Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.

makoto's family owns a book shop that usually just sells japanese literature and supplies, and very few english books if the demand in the market is high for them.

not sure if you'd a) like for them to have a proper business relationship in regards to selling his novels, or b) have tony and makoto's dad have had a dumb fall out and makoto's dad be like "your novels are not good enough for my shop" aka a dumb adult fight

makoto casually like "your books are okay?"

LOL sure. Guess it kind of depends on how you'd like them to interact? Could say Makoto's dad supported him before he made it big or something so they have the business relationship and Tony would come by a lot so was around as Makoto grew up? So he'd be around/probs quasi-keep up with Makoto.

Or could do the falling out for the drama. I am not sure what kind of drama really laughs I guess they could run into eachother occasionally and go shoot some hoops and then Tony is like "but don't tell your dad. Also Yojimbo still beats the pants off Sevene Samurai any day of the week." Because if they're going to have a dumb argument might as well argue about greatest Kurosawa film laughs.

I DIDN'T WANT TO SUPER INTRUDE INTO YOUR PLANS but omg i love this idea. tony trying to persuade the japanese community through the book shop. and tony knowing makoto since he was a kid, what a dream

if you're down for the falling out to have happened some years in, that's also cool? like, makoto likes tony and thinks he's rather alright, and the fall out could be with the dad rather. but clearly it's not a respectable fall out, it's just dumb arguments all around between the two adults LMAO i'm 100% for that. (i also just love that makoto gets a basketball partner out of this!!)
