AU WORKSHOP - SEPTEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. AU AGE: 18 or 20 (debating)
AU OCCUPATION: College student (Starting Freshman or Junior year), majoring in chemistry. He also works part time at... any place you can think of. Yes. All of them.
BLURB:
* Sakura's older brother, so the family situation things apply to him as well.
* MAYBE still born on February 29th (if this stays, he'll be 18. But I like the special snowflakeness of it...)
* Used to date an older girl in early high school, got heartbroken when she went away
* Dating a guy now
* Does a million part-time jobs. Money from dad is well and good, but he's definitely doing his best to pay his own way through college (not quite possible, but minimizing debt) so that there's more left for Sakura
* Would do anything for his sister. Except for not tease her if everything is normal. Seriously. Don't lay a hand on her.
* His language problem is slightly less pronounced than Sakura's, because of working so many places, but it's still there in word choices and such. Definitely will lapse into Japanese when he knows people will understand him.

LOOKING FOR: Friends, enemies (he's polite and helpful, but won't take shit and doesn't tolerate bullies), teachers, mentors, what have you.
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Uhhh the other option is Emma Millstein from Trails of Cold Steel but she's probably coming next time.

> When he was 14/15 fell for an older girl/woman who seemed to / did reciprocate his feelings, but left when his sophomore year in high school ended, he was just sixteen. He'd bought a motorbike to impress her; he kept it, to get to his million jobs faster. And for occasional late night grocery runs. He usually prefers his bicycle though.

> Junior year, a transfer student from England came to his school, i.e. Yukito. They became fast friends. Touya figured out about his DID (having the occasional night job helped, since Yue does come out under the moonlight at night); Yuki gave him keys from his apartment, since Yuki's grandparents were gone most of the time anyway. Near the end of their senior year, they began dating. It's a bit of a three-way arrangement, really. But Touya likes getting to know Yue as well as Yuki - and possibly answer Yuki's questions about Yue.

> Touya shared some classes with Leon in high school. The two... did not get along. The dislike sorta kinda transferred to Leon's younger cousin when Xiaolang got close to Sakura. For no reason whatsoever. None.

> During the layer splitting, while Touya was willing to accept the absence of most PCs, missing Sakura drove him extremely angry. Because he knew she wouldn't do that, wouldn't just not come home.

WELL HELLO FRIEND. These two should be classmates? Also fellow workaholics, although Lucille's brand is more charitable work, we can probably find some overlap.

Basically I am going to figure out a way to get CR with you one way or another, and these two seem like a good pair.

HI YOU! And yes, yes they could be! I think there was other stuff attached that would have been easier if he's 20, so I want to clear the age thing first, but even if he's a couple years older, they could have had classes and stuff together! And yes, work!

Luna might have already told you, but we talked about Xiaolang's cousin/guardian- Leon being part of the reason why Touya dislikes Xiaolang, since he's super arrogant and obnoxious. If he's 20, he's the same as Leon and maybe they could have shared a few classes together? OR if he's 18, he could have just seen Leon being obnoxious and annoying in the hallways and is like "I hope I have nothing to do with that guy"

Sob it's a hard choice. I'm kind of leaning towards 20 but still unsure because it's such a spectacular birth day... sigh. But yeah, classmate who probably was a biiit of a problem from the moment Touya first came to the class, too...

Update: he gon' be 20. Classes together and trying not to growl at each other openly is a go?

Look I have icons specifically for dealing with onii-chan. But yeah, I think 20 would work? I don't recall if I had a specific age at all mentioned for Touya or any specific major he would be studying so you have freedom there at least.

I am just pumped for sibling bickering while also being Right There when they are needed. Also Touya and his '....what the heck has my sister been getting into the last year?!' when he hears the stories.

I have 15 icons and I have this one, so yup. And the only reason I'm even debating the 20 (which would be keeping the canon age difference with Sakura) is because then he can't have Feb 29 as birthday. Since that only comes once every four years and was not the thing in 1998... Sigh. Decisions, decisions. But yeah, 20 would generally work very well.

ksjgksjg Touya......at least Xiaolang would be relieved most? of the more intimate moments were in person? Not that that would stop Touya finding out other things Sakura would prob prefer he remained in the dark over. Her life once he has the app too. I can just picture it. Him trying to ground her and her stomping to her room like the kaiju he always claims she is. Insert attempted groundings and her using Mirror and sneaking off to deal with app nonsense anyway. Because how is she supposed to know he can figure that out.

So, for the past two months Sakura has been HIS little sister, and before that he was already kinda viewing her like a little sister. So Derek's all in the "must protect sakura" group.

Also Derek is a CSI and did a double major in chemistry and forensic science. So if Touya even needed help in any of hi Chem courses, Derek would be willing to help.

NO HIS no yeah, definitely. The more he remembers, the more he'll side-eye people trying to be too close to Sakura, but in the end, if they will stand for her safety, he'll live with it.

And oooo that definitely is a thing that might happen. Not that he needs help, but they can probably hit off on conversation in that direction... That will be interesting.

Ah, a fellow Is Somehow Working at All the Part-Time Jobs to Pay for College person... They would probably have some sort of acquaintanceship at least because of that, or even a friendship born out of Same Hat-type camaraderie if you'd like. If Touya's a junior, he may have been general education classmates with Suzu at some point as well!

It's a canon gag that can translate far too well, okay? But yesh, definitely. They probably stuck an acquaintanceship on the fifth place they worked together...?
