...Idek how this would work either honestly LMAO the egos involved????? But uh let's see:

Option 1 the ~Dramatic Option~: Tony was a friend of Jack's wife and they met through her. ...There's issues and hang ups idek, but Tony hasn't forgotten Jack got picked over him and as a last salute to Jack's wife Tony hangs around and makes sure Jack isn't getting fitted for a pair of cement shoes or a knife in the back. Or. Idk. Audited by the IRS he's been there it sucks, man. All this aside yeah you can bet Tony would revel in Jack having shitty days. It's the little thing you've gotta enjoy, you know?

Option 2 the RomCom: I think Jack teaches, right? Tony's editor could recruit him as an "expert" and force Tony to work with him on a novel to get all the details right. Cue bitchiest partnership in history coupled with massive drinking binges and writing while blackedout. The quality's still the same the readers won't know.

Option 3 Operation Normal Shit: they hang out at the same bar(s). Maybe play cards or mahjong or something together.

seto will think he's the most annoying, even without the memory regains. can you imagine how much more antagonistic they'll get when battle city memory regains roll around THAT WILL BE FUN. runs into malik once while getting takeout, starts seeing him everywhere, it's going to drive seto up the wall and that's putting it lightly.

Yamato's mother owns a bistro that specializes in Japanese-style quick lunches, so if you wanted his family to already have connections in Recolle, I'd totally be down with that! I'm also open to the idea of yams just wandering in because he has sword senses really wants tea and then just totally getting on well with him... if you want... bangs gently on the table

YESSS malik has gotten a few memory regains thusfar but nothing about the tournament... mostly just about the ghouls. but i'm sure that will change and then it's like. oh. it's you. with that STUPID BLIMP.
look as long as he can ever so slightly get at kaiba, that is good enough. not that he'd stop, of course, but he'll take what he can get.

i know we had an atem interested at some point, so i'll try to bully enable them in the future. to recolle's advantage, duel monsters doesn't exist so the gods aren't directly summonable... for now.

also!! I was looking at Cabin 11 and I was thinking that it's a really nice/cozy place and it's probably one of the few places that Seto would probably bother to bring investors and probably game reviewers as part of the entertaining clients part of work and then find it nice enough to make an occasional trip down when he bothers stepping out of the office???? so I guess Luke and Seto could kind of know each other in passing that way?

HONESTLY james is p much inclined to agree with you on that about captain america, he thinks the whole concept is really stupid. MAYBE THEY CAN BOND OVER SUPERHEROES BEING DUMB until james starts to remember some of that hero worship, at least.

I definitely want grump vs not grump dynamic! I don't think I could swing him working at a cupcake bakery unless he...temps...or something? Like, if someone calls out? maybe? Funnily enough, as I play through Persona 5, my strongest emotion is "oh my god this just makes me want to replay P3P again," so I'd love CR with a Minako either way.

I'm not sure! I sort of picture him working at something generic like a Panera (which I've never been to) or something where he's equally a barista, so kind of like...bread and coffee. I'm not sure yet! But Abdul should be his customer, definitely.
