AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER
Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

Awesome! I like the idea of being cousins as well if you're up for that! Zack's last name is Fairweather if you want them to have the same last name or there can just be marriage things in there somewhere?

Zack is an all round farm boy too, city life is pretty new to him. He would have taken care of her like a brother?

I'll get back to you on the last name, I'm not opposed but I'm still sort of waffling on the specifics of her name in general. I mean her canon name is word soup so changing that is a thing.

But oh that's excellent, yeah! I mean she's capable and self-sufficient (I mean, on paper) but she can be something of an assertive tornado of a woman.

fiddlestick who's mothers are related and married into different last names so there's that!

And yes, I'm canon blind, I suspect he wouldn't have to brother over her too much then. XD

But hi yeah! Elliot is 18 and he lived mostly in NYC (his mom was probably from this small town but moved to NYC to make it big as a musician before passing away)-- but he would've visited family a lot during holidays and the summer vacations.

I'd totally be up for Natasha being another cousin! 8D

Hello though! Yeah I'm so down with some network of cousins who knew each other and interacted a lot over the holidays and possibly online too. That sounds fun.

And sort of being able to be close to them again in Recolle and in time for some big Christmas thing seems novel too.

Family things are the best okay. If I could, I'd family-up with everyone.

But that sounds great!! Elliot definitely would've kept in touch online! Anything to stay in touch with his mom's side of the family, since his parents passed away ten years ago (I guess 2007 just sucked for the Fairweathers).

And aw yeah, family christmas time it'll be great.

Probably some phone calls too. Anyway so he moved here relatively recently to her a few years ago, and is her underclassman too that's cute.

Yes! He moved to Recolle at the end of August. He also has an older brother named Carlos that's been a firefighter in the city for a number of years - but they dropped so he's just an NPC now. Elliot meanwhile is an undeclared major who actually really wants to go into music. Like. A lot.

Follow you dreams, Elliot, she believes in you...

... Also consider vegetarian life.

But okay cool so they've known each other forever but are still working out how more daily life goes probably and let's see how it goes on the tdm probably.

Honestly no she's not the sort who projects the need to be doted on, but she's also a one-armed wonder who is only part timing college due to sort of flip flopping her way through majors. I mean she has a stable job (in a casino run by her best friend) so. YOU MAKE THE CALL. I promise that her memories are going to be a mess though.

I think I might end up taking the Fairweather name actually though thinking about it more. I mean when she remembers her canon dad that's going to get to some cognitive dissonances so sorry about your uncle but hey. That's life.

He's naturally a big brother type so he might nag on her once and a while to PICK A MAJOR but he got his associates in mechanical engineering part time while also being in the military so he can't really nag her TOO MUCH. He'll support her in whatever she wants to do, even if it's bunny costumes (but also tease her about that and be slightly protective). So not exactly doting on her, she's free to make her own decisions, but still looking out for her ;D

AND YES MEMORIES ... LOL... That'll be A THING. Zack has some messed up ones too. Not sure if you're familiar with FF7 but it doesn't end well for Zack...

And great! I'm down with that! Poor uncle Zack's Dad... The guy loves all his nieces and nephew like his own kids since Zack is his only one.

I mean Natasha probably loved the man. Actually that's a big change already, having this big supportive family network. Honestly, the idea Zack went into service like that is something she's probably deeply admiring of. (and excuse her she looks good in these bunny costumes and she totally makes a good wage here #empowering or something)

Hahah no I know enough to know that. No one knows Rokka so that'll get to be a surprise for you guys.

Yep, it's going to be interesting to see the changes they go through when they realize they're all not actually family. The family network is pretty important to Zack! :( He joined the military because of Elliot's dad and things like that.
