AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER
Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this.
• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

AU NAME: Dr. Alexander [havent decided on a last name but Handsome would be pretty fucking funny now that I think of it]
AU AGE: 39
AU OCCUPATION: medical doctor (emergency)

BLURB:

Grew up in Bumfuck Nowhere, Alaska.
Real life medical professional!! That'd bring us up to what, 4?
Works in the emergency room at Recolle Hospital, where he ~~likes to think he~~ is the Best Doctor.
Probably has no free time whatsoever. (see above)
Probably secretly pitting the interns and residents against each other from behind the scenes.
Oh and also he's an Actual Psychopath. That said, he's not violent and has never intentionally killed anyone, but he does have the superficial pleasantness, manipulative tendencies, and difficulty caring about other people (he became a doctor for prestige, money, and to alleviate boredom). That said, he is very good at faking empathy, but still...
What were you saying about Recolle not having enough villains? Oh, you weren't? Well TOO BAD
I like the idea of him trying to manipulate both PCs and Retrospec to try and Restore The World To Some Superior Natural State, even if that turns out to be a goal that fucks everyone over.
Especially if it also fucks him over.
Would eventually regain healing powers (which have zero negative side effects) and water/ice manipulation
he's sexy and he know it

how about a son or daughter he doesn't know he has??? i ask because he (most likely) has one in canon so it'd be cool to try it

I don't know if Alex would have any interest in men but if he does he could be one of Kiyoshi's exes or hookups or something of the sort?

Koutarou, whom I already have in game, has in the past and not as much in the present, gone to the ER because he gets into various accidents because he draws and walks at the same time. At most it's a broken bone ot two, but most people working at the ER would have tired of this weird guy.. But maybe Alex could have treated Koutarou's injuries at some points?

Kamui has not only put other people in the hospital, I imagine he's gone once or twice himself because he likes to fight. A lot. A lot a lot.

Also, in canon he teams up with a manipulative schemer as The Brawn(TM) so that could potentially become a thing in game too! He's actually very easy to manipulate because he doesn't care about the reasons behind things; if Alex's machinations mean Kamui gets to fight someone strong, he'll happily go along with them.
