Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

AU NAME: ...Cullen... (I'm debating whether to leave his last name Rutherford or pick something more American, may also depend if I find him any au family!)
AU AGE: 32-ish
AU OCCUPATION: Librarian at Recolle Public Library

BLURB:

» American! For that sweet Ferelden accent regain down the road ;)
» Comes from a big family like in canon, with several siblings (probably including that one sister that nags him incessantly)
» Was a shy kid, good at school but not very social
» He was in both football and the chess club in high school. Nerdiest jock ever.
» Had set his sights on being in the military, and was shooting for the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. Between his athletics and grades he was considered practically a shoo-in. While he was doing his initial round of testing, however, it was discovered he suffers from (what was then) previously-undiagnosed cardiomyopathy and was turned down. According to the doctors he was lucky he hadn't collapsed during football before that point.
» He's actually pretty happy being a librarian, even though it's the farthest thing from his original intended occupation.
» Has a secret love of superhero movies/comics/etc
» Terrible at card games
» To keep a grip on his heart problem he eats insanely healthy and does as much exercise as his doctor will allow.
» He has a snazzy townhouse that's just a bit out of his price range, so he's currently living with Biffy (

dandyofawolf) in a very "Odd Couple" kind of roomie situation.
» Does not date because he is still very much a shy nerd.

» SIBLINGS! Half-siblings or step-siblings would work too, his family is still pretty flexible at this point
» Co-workers? Do we have anyone in the game who works at the library?? I don't even know D:

Frederick here is 33 and is former military and... probably did football in high school! Would you be down for them being friends in high school and re-connecting when Frederick is discharged?

That sounds great to me! Is Frederick just getting discharged or has it been a while?

He's been discharged for a bit! He worked as a fitness trainer for a little bit and now is part of the police department in the chocobo mounted unit.

But he's not a social butterfly, but he does like going out quite a bit! He can also def help Cullen with his exercises too.

Would Cullen like to join the Matthews/Nelson clan and be one of Derek's older siblings and cousin to two awesome people? Derek has 6 siblings. Is that large enough?

I am no longer awake enough to be super coherent about this, but YES that sounds great! I would love to have Cullen be Derek's big brother :)

Yay! So far in the family we have Amanda from Little witch acadamia and 9s from Neir:automata as younger siblings, and Foggy nelson and Natasha Romanov from MCU. Oh, you also get Tatsuo and Matt as Derek's "adopted brothers"

I saw that Cullen did well in school. Maybe Cullen could have been that cool older brother who helped Derek with his homework when he was younger and helped Derek develop good study habits? Because, Derek is a pretty huge nerd.

when did cullen start working at the library?? prompto visited it a lot as a kid

HoMan, can Reed come gush to him about superhero stuff sometime? Would that go anywhere?

Hell, even if it doesn't, he'll probably talk Cullen's ears off. Let him pull you out of your shy shell, guy!
