SO THE PLAN IS THAT during summer vacation seto's going to put up ads for summer interns bc he doesn't run a giant ass corporation anymore and needs the ~~menial labour~~ extra help since he's basically running a startup |D

would hiro be interested in being one of his poor interns subjected to his terrible working schedule BUT ON THE PLUS SIDE HE GETS TO PLAY AROUND WITH SOME NEAT VR TECH HE'S GOTTEN THROUGH CONNECTIONS™

also!! I was looking at Cabin 11 and I was thinking that it's a really nice/cozy place and it's probably one of the few places that Seto would probably bother to bring investors and probably game reviewers as part of the entertaining clients part of work and then find it nice enough to make an occasional trip down when he bothers stepping out of the office???? so I guess Luke and Seto could kind of know each other in passing that way?

I'm laughing oh my god. PLEASE. I want Hiro to stumble his way into this and it's DEFINITELY NOT WHAT HE WAS THINKING but he gets to play with some neat tech and that's all he cares about. Also it's Hiro, Hiro doesn't believe in actually working normal hours. I'm 100% here for it.

But also yeah! Yeah yeah for sure, that actually would be perfect! Luke tends to keep "minor" hours and "bar" hours and generally runs a pretty relaxed place and if he knew Seto was bringing in clients he'd even be nice enough to make sure things were Smooth Sailing for him. Anybody who brings him business is a good dude in his book. I like it, I think that's a good start for them, too!

I pitched the idea to Jade's player above, so who knows, maybe Seto might end up having two??? interns??? I also intend for Seto to mem-regain the initial holographic stadium/duel disk schematics somewhere down the line even if he has NO IDEA what they are or how they supposedly function and Hiro could totally help him try to reverse engineer a thing that he supposedly invented as a kid (expect no sleep and lots of overtime, Hiro, but he's not heartless so he'll pay you overtime ig)

The Luke/Seto CR seems perfect to me *^* We can always just go from there but oh man, I think Seto might even consider him as soooomewhat of a friend. Good drinks at Cabin 11 are always good in his book.

God. Jade and Hiro as interns...and Xander and I have plans for Jade and Hiro to be friends anyway so that'd be really cute?? But also thanks Seto. Honestly please buy back the schematics just so Seto can be like "????" and Hiro can puzzle it out with him, that would be delightful

That also works for me! Luke as a person can be one of those friends that's prone to making fun of his friends and being a nuisance but he's also a pretty decent dude so he'll behave, like, 70% of the time. I'm sorry if in the future he ends up making a drink inspired by Seto (I will be sure to call it Blue-Eyes White Dragon just for you.)

he's a good employer, okay, he actually pays above minimum wage! you just gotta work with how erratic he is and how he's bad at emoting in general. but yes! I have quite a list of regains that I intend on buying for him, lmao, the schematics for the base holograph stadium is going to be one and then it'll progressively get upgraded :') also, hiro and seto arguing about no that's not how this works

look as long as the 70% of the time happens to be 100% of the time that he's entertaining clients he can be convinced to close one eye to the other 30%. (also i'm screaming yes please call it that but only after i've regained the actual card for him???? i guess???? he's going to be like: ... idk you can call it BEWD." pretends the name came from random inspiration and he's going to be So Conflicted.)
