Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU OCCUPATION: Editor for a big internet media company, does freelance editorial design for some magazines. Sometimes facilitates interviews...
BLURB:

» Russian immigrant parents that moved to America, fell in love, and pursued the American dream. Ginger ends up being their only son and grew up with Manon Akamine (

wantnotneed) and her crazy siblings (unfortunately they were neighbors).
» Manon was closest to his age, so they spent a lot of time together and were in the same class most of the time. Usually, he was antsy so he had trouble sitting still for a long time as a child, which put a dent on his studies. With some help from the teachers and Manon, he was able to do well in school, but didn’t go so far as to overachieve.
» He immensely enjoyed stories, but ended up joining the school newspaper.
» He lived a very normal life! Wasn’t popular, wasn’t bullied—average. Though his family wasn’t rich, they ended up settling into cozy middle class status by the time he graduated high school.
» His Attempt at romance was dating Manon during his senior year in high school and they didn’t last long at all. Due to clashing personalities, they ended it on a positive note. He probably tried dating again throughout college (he’s bi, so a mix of men and women).
» Attended Recolle University and dormed there. Majored in Communications with a minor in graphic design.
» Interned as a junior reporter and it was horrible; he sucked at it, but somehow pulled through.
» Sometime in his sophomore year, he was scouted for modeling, but he only stayed for a little over half a year before deciding the industry really isn’t him. He does have a reputation still, known predominantly as “Angel Face.” Every so often he gets pestered by the scouter about how he missed his opportunity, etc. sorry? He likes to eat?
» Decided to stay in Recolle to work! His parents ended up missing him and moved to the city, too.
» HABITS: when he’s depressed or stressed from work, he ends up at a bar... drinking his sorrows away. He also writes fanfic from time to time. Working at an internet media company means being on top of trends, so he’s on top of fandom, too (he wishes he wasn’t). He hoards a lot of books... Tends to crush on people easily, but those feelings disappear just as fast.
» PERSONALITY: generally amicable, but definitely an open book. While he looks timid, he isn’t... He’s quick to get flustered or irritated, whines/cries/sometimes yells a lot. Doesn’t really think about long-term relationships because he has those normal fears about people not liking him anymore, etc.
» He owns a female pug named Daisy to cure his loneliness and commitment issues.

LOOKING FOR: Friends!! Colleagues! People that remember when he was a reporter and how he ultimately failed because he couldn’t poker face hard enough, poor souls that have to deal with his drunk self, fans of “Angel Face,” all kinds of exes, interns (his company has a lot of internships just imagine buzzfeed), bullies/people that would tease him... Anything, to be honest.

wow sena how long have you been in the modeling industry?? he’s probably invited around because some managers want to kickstart heir model’s acting career with some short online videos, but he can definitely show up once in a while just cause he’s invited and has a hard time saying no. HE WAS SCOUTED WHEN HE WAS IN JUNIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL so he's been there for quite a while now. if ginger hasn't been around for that long sena would've forgotten his name, lmao... but he does look familiar bc of his face

but nah he doesn't care, he'll enjoy teasing him anyway hehehehehe

yeah... he was only there for a little less than a year?? so easily forgettable aside from people still using his face for stuff. yes he has a very trademark angelic face please only remember him for that

why must the tables turn. first sena annoys Takumi and Akira, then Akira terrorizes Sena and now we’re back here again

oh no... they’ve only written some supportive comments with feedback here and there, never thinking they’ll ever meet. their handle and dumb fics are all they have.

that would be so dumb, but i can totally see it happening. i'm sorry Oda, he'll cry and cling onto you... but this is what Real Friendships are like even when they're internet friendships.

And I just imagined Oda working there during his freshman year of college and boy does he want to forget that year of his life. Something about writing about the rise of k-pop fanfiction and other things that he's drowned in whiskey and his own shame.
