He does, and if anything the gym is in the same building as Algira works as a yoga instructor, so he's at the Fitness Center some other times as well. (Nothing to be embarrassed about, he will teach, hope you're very flexible! everyone who has to deal with that will be grateful for the help with that)

Ocean Girl is such a ridiculous canon okay, so convenient plot, much 90s. The aliens only built the one pyramid (maybe?? maybe two??) in Egypt and then the one out on the ocean floor... somewhere Australia-ish... IDK but yeah. Aliens. They probably inspired the Egyptians. Or something. Look just save the oceans. (That's it that's the show.)

HMMM well if Yata was born and raised in Recolle then they probably didn't cross paths until Kurama moved here (he's a recent arrival, for uni) BUT that still leaves open a few options...

1) I love the "they crossed paths once on a case and then it turned into weird friendship" idea, like idk Yata was chasing a guy and Kurama was coming out of a coffee shop and THINKING QUICKLY threw his boiling-hot Americano into the perp's eyes, enabling Yata to tackle the perp and haul him in for JUSTICE

2) I SEE HE LIKES VIDEO GAMES so if you'd like them to have a longer history than that, maybe they met via the internet and were long-distance gamer buddies and then when Kurama was thinking about moving to Recolle that was one of the perks in his considerations, was like oh hey, I know someone who lives there, cool

3) Regardless of what we choose it might actually be really fun to do something kind of like - so Yata's dreaming of making detective, that means he's gonna have to understand THE PSYCHOLOGY OF THE CRIMINAL MIND and so maybe we can find a way to have Kurama be his obviously purely hypothetical criminal consultant who he talks to for insight into stuff like that

because it's not shady at all when Kurama's like YOU KNOW IF I WERE GOING TO ROB THAT BANK THIS IS DEFINITELY HOW I'D DO IT...

UGHHH, but then again canon izumi does call his close friends by nicknames (and even ends one of them with -nyan but only because he's mocking that person's speech impediment) so maybe when he gets his memories back they can bond over that, maybe?

I can honestly go with either. If you want to play out them meeting for the first time, that's easy enough.

But if you really have no preference, I'd say let's go with the former and say they've spoken a few times.

It could've been back when she was still poor income mom and she was having A Day and then on top of everything else her car breaks down outside his shop

And she comes in to ask to use his phone to call a mechanic but he offers to take a look at it for her

And ever since she comes to him for car repairs/selling stuff for money

If she's ever really strapped for cash he probably let her like, pay what she could (maybe like, pay the rest later in the month) to help her out
