Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. the idea as it stands is that actually her parents got divorced a couple years back, at which point vriska and her mom moved off base. she hasn't lived on base in a few years, though she did for most of her life. honestly yeah i figure they'd probably be good pals most of the time, but once the guitars came out it'd be like they never met and were just in a fight to the DEATH. tbh vriska is the same way, she's both a total contrarian and desperate to be liked so any contest would immediately be one she HAD TO WIN (be impressed, bucky, look how cOOL SHE IS)

LMFAO GOD so basically, vriska really looks up to her dad even if he left her mom and thinks of him as a hero. she wants to go into the military really bad, but actually isn't married to a branch even if her dad was airforce. she'll go where her skills take her; the familial loyalty thing isn't a big deal outside of BEING military and being a hero. so, in short: she doesn't care but shE'LL CARE IF YOU WANT, SCRUB

lol oh god so they've both staked their self-worth onto arbitrary contests. they're gonna be like an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object, i love it already HAHAHAHA GOD

but okay yeah that makes sense! bucky's relatively new to recolle, he's only been here two years so they probably didn't ever see each other on base. BUT, we could have them be like. casual friends at school or something and establish pre-existing CR there, and then escalate to Death Guitars from there. (DO U HAVE AN ALBUM OUT YET, VRISKA, BECAUSE HE DOES!!! GET ON HIS LEVEL!!!!)

also you fuckin bet bucky cares, he's the proudest goddamn army brat you'll ever see. he bleeds black and gold and probably knows an entire book's worth of obscure facts about how the army is better than every other branch. but it's not that big a deal really, he's only joking about it like 60% of the time. (the other 40% he is dead serious)
