AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. BLURB: Cain is a promiscuous asshole with a bad boy life style. If there's something he wants, he's willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Cain's also prone to fights with his cocky attitude and short temper but he does have his softer side (like feeding stray cats and being romantic). Because he likes spontaneity in his life and living on the edge, he has a hard time holding down a job (either he gets fired or get bored) and is unwilling to commit to relationships (esp. romantic). He's trying to get his life together but it seems like nothing is going as planned or things are going well but are too boring for him.

Cain's hobbies are smoking, drinking, fighting, fucking, and being the best at whatever he's currently doing.

His family came over from Russia when he was four years old. Somethings happened (that I'm still trying to figure out) which basically started Cain down a path of crime and instability. By the age of fourteen he had a juvie record (petty theft, underage drinking, trespassing, and resisting arrest to name a few) and was sent to foster homes and group homes to try to serve his various community sentences. Cain has runaway from these homes numerous times and has generally lead a fast and sporadic life into his early adulthood.
LOOKING FOR: former girlfriends and boyfriends, current girlfriends and boyfriends (he's not gonna be committed sorry), former group home associates, former foster parents, drinking buddies, other jobs, old jobs (i.e. fired/quit from), childhood friends/group home friends, current friends, anyone and anything really- cain is really diverse in associates and experience. BASICALLY ANYTHING.

Kamui here is 19 and spent his highschool freshman year in juvie for assault and battery. He was a total delinquent during middle school, so he could have been a bitty bad ass who looked up to Cain back then. Or they could have met later through underground fighting circles, Kamui's budding custom blade business, or while Kamui walked into some bar and tried to liquor up despite being underage (and not even lying about it).

Kamui himself is a vulgar asshole with sadistic leanings and who refuses to take most things seriously, so even though I'm canonblind, I think these two might get along. Just as acquaintances, friends, or even a very casual friends-with-benefits deal.

Ahhh Kamui sounds like the perfect friend for Cain!

If you want- maybe looked up to Cain? Or maybe they met briefly in juvie or he heard stories about Cain's time in and out of juvie since Cain did not give a fuck (and still does not give a fuck). And then later the two could have met formally through underground fighting circles? It could make for some interesting stories.

Cain can buy the lil underage baby alcohol and take him along to the bars and parties. Like a cool big brother.

Is Cain the type to do something big before leaving? Maybe Kamui could have even entered juvie while the staff were hastily trying to clean up after the guy. Immediately knew what he had to aspire to.

If not, looking up to an older, cooler Cain is absolutely an option. The more hardcore "I don't give a shit" he was, the more Kamui would try to emulate him.

Either way, meeting up again in some random fighting ring is A+. Let's do it. Kamui is the oldest of several brothers, so having a pseudo older bro slash bad influence for himself would be awesome.

Oh yeah definitely. Cain is sure to leave his mark either figuratively or literally on people, places, and things. Once I flesh out a bit more of the au backstory and not just a "somehow we jumped from humble immigrant roots to a life of no good crime" I can figure out what might have been the big thing he did that got him his reputation. Right now (and in canon) Cain is actually just a nickname/codename so maybe his mark had something to do with that. I'll definitely run it by you when it's finalized so we can decide :)

Yes!! Kiryu could also be a current friend too if you want. A good friend who frowns upon Cain's life choices. Or they can be former friends and have awkward encounters via Majima.

if he was at the orphanage too he and zero probably knew of each other at least? she didn't leave till she aged out at 18 and she's about to turn 25 now. if not, she works as a hostess at club sunshine so they could know each other there too.

Zero sounds exactly like the kind of friend Cain would keep around for drinking, fighting, and fucking! friends with benefits type relationship or former romantic partners is cool by me. Cain is definitely hitting on all of club sunshine's hosts/hostesses and customers so that could be how either of those two relationships kicked off.

I definitely feel like he and Jamie (who moved to the city a little over two years ago for college) should know each other! Does Cain, perhaps, party (a.k.a. smoke hella weed and then watch Bob Ross or Planet Earth on Netflix until he passes out)?? Because that's how Jamie do.

Cain does all kinds of parties and will smoke the devil's lettuce! Alcohol and Weed are probably the only drugs he'll ever do but anywhere where there are people being social, Cain is probably there trying to steal the spotlight or hit on everyone.

(Honestly if you're cool with it I'd be totally down for them to be exes/once and future hookups, too, though how chill/awkward things are between them now would probably depend on exactly how upfront Cain had been about his Thing with commitment.)
