AU WORKSHOP - SEPTEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Ah, a fellow Is Somehow Working at All the Part-Time Jobs to Pay for College person... They would probably have some sort of acquaintanceship at least because of that, or even a friendship born out of Same Hat-type camaraderie if you'd like. If Touya's a junior, he may have been general education classmates with Suzu at some point as well!

Hello!!! Suzu is a nursing student and will probably be interning at the hospital soon, so they may bump into each other sometimes in the future. She also loves children's picture books despite her other edgy interests, and I could have her be a fan that writes letters to her occasionally. Perhaps an unexpected reply comes in and they become pen pals from that?

-born in France, raised in London with their Aunt and Uncle
-waffled between several fields of study growing up before settling comfortable into painting and photography
-studied in America as part of an exchange student program
-graduated and moved on to a Masters program for art
-works as a freelance/contract concept artist for smaller indie studios to larger AAA firms; also does a lot of backgrounds, skyboxes, and other environment textures
-recently finished a contract locally with ÉcarlateSoft, hence settling down
-active on tumblr with art commissions and prints for sale, as well as some photography (very rarely draws people without it being a paid project)
-tutors art students as a side gig
-not so much a social butterfly as a moth; drawn toward those with vibrant personalities, or who are passionate about life, work, or a hobby, even if Lea knows nothing about it
-open to dating but has low expectations, and poor experience forming lasting attachments unless it's long distance

as an important note: Lea's birth certificate and family label them as female but they do not consider it the "ideal" description of their gender situation. Lea presents themselves as neutral as possible in most circumstances, and would clarify the situation if approached or questioned about it, but doesn't actively go out of their way to correct anyone. so using feminine pronouns based on another character's perception or knowledge of Lea's history is fine.

LOOKING FOR: A roommate, distant family, fellow artists, fans from social media or through past works, people to commission them, old schoolmates, and perhaps even people who knew them from their time in London. others who have before or are currently going through any kind of gender questioning, experimentation, or transition. current/past dating partners?

also, the mysterious estranged military pilot father from their AU is a stretch, but could be worked on if you really want that for an older character!

they can commiserate over paperwork, what the silliest incidents they had to write up reports for were, get each other energy drinks or coffee for the late night rounds they had to do

yes!! she was very spiteful and full of abandonment issues like she is now, but her spite fueled her goody two shoes image, as it does, and started her nagging young.... and got picked on for it because a small child nagging isn't very effective. she strived for perfect grades, too many extracurricular activities, things like that. she absolutely idolized her sisters but especially rose and jasmine up until their fighting made things a lot worse for them to be a cohesive family. she had some other breaking points. she ran away from her foster home for a couple days when she was 15 or so because she felt ~victimized~ over something stupid, and then she had a time partying a lot her freshman year as an undergrad.

GOD they would absolutely do that, James is so bad at not taking the bait on stupid bets. he would 100% try climbing over a barbed wire fence. (He'd probably be good at it too, thanks retrospec for the sick acrobat skills and also the metal arm that can't be barbed, nothing can keep him from this stupidity)

i can't believe that in retconning this friendship into being, james's antagonizing of dave suddenly shoots up to "literally all the time forever"

Yeah, we have a bit of time still, so it's fine. If I do change much if anything with my app it'll probably be more minor things ala adding her dancing lessons. Nothing huge, at least not without poking you and cast about it.

While also being so impressed because Sakura and technology prob aren't as strong a thing with her in comparison. But aw, Hiro. I mean. This is prob true with some of her other cr in them getting the pure/protect instinct but still.

Look she is used to pranks with her brother anyway but still. At least go tag around your own home/other shops that she doesn't have to clean up after. Gosh.

I'm not taking away her memories, so she'll mostly remember stuff that went down? More or less. Just will need to save all the points again towards her regains. I figure I can regain her memories quick enough with others chatting to her about things around Recolle, esp Xiaolang in what he remembers at least from canon too.

(She is! I was so pleased. I'd missed her and she has some great development even in the Clear Card arc and that time skip with how she's matured. It's so good for her.)
