Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this.
• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU NAME: Mrs. Elizabeth Brisby
AU AGE: 38 years old
AU OCCUPATION: Some kind of simple shop work! Bakery, selling fresh fruits, etc. Also, single mom.
BLURB: Once married to a man named Johnathan Brisby, Elizabeth was able to have a simple life and raise ~~at least two~~ sons with him. Unfortunately, he passed away, leaving the widowed Mrs. Brisby to raise her children all on her own. Her little troublemakers (so far) are Kamui (

foeyay) and Katsuki (

eruptive). She's had a rough time with it, given her poor literacy and her background as a farm girl, but she's been doing her very best. She's willing to try and conquer her anxieties and fears for the sake of her children. She's lived in Recolle most of her married life, even if before meeting Johnathan she mostly lived out in the countryside.
LOOKING FOR: Children!! Being a mother is probably the most important aspect of her character, and it would be much more fun to have kids that aren't NPCs. I would especially be interested in one or two kids that are plagued with some kind of illness, to reflect Timothy in canon! Otherwise I think good preexisting CR should be with other mothers in the neighborhood (between Veia and Chata, I'm thinking), or strangers that knew Johnathan.

BONUS: : I need to redraw it, but this would be her human design!!

A mother looking for children is a great thing to randomly spot when you have a child looking for a family. J having a single mother with several children instead of a single father with several children would be much less complicated. (Because said father is the founder of a terrorist cult that J is the strategist/third in command of.) I'm not looking to app him this round because I'm apping another character, and I've come up with a few details not in his workshop comment, but if you would like him he'd happily be her son. I also wouldn't mind having him have some sort of illness, if so, though I have no idea what kind.

That begs the question of how old he is! Katsuki is 17-18ish, and Kamui is 19 - I wouldn't want kids any older than that! But if he's younger or if you (and the other two players) are down for twins or anything of the sort, he can certainly fit in!

He definitely wouldn't be older than that. I was thinking between 14 and 16, though 17 could work as well if Katsuki's player would be up for that.

Her littlest son ~~so far~~!! It'd be nice for her to have a younger kid still in the house, she'd be fighting that empty nest very hard otherwise.

Yes! Do you have a preference for any particular age because I don't? He's not ready to leave the nest without knowing what he'd do with his future anyway, and it's better to live at home once you actually become old enough to attend university, right? Not everybody needs to move out once that time comes.

I would like him to have had a cat for some time, if that would be fine.

Oh, and what hair/eye color will human mom have? What do you think dad had?

I think 14-15 seems just fine, maybe 16 if someone else wiggles in to that younger age group! And weirdly enough, so far all her kids' hair colors resemble the gradient between Jonathan and Brisby, especially if you take Brisby as more reddish-brown! So lighter hair colors, ranging from platinum blond to red hair should be perfectly within the current mould.

The age will be kept open for the time being then! And got it, I'll keep the colors in mind when I fix his AU icons.
