AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? CHARACTER: Rossiu Adai
CANON: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
AU NAME: Rossiu Adai (I don't think I'll be changing this, though who names their kid "Rossiu"...)
AU AGE: 19
AU OCCUPATION: Recollé University student + working at the Recollé Public Library
BLURB:
☆ Currently a student at the university, looking to major in English and become a teacher. When he's not at school he's working at the library. (Or a bookstore if someone wants to hire him?)
☆ Rossiu grew up in Recollé. His mother died when he was a kid and he was raised by his uncle. He was a quiet, shy child and eventually (sort of) grew out of that.
☆ Rossiu was always an exceptional student and earned a scholarship to Recollé University. He's always been adamant about wanting to be a teacher despite pressure from his uncle to go into law enforcement.
☆ Rossiu's very passionate about books. He's always loved reading and while he does use it as escapism sometimes, he likes to learn and will read anything he can get his hands on. His book collection is almost impressively large.
☆ Video games are fun though and he plays some online mmorpgs sometimes, though he's a casual gamer.
☆ He's also fond of debate and can argue with the best of them. He doesn't like picking fights though, so this is pretty much limited to debate club.
☆ He's ultimately a good kid who means well, so his personality's a bit more like he was pre-timeskip.
LOOKING FOR:
I'm pretty flexible with what I have planned out now, so if there's something you want to include, hit me up! As for things I'd love to see:
☆ Friends! Rossiu's lived in Recollé his entire life, so if you want to do something where they were friends and drifted apart, that's fine too! Otherwise looking for fellow university students or online friends!
☆ Teachers/other authority figures! Rossiu's a suck-up and a good student, so chances are he's tried to get on all of his teachers' good sides. He wants to be a teacher someday, so he's looking for tips! For other authority figures, he's a good kid who doesn't make trouble, so maybe we could work out something there.
☆ Neighbors! Rossiu lives with his uncle off-campus, so maybe our characters know each other from outside of school? His uncle lives in a smallish apartment, so anything like that would work.
☆ Relatives...? This one might be a little harder to work with given Rossiu's backstory, but I'm open to changing it, depending on what we want to work out!
☆ Anything else!

so!!! goro usually studies a lot in the library bc it's quiet and since it's getting Cold he can't read outside like he wants to, so he reads normal books too!! maybe they've bonded over that? i definitely want them to have bonded over books, he has a lack of book friends outside of elizabeth

Heiji will see him and probably bring some food over to his uncle's every once in a while, too. I don't know where he finds the time, but he'd do that as a "sorry I came home at 3am and tripped over something in my apartment and probably woke you up in the middle of the night" gift

she doubles as a school counselor so when he was younger if he ever felt unsure about wanting to be a teacher when he was being pressured otherwise, she definitely would've encouraged him to stick with what he wants to make himself happy, if you think that might work!
