AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Roji's canon is on the obscure side, so here's a very brief synopsis: Muhyo & Roji is a manga series that involves...supernatural investigation, obviously, but the spin on it is that a concept called Magic Law exists. That's right, we've got magic lawyers in the form of Executors who have the ability to cast judgment on ghosts. Spirits are not only sought out, but also sentenced (and punished accordingly) for their crimes. While Roji is still learning the ropes and plays a more defensive/supportive role, his partner Muhyo is an absolute genius and is considered a prodigy among Executors. The story revolves around the cases that they take on, as well as the development of their partnership.

AU NAME: Jiro "Roji" Kusano, same as canon
AU AGE: 20
AU OCCUPATION: cook at Recollé University's cafeteria + another part-time job of some sort

BLURB:
- Born and grew up in Japan. He's an only child.
- Roji was a pretty good student in school. He particularly excelled in math, science and home ec.
- He was able to make friends well enough, though he was definitely meek and was easily walked all over by his more pushy "friends". He occasionally got picked on due to this, but he tried not to let it affect him too much.
- As he's grown, he's become much more outgoing, always friendly (if not over-enthusiastically so at times) and trying to help others when he can. Though he's still kind of a doormat and too trusting at times. Simply put, he's on the gullible side.
- Finances have always been kind of tight for Roji's family, so early on he knew that if he was going to attend Recollé U like he really wanted to, he'd have to do some saving up on his own as well and try to get some scholarships to help. His parents were able to provide funding to at least get him to Recollé, where he would then be on his own.
- So, Roji moved to Recollé shortly after graduating high school and has since been working several jobs in hopes of saving up to eventually enroll in Recollé University. He wants to major in something physics-related!

Misc. Details:
- Roji's nickname comes from swapping the kanji in his given name around. (Jiro -> Roji) He developed the nickname with a friend in elementary school and still sticks with it today.
- In terms of physical differences from canon, Roji's yellow-green hair is plain blonde in-game. His eyes are still brown.
- He's a pretty well-seasoned cook (pun not intended), and is especially good at making delicious meals on a budget. He does, after all, live on a budget.
- He's got a notorious sweet tooth.
- He has a great fondness for anime and fantasy-based shows. He's definitely the kind of person who will completely remove himself from social media to avoid spoilers until he can watch the new episode of whatever hit show is airing.
- He does a bit of gaming, particularly with mobile games that he can be F2P in.

LOOKING FOR:
- Friends! From Recollé, back while he lived in Japan, or maybe even online! Thrifty friends would also be excellent since he's a regular at thrift stores.
- Acquaintances from the university. Regular cafeteria goers, coworkers, other staff?
- A roommate/roommates. He's here to happily do all the housework that no one else wants to. He'll also cook meals!
- An employer for his second job. A position as a clerk or custodian would be really good for him.
- Maybe some clubs or online chat groups he can be part of?! He'd love to be nerdy about anime, mobages and tech-y things with people.
- If there are any D&D groups in Recollé, he'd love to break into that scene...!
- Etc.! Feel free to hit me up with other things too!

I'm not sure how Derek/Draco and Lin/L can overlap/meet but we should make it happen!

Derek is a CSI at Recolle Crime labs and is 25yrs old. He graduated from Recolle U in 2015. He is friends with Akira/Light.

Question about this: "Parents died when he was too young to really have much of a solid memory formed of them (age 4), when he went to live with his fairly eccentric, wealthy grandfather in Recolle." How did his parents die? Because Derek's parents died in a car accident too, when he was 4...and he hit his head and got amnesia so he can't remember his parents.

Ok there are a few potential CR possibilities here.

1. Derek works with Mako. He is a CSI at Recolle Crime labs
2. Derek works with and is childhood friends with Tatsuo who also works at the crime lab.
3. Derek is friends with Mako's girlfriend, Ann.
4. Derek was a theater kid on high school, so he likes his movies a lot, plus karaoke.
