then she might have some peripheral knowledge of it :o

How disabled is Vriska's mother, and how much would Vriska appreciate hate for there to be a neighboring, one-armed student counsellor to help her out once in awhile? Also, how much does she dislike being criticized, especially regarding glaring shortcomings?
