AU WORKSHOP - FEBRUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. • born and raised in California for the first few years of her life before family moved to Recolle.

• very into animation, cgi, graphic design, etc
  
• probably draws a lot of fanart and posts it online under some kind of pseudonym (disney/pixar/dreamworks/laika/studio ghibli equivalents)
  
• once upon a time ago, she tried softball and was awful at it
  
• does art club and yearbook
  
• average but hardworking student
  
• she's friendly, earnest, and encouraging! honestly, if she were more athletic, she'd be an amazing cheerleader. she's the type that when you ask her to sign your yearbook, she writes a paragraph about how happy she is to be friends with you and how amazing she thinks you are
  
• has a cute and bubbly air that may make her seem a little dim but somehow has enough common sense to straight man people. she's sweet and supportive, but she isn't blind to all flaws.
  
• playing around with the idea of having her have brothers who are in team sports so she'll be into sports as a spectator
  
• she'd probably volunteer or work part time somewhere. i'm undecided on this point.
  
  LOOKING FOR: classmates, friends, neighbors, what have you! if you want a random incident to happen and for chiyo to have a crush on your character, i'm here for you. i am also here for the turns to table and for someone to have a crush on chiyo. this is how you know it's an au because she doesn't come with an all-consuming crush on nozaki lmao
  OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: this is very tentative and i am 50/50 on chiyo and on another character i'll be putting up (sheryl nome).

But omg yes, I need silly shenanigans between these two. Mikorin's a bit older than Chiyo AU wise but if she gets a crush or someone crushes on her, he should totally be her love guru again?? ALSO If Chiyo needs a job, Mikorin's hiring part time work at his flower shop.

hmm i don't know the details of mikoto's AU history but would you like them to know each other for a while, or should their starting point be that mikoto hires her part time at his shop?

either way, yes, i'd absolutely love for him to end up her love confidante again.

If you need more details about him.... his app is over here!! but tl;dr he's the owner of a flower shop and he moved to Recolle when he was young. But hmm... maybe they could have known each other for a while? Maybe even went to the same school even though he'd be a few grades above her?? But I'm also up for them to meet first time via him hiring her! ♥

there is no one i don't love from gsnk (except for maeno. i could leave maeno outside and forget about him.).

could they be neighbors from before mikoto moved out to an apartment? chiyo would be a first gen american, so she'd know japanese from her parents. would that work for you?

if the above works for you, chiyo could also learn flower language from him and like.... indicate with flowers while working at his shop the status of her love life (you know, instead of flashing pages of let's fall in love upside down). H E L P H E R

since it seems she'll be working in the flower shop. koutarou here visits both to buy flowers for his girlfriend and for art references. he's also friends and neighbours with mikorin, and also a painter/part-time art teacher at the university and elementary school.

oh, no, how cute. she'll think it's the sweetest thing that he buys flowers for his girlfriend. how romantic!!!

chiyo's not as good at traditional paints in her recolle life as she is in canon, but i imagine she would still love to talk to him about art in general, how his classes are going, etc. whenever he visits the flower shop.

she'd get flustered if she's flirted with, but if he doesn't realize he's flirting with her, she might not either? she doesn't think she'd be someone to be flirted with.

that said, if he's charming enough, she def could have a passing crush on him. lasting crushes tend to happen because of something ridiculous that chiyo misconstrues at first because that's her life lmao

yes!! absolutely. she'd admire naoto for wanting to be a detective and for being intelligent enough to be one!

would you like them to be friends, too? chiyo respects boundaries, but she's not completely rebuffed by standoffish behavior.

I'd love for them to be friendly, sure! Naoto has a pretty lonely life, living by herself in the city and no real social circle. It might be hard for Sakura to crack that nut without a little effort, but I can absolutely imagine them being friendly school acquaintances at least.
