Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this.
• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU NAME: Sean Aster?? Solange Aster?? Something... 'Aster'.
AU AGE: 20
AU OCCUPATION: College student/student-teacher at the local high school by day, volunteer at the hospital by evening (and weekend), and super-studious at night, Sion Astal's current occupation is a machine (no, really, he never sleeps or eats)!!

BLURB:

-Transfer student to Recolle University from France, has lived in Recolle for a little over two years.
-The reason for the transfer is a 'secret': born to a v. ruthless, v. corrupt politician of a father, Sion transferred to a different University at the behest of his mother who, at the time, did not wish for Sion's future to be tarnished by his father's name.
-Super sociable and affable by day, loner at night. Have you ever lost your way on campus? Ever had your belongings stolen by some petty thief? Have you ever had a no good, very bad day? Sion gave you directions, chased down that thief and retrieved your belongings, and cheered you up with flowers and pastries all in swift succession. He easily falls into the 'mom friend' category and will always go out of his way to help someone else, until...!
-No one else is around, and Sion turns into a broodmaster. At times, he's so distant and withdrawn he seems strangely like a different person...?
-Has a reputation for being effortlessly (and annoyingly) good at everything. Perfect grades, perfect at extra-circulars, and perfect hair?!
-Likes to play the violin while staring forlornly out of windows in high places
-Actually just adores high places and probably does parkour runs over the buildings on Recolle University's campus.
-Has an adorable puppy named Dango (probably). It's a good conversation starter??

LOOKING FOR:

-COLLEGE BUDDIES. People who Sion might be tutoring, have class with, or hxc study sessions with!!
-HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO MENTOR. As Sion is a student-teacher at the high-school, and is very easily a nurturing type, I'd love to grab some cr here. o/
-PEOPLE TO VOLUNTEER AT THE HOSPTIAL WITH. Sion will likely volunteer in one of the clinic /playrooms/waiting areas and be a greeter.
-PEOPLE WHO CAN GET HIM TO TAKE CARE OF HIMSEF. Warning: this is something of a feat.
-MAYBE A ROOMMATE??

So. How awkward would it be for Sion if his roommate is a former hitman and might have been possibly hired by his father at some point in his past? :|a

Why not go full awkward and have Ja'far recognize Sion when Sion has no idea that Ja'far ever worked for his father???

Also Sion will routinely bring new books for Ja'far to read and hide them in cute places. Like under his pillow. Or inside of his work brief-case. And such. ' A'

I am 100% all for this. It'd be awkward living with his former client's son. ~~And working as his bodyguard, too.~~

....Sion, why so cute. Ja'far would actually find it endearing. There might be some breakfast all cooked up and ready for Sion, too, before he has leave for any classes.

We've already spoken about the possibility of the student/mentor relationship going a bit 'wrong' here, and I'm really eager for the various possibilities all of that entails!

Also, the dog is super cute. Super, super cute~!

The retriever puppy is everything. It's actually supposed to mimic Sion's dog from canon... which died tragically. I THINK I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT. MAYBE.

Anyway, I definitely want Sion to aid and abet your chocobo criminal at some point, haha. 8')

I think I remember that! Gosh, for a title as whimsical as it has, LOLH pulls no punches!

I also had a thought that it'd be hilarious if Sion's 'bodyguard' felt it necessary to protect him from the infamous Chocobo Thief at some point. I mean, the whole thing would be ridiculous!

what a good dog... If Dango's still young enough to need shots/checkups, Minato works at the vet's and could see him there! Otherwise, please give Minato directions if he looks lost (he constantly looks lost), probably around the uni campus since he isn't officially a student there, or the hospital because hospitals are just downright huge and confusing and 80% of his time there is spend blocking hallways to read signs/directories

Sion would definitely scoop the kid up -- he's fond of harassing quieter types into being social and taking them on "day off filler episode" type excursions. Will absolutely go out of his way to fabricate a fantastic scenario where ONLY MINATO CAN HELP DANGO and then use that as footing to drag Minato shopping, to karaoke, and then somehow lead into sharing ice cream on the roof of the tallest building in Recolle???

I apologize for Sion in advance.....

omg Minato definitely needs a friend like Sion, please let him believe he's The Chosen One and thanks for taking him out to do things because otherwise he would literally sit in his room all day and nobody would ever get to hear him belt out songs in karaoke and the world would be missing out

Kiyoshi has a 4yo bearded collie named Hestia, Dango should be or become her friend.

And Sion should become Kiyoshi's friend because Kiyoshi is a musician, though he plays the shamisen and koto.

Plus, Sion could totally bring people to the tea house Kiyoshi works at when they need some cheering up.

That Kiyoshi is actually the bastard son of a yakuza lawyer is just a plus..minus...whichever it can be seen as. It's a thing, anyway.

Meanwhile I already have a uni art teacher in game who'll try to make Sion take care of himself.

Puppy play dates? I think it's time for puppy play dates. Dango will surely enjoy Hestia's company. ' A'

I like the idea of these two bonding a bit over music, as well!! Maybe Kiyoshi could be teaching Sion how to play the shamisen/koto? Music is a pretty big outlet for him (and he would also try to repay Kiyoshi for the lessons!!).

Puppy play dates is a thing. Hestia will adopt the little thing and watch it become a big thing.

He could definitely do that. All he would need to do is ask. (And all he would need to do to replay him is buy him something to eat or something, he's not picky but he does like food)
