AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this. • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? One day daddy randomly has a tail for some reason. Yeah, that would probably be the way Kiyoshi found out. There aren't very many other ways for him to figure it out unless he meets them at the same time and hears how old he is and figures things out from there. Do you have any preference for how long they've known they're father and son, and how well they know each other?

Kiyoshi would be totally fine with that. In the first place he likes a little less formality, and prefers when people he knows calls him Kii-chan rather than Kiyoshi, so if you decide to have him do that it's sort of fitting, even.

Always great when you find out your father might not be all that human after all. Really raises questions about yourself. And I'd say maybe recently, so we could have the chance to rp through some of the awkwardness? Natsume will definitely have a lot of complicated feelings about the whole situation, and would start off being as difficult as humanly possible. WHICH being difficult for him doesn't nix the possibility of him using a cutesy title for him. If anything it might increase the possibility.

It's the best sort of discovery. Would Natsume be disappointed to find out he's not not!human? (They..are only humans in EnStars, right?) Recently sounds good, playing out the weird getting to know each other stuff would be fun. Kiyoshi would have some complicated feelings too but more about that he didn't know about him earlier, than about him existing at all. That's actually not much of a surprise. The only question then is if it's recent as in a week ago recent of a few months ago recent, or however long it might have been.

Honestly? He would not be disappointed at all, it'd be something that'd make him a lot more willing to talk to his dad in a less passive aggressive way (but yeah, enstars only has humans! Crossover events with other games don't count...)

Hmmm... maybe a month or two ago? Shortly before Natsume started college?

At least passive aggressive is better than ignoring him. But it's good to have topics they can explore. (I remembered correctly then, I wasn't sure)

That sounds good, then they're not complete strangers but don't yet know each other well.

That's true! He's definitely not the ignore completely type.

And yes! Gives us lots of room to work with them too.
