Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. James/Bucky/whatever we wanna call him is an angsty emo teen and also has to start thinking about college soon, so if you want to go the scholarship route, he may consider applying Tony's scholarship! He'd basically have no idea who Tony actually is though, other than "that guy whose books I keep seeing at the pharmacy and at airports."

He will also be able to sit there and (incorrectly) fact check every single thing Tony says HAHAHA because James knows all the same people he'll be remembering but under completely different circumstances. ~comics vs movies~ "What are you talking about, that wasn't civil war, civil war was when i punched you in your METAL DICK"

...I'm laughing way too much. Suddenly Tony becomes Dan Slott and starts continuity policing Bucky back. "Iron Man doesn't get dick punched. He's too cool for that. Now scram kid I'm trying to write a best seller."

Also I feel like Tony remembering Civil War is just an horrible terrible road that should happen laughs.

I think them having memories of the same people (if different iterations) is a good start though! Could segue later into the scholarship thing to give them a reason to hang out. What's Bucky got back so far?

James would be such a shit back to him about it too, the more Tony insists on his own version of events the more James is gonna get in your face about it. HE DOESN'T EVEN BELIEVE IN THESE DUMB MEMORIES BUT HE WILL PURELY OUT OF SPITE

but it's okay tony. This Bucky never killed your parents. HE DID ALMOST KILL YOU, THOUGH, LOL

Right now he just remembers a few things from the pre-glory days--being selected for a "special assignment" in the army, and his first ever kill. He's also about to regain a stack of old Cap and Young Allies comics with a bunch of (fictionalized) accounts of some of his early WW2 adventures, so THAT'll be a doozy.

LMAO BUCKY Tony is like don't you have a curfew damn it, kid.

Also plz tell him that it'll go super great with his wormhole PTSD when he gets that back. Making Tony's life miserable since day 1, I support this.

BUT OKAY I think this can work. I'll see if I can't wrangle Tony getting a flashback of Cap and he can post some lol who is this joker thing on the network :, ). Fill him in Bucky and then buckle up for this contentious ride as Tony argues maybe this Captain America guy is a villain or a birthday party clown or something. Starting off with the A+ impressions.

don't worry tony you're safe from the miserable murder trauma--at least from bucky, for now, anyway. he's got a ton more shit to remember from WW2 first. the worst you'll have to put up with is this 16 year old shaking a cane at you yelling about damn whippersnappers on his lawn

HONESTLY james is p much inclined to agree with you on that about captain america, he thinks the whole concept is really stupid. MAYBE THEY CAN BOND OVER SUPERHEROES BEING DUMB until james starts to remember some of that hero worship, at least.

LMAO I feel like at some point Tony's Iron Man books should start getting turned into movies or something and he brings Bucky on as consultant to help Get The Facts Right. Just normal things you do with a teenager.

But he is def up for some superhero ragging.

oh my god OKAY NO GOD PLEASE HAVE HIM BE A CONSULTANT. he would jump at the chance to actually consult on a film. let him atone for the sins committed against him in all those terrible WW2 newsreels

he'd be such an asshole about it too. meanwhile the whole cast and crew is like "why is this literal teenager here and bossing me around, get out"
